If we prioritize discretionary funds first but forget the basic funds for our daily needs, this sometimes makes investors take the wrong steps in their investments.
Discretionary funds is what is left after taking care of your expenses, so if the investor does not attend to his expenses first, and then goes ahead to invest, then it is most likely he is not investing only from his discretionary funds and as such is gambling with bitcoin rather than investing. Such is a very bad cashflow management practice since there is higher chances that he tampers his portfolio to sort out a need. This can be understood if such practices is seen in a newbie investor since he is still learning to manage his cashflow properly, but for someone already into bitcoin for a while, it shows they've learned nothing about cashflow management practice, despite having being into bitcoin for sometime. Such an investor might keep depreciating their portfolio to settle needs as they arise which should have been considered even before investing.

The idea of learning is not totally a bad idea, because according to what you said earlier that once you are opportune of knowing how to read and understand that you are capable of investing in Bitcoin, i don't argue with you about that but Bitcoin is more than reading with being able to know the basics things without being shown on how to go about because there are some kind areas of Bitcoin you as newbies don't need to guse about how it works, so if newbies say that he knows to learn, he is not totally wrong about and the process of learning he can still consider to buy once the investors that introduced he to Bitcoin has been able to show him how to go about his investment and attach to with the one he might gotten from the forum and research too. Are you proclaiming that something needs to be learned before getting started buying bitcoin, and if so then what needs to be learned before getting started?

1) Self-Custody is a right. Resist being labelled as: "non-custodial" or "un-hosted." 2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized. 3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

There’s no reason for folks to start complicating things for themselves, like thinking you need to go deep in to learning how bitcoin works (with the technical aspects), before you can get started . In what such mindset you are already wasting time and missing good buying opportunities because the Market prices wait for no one , what you actually need is the basic knowledge (like where to buy , where to store , ). which wouldn’t take much time to grasp , as time goes you can decide to go further in your learning as you accumulate to build more understanding and confidence.

Folk don't need to go deep in knowledge like knowing everything about bitcoin before they are ready to invest rather they only need discretionary income and basic knowledge. It is a wast of time studying to have complete knowledge when folks can get started using their discretionary fund. If folk have the basics knowledge there's no need knowing everything about bitcoin because doing so might delay them from kickstarting their bitcoin accumulation journey. Since what folks needs is only their discretionary and basics knowledge to get started there's no reason why they should wasting further time trying to know everything about bitcoin rather they should get started at once, they will learn more as they invest.

Anybody who can read and understand can invest in bitcoin what is important is if they have discretionary income, discretionary income is the major tools in investing in bitcoin it's when you are investing you are going to know more about bitcoin investment those who are saying they need to learn first before starting are just giving unnecessary excuses it's either they don't have there discretionary income or are traders waiting for slit dip to buy and sell if there is an increase, any one who uses money that isn't his discretionary income is gambling and also a trader because he will be long in the market.
There is nothing to learn about bitcoin, learning they say never end so if you want to be learning then you are not ready to start yet. Common sense should tell you what to do, common sense and discretionary income is what that is needed to start buying bitcoin people who say they want to study bitcoin first are never serious and they have no excuse not to get start, people can be investing and the same time understanding the market the time you want to use to be learning and wasting it can be used in buying bitcoin and hodl for 4-10 years and more.

Of course, starting Bitcoin investment is the most important and should be the first priority. To start Bitcoin investment, a beginner's discretionary fund and common sense are enough. A person will evaluate his financial situation and his personal situation and decide whether to start investing or not. However, a person who wants to invest needs to start investing first and after starting investing, he can gain knowledge in parallel and move forward with the investment. Common sense may not say that they need to know anything special except whether they have discretionary funds. However, when starting investment, we need to pay some attention to the emergency fund. Many times it is seen that many people start investing but they do not pay much attention to their security and for this they have to face danger.

Someone who wants to prioritize leaning everything about Bitcoin will just lose track of time and opportunities and moreover one thing I have noticed is that most of them doesn't even end up investing after all those knowledge they've waste their time in gathering. If they were to begin their investments with the little basics of how to buy and store , then they can go further in learning more things. You are right about the emergency funds, it is very important stuff that Investors who wants to succeed in the Bitcoin investments for the long term must have. Prioritizing your emergency funds after beginning your investments is a good option and it shouldn't be a wimpy savings.

Bitcoin is best learnt through involvement rather than self exclusion... Folks should just start and do the learning as they go.. For sure there is no need for a beginner to delay investing in bitcoin with the idea that they want to acquire basic knowledge before they can start. This is wrong because this will only delay them and they will continue to be a no coiner. I believe with common sense a beginner should be able to figure out most of the things he listed as basic knowledge that a beginner needs before starting. Discretionary income is what a beginner needs to have before they can start accumulating bitcoin.

I agree that many people fall into "analysis paralysis" and end up delaying for too long. Waiting until you know everything before buying often means missing years of potential accumulation. That said, understanding the basics still matters. You don't need a degree in Bitcoin before you start, but you should know what you're buying, how to store it safely, and why you're investing. If you already have discretionary income, you can begin with small, consistent purchases while continuing to learn along the way. Investing and learning don't have to happen one after the other—they can happen together.

I believe with common sense a beginner should be able to figure out most of the things he listed as basic knowledge that a beginner needs before starting. Discretionary income is what a beginner needs to have before they can start accumulating bitcoin. Before starting to invest in Bitcoin, investors should find their source of Bitcoin. They should compare the sources so that they feel comfortable. Investors should have enough common sense to balance their considerations regarding the source and their comfort. Whenever they have extra money, they should start buying Bitcoin as soon as possible. The vast majority of ordinary people have common sense and starting work helps them to put that common sense into practice as soon as possible. Practice and application are also a means of learning for them. Knowledgeable people can change according to their needs. Many people may have a small starting amount due to the problems of fundraising and other problems related to their own accounting of the availability of discretionary funds on a regular basis. Those who have regular discretionary funds will probably find it easier to invest regularly. Compared to those who have fluctuations in income and expenses that create irregularities and regularly reduce the amount of discretionary funds.

I'm not saying what have not been discussed within the forum, so i was only supporting the motion that newbies needs to learn one or two things on how go about his Bitcoin investments and how it actually works too, so this is the reason why i made such statement, that newbie learning Bitcoin is not a bad idea because any newbie that has not acquired the basic knowledge on how to go about with his Bitcoin portfolio can end up losing money on the process, all in the name of practicing what he doesn't have idea on, so on the second thought, i don't extremely mean that newbies should learn everything before they could investing, know, i don't meant it that way because Bitcoin is keeps upgrading on a daily basis, so as a newbie you don't have to wait to learn everything before investing.

Before starting to invest in Bitcoin, investors should find their source of Bitcoin. They should compare the sources so that they feel comfortable. Investors should have enough common sense to balance their considerations regarding the source and their comfort.
Source of Bitcoin! The word seems new to me, I have never heard such a word before. I have tried to find the meaning of this word, but I have not found the relevant meaning yet. If you mean "source of Bitcoin" to refer to information related to Bitcoin or to general knowledge about Bitcoin, then I think we should not spend too much time looking for the source of Bitcoin. If you have discretionary money, then do not look for any excuse to start investing, but start investing immediately. You can freely search for any source and compare it while investing.

Secondly, you @Creeper0, I'm still trying to comprehend your write up here because you seem like to be missing up things. Perhaps you guys should just go back and check on your post before reposting so you won't be miss misleading newbies. However, I hope you don't get things twisted, it's just one of those ways we do learn from each other.

Are you proclaiming that something needs to be learned before getting started buying bitcoin, and if so then what needs to be learned before getting started?
To get started In buying bitcoin, a newbie will only need to check if they have a discretionary income to enable them start buying bitcoin and the moment they’re able to figure out the discretionary income then they can use it and start buying bitcoin and hold, no two ways about it and for this purpose I don’t see the need for them learning one or two before they can start buying the bitcoin because what is only needed to buy is their discretionary income. Perhaps the one or two is for them to figure out a discretionary income and also be able to decide how much of their discretionary income they will want to use in buying bitcoin and how much they will want to allocate for their emergency and other back up funds as these are the main things a bitcoin investor needs to invest in bitcoin, every other thing can be learned from their experience while ongoingly buying and investing in bitcoin.

I get what they were saying, the only problem was that they decided to substitute knowledge with 'bitcoin source' which is something we can all agree on to be potentially misleading to newbies who don't know what they are talking about, misleading might not even be the word here, confusing instead makes more sense, better to stick to terms that won't confuse anyone who reads it, the clearer their statements are the less likely people are to get confused from it.

Guys used to get the wrong idea about investing most of the time. They think they need to know everything and get everything figured out before they can started to be investing, but that's just wrong. Person must not have everything figured out before the person cannot start to be investing. With discretionary income and common sense, guys can start to be investing ongoingly, little by little and then they can figure out other things along the way. Guys should just get the fuck started, and quit delaying.
