I agree that building an emergency fund should come before investing heavily in Bitcoin. The market can be unpredictable, so having some savings for unexpected expenses makes a big difference.
From experience, waiting to complete an emergency fund will delay accumulation to achieve the goal in mind. Accumulation and an emergency fund can be done at the same time to avoid wasting time.

The discretionary income is divided into different parts, some percentage for the emergency fund and another percentage for bitcoin accumulation. After reaching the emergency fund target, convert the percentage used for saving the emergency fund and add it to the bitcoin accumulation percentage to increase accumulation.

There is no need to pause your bitcoin accumulation while building your emergency fund as doing so might delay you from starting your accumulation. Building your emergency fund is necessary as it will protect your bitcoin investment from emergencies but pausing your accumulation doesn't seem to be the right thing to do, instead of pausing your bitcoin accumulation and build your emergency fund, you can build both your emergency fund and bitcoin investment simultaneously. By doing so, you won't missed any buying opportunity while  building your emergency fund that will protect your investment from emergency.

You don't need to completely stop buying Bitcoin to build an emergency fund. What's important is how you plan your finances based on your financial responsibilities and current savings. The main purpose of an emergency fund is to have the necessary funds in case of a sudden financial crisis so that you don't have to sell Bitcoin at a loss. The purpose of accumulating Bitcoin is to build wealth in the long term. One does not need to completely ignore the other. You can keep a part of the money under consideration in Bitcoin and another part in an emergency fund. Everyone's real life problems are different, so whether it is necessary to stop buying Bitcoin to build an emergency fund or not cannot be judged by a specific rule. What is your current financial situation. And how prepared are you if an unexpected situation arises. Not only is it wrong to neglect emergency savings for fear of missing out on the opportunity to buy Bitcoin, but a strict rule that you cannot start investing in Bitcoin until the emergency fund is fully built is also not suitable for everyone. Maintain a balance between building an emergency fund and accumulating Bitcoin according to your financial capabilities.

Is this an advice to your fellow newbies or a suggestion? Why I won't want to go hard on you is that, you may not know how Bitcoin investment should be followed, although we all are learning, but you should know there's no where it was written or been said that emergency funds should be available before one can invest, despite the unpredictability of the market, one has start before building emergency funds, and instead of building emergency funds, it is adviceable for newbies to invest at the same time build their emergency funds instead of build building an emergency first to safeguard something that's not in progress, yea making provision on how to address any emergency is very ideal but the right approach should be applied.

Even after starting to invest, a person can continue to have an emergency fund and investments in parallel. A person does not need to wait to build an emergency fund before investing a large amount of money. If a person waits, he may fall behind and miss out on buying opportunities. So, the best decision for that person is to set aside money for emergency fund and investments and extra expenses from the day he starts investing instead of waiting.

He can divide his discretionary income into three parts. For example, one part is for emergency fund, one part is for investments, and one part is for extra expenses. He can decide how much money to keep in each part depending on his financial situation.

Yeah, emergency funds shouldn’t be an hinder to your investment when come to investment. Though having an emergency funds stack down before coming or knowing about bitcoin is a whole different thing. That will surely give an advantage to focus more on your bitcoin , cause you have already built up your emergency funds to some extent before even knowing about bitcoin.

In a scenario whereby you haven’t gotten enough emergency funds before coming into bitcoin investment, you don’t need to first build that emergency funds before buying bitcoin . You can just build your emergency funds as you accumulate more bitcoin Like Promocodeudo mentioned. Though , either way make sure you’re doing both . Make sure you have emergency funds as you accumulate so that your investments won’t endup turning to your emergency funds.

Emergency funds are very important for anyone investing in Bitcoin. Life is very unpredictable, and unexpected emergencies can happen that requires money immediately. At that moment, the emergency funds you set aside will save you from the stress.

As a newbie, one thing i understand from emergency funds is that it may not be necessarily for everyone to have before investing. Emergencies are not something that can happen all the time, and setting aside emergency funds may be difficult from the beginning. If anyone encounters it, they can put it aside and build the emergency funds later. It’s never too late to build emergency funds along the investment journey.

It is not a wise choice to put aside building your emergency funds alongside your Bitcoin accumulation, because if emergency situation comes up that early days of your Bitcoin investment, you may sell it off or temper with it, so that you can take care of that emergency needs at hand, so my advice to you is that you should try to build your emergency funds alongside your Bitcoin accumulation, so that if an emergency pop up anytime, you will have a back up fund to attend to such needs

If he thinks it should be kept aside and built later i wonder what he thinks he'll use to settle an emergency situation that happens before the time he intends building it or does he thinks it's from the investment? Cause if it happens on the long run, he'll have no choice but to sell at lose to solve it which is bad.

That's why, if an investor haven't got an emergency fund intact before starting his investment journey the person can build it simultaneously with the investment, some people don't really understand the importance of the emergency funds to Bitcoin investment.

Instead of not having an emergency to delay you from buying bitcoin it will be better you get started if you have your discretionary income available and gradually start building up your back up funds or emergency funds along as you are buying bitcoin.
Emergency funds are very important when investing in BTC because it's going prevent you not sell your bitcoin holding when there is an emergency but this doesn't mean you shouldn't invest in bitcoin if you have your discretionary income and never figured out your emergency funds.

Let's look at it from a point of view that has been discussed here before and in this assumption we are going to assume the person is using all of their discretionary income to build their emergency fund.
A person earns 500k naira every month and their expenses burns through 400k of that 500k leaving them with 100k discretionary income, assuming they are using all of that to build their emergency fund it will take them 4 months to be able to build up to 1 month worth of their expenses so in order to have 3 months worth of their expenses in emergency fund they will have to save for a year, you are saying thstxwe should first spend a year building up our emergency fund before we can start buying bitcoin.
That is not a very smart move for an investor to make especially here in Nigeria where we know that wetin the space of 1 year the price of goods can more than double meaning you might not even have discretionary income for some of the months of the year meaning your waiting period will most likely last longer than a year and we are still also ignoring our discretionary spendings.
It will be much better to split your discretionary income to be able to service your investment, your emergency fund and also your discretionary spendings however small they may be than to decide to pour everything into just your emergency fund.

I know that you are a newbie, so you may likely not know that trying to build your emergency funds before starting your Bitcoin investment will delay your accumulation, because it will take a lot of time to build a strong emergency funds that can sustain you and your investment for a period of three months, so trying to put all that in place before starting is time wasting,
You should have read @Lilycollins's words more carefully. You read his words as advice to complete an emergency fund before starting to invest. But he actually said to have an emergency fund before making a large investment. I don't think his words are completely unreasonable. Having some protection before making a large investment and having to fully fund before buying your first Bitcoin are two different decisions.

so it is more better that you buy regularly and be putting down your emergency funds alongside it because pausing one for the other will make the investment unproductive, so doing it simultaneously is the best, if you truly want to be successful in your investment.
Well, let's say I'm talking about someone who may have an uncertain income next month, has very little cash on hand, and needs to meet essential expenses that month. In his case, it may not be possible to pay for both at the same time. I think in such a situation, prioritizing a few weeks of cash protection and starting to buy Bitcoin again later might be a realistic decision. Again, if someone has discretionary income after meeting all their essential expenses, it is possible for them to put part of it in Bitcoin and the other part in an emergency fund from the beginning. But how much money goes where will depend on current savings, reliability of income, and upcoming expenses.

After reaching the emergency fund target, convert the percentage used for saving the emergency fund and add it to the bitcoin accumulation percentage to increase accumulation.
Increasing your allocation to Bitcoin after you reach your goal is a possible option, but not a mandatory next step.

First, you need to understand that your emergency fund goal is not a fixed number that you want to meet. It may happen that your monthly expenses increase, new responsibilities may arise for your family, or the reliability of your regular income may decrease. The amount of emergency fund that was sufficient for you before may not be sufficient after a few months. Again, if you spend from the fund for an emergency at some point, it will need to be replenished.

Second, I personally think that as your Bitcoin savings grow, it is also important to be prepared not to sell your assets at an unnecessary time. The cash protection that seemed reasonable when you had a small amount of Bitcoin, may not always be enough now that your investments are much larger.

Try to understand that we all see differently, so I or some other person may not see a reason from our own perspective on what he was actually saying. You may disagree or argue with me if you want, but it is a normal thing to me because I don't expect us to see things the same way.

Even though an investor has an uncertain financial reality, like he is not certain of his next income and bills and debt has already pilled up, he can still invest and put down his back up funds simultaneously with it, if he can figure out his discretionary income, because the key thing there is figuring out his discretionary income, with is a funds that is left after all his needs and his debt has been paid, because all he just need is to divide it into three equal part, one for investment, one for emergency and reserve funds and one for discretionary consumption. So if things are done like that consistently, he will have no problem, and his investment will progress safely.

Investment asides, everyone should have an emergency funds and you don't necessarily need am Investment to make you have, emergency situations can happen to people who haven't started investing in Bitcoin or is it only investors that have emergency situations? My answer to your question is that you're saving it to help solve emergency situations.

Why it's important for investors is that they won't have to tamper with their investment or sell at lose to solve it when it occurs which us why theh should have it ready and those who don't have it can save it up together with the investment.

One should not wait for a specific stage of investment to form an emergency fund. One of the objectives of investment is to ensure future financial security. If there is no necessary financial preparation to maintain that investment, the entire plan is at risk. It is not that one cannot start investing in Bitcoin until the emergency fund is fully formed. It may be difficult for a person with limited income to form an emergency fund and invest at the same time. In such a situation, leaving everything behind and just chasing after forming an emergency fund. Or investing the entire surplus money in Bitcoin without leaving any savings is not a suitable decision for all people. The money can be divided according to one's financial capacity. This ratio may change according to income, responsibilities and financial situation. There is no need to wait until a specific stage of investment to form an emergency fund. Again, there is no need to postpone the investment plan indefinitely due to not being able to form a complete fund at the beginning. Build an emergency fund little by little according to one's capacity and invest responsibly at the same time. It is probably never too late to form an emergency fund. But if an emergency situation arises before it is formed, it can be very difficult to deal with its consequences. Therefore, it is better to prepare for the emergency fund from a small amount rather than waiting for a disaster.

You are wrong bro, emergency funds isn't only to protect your Bitcoin investments. Even if you are not investing you still need have an emergency funds to protect you. Maybe in a period where your income stops coming in  for a while, or to handle unexpected expenses. Okay let's imagine you don't have any emergency funds and also you are in a period where you are having some issues with your income maybe salaries being owed and an issue arises. The only choice you have is to look for ways to borrow. But if you have money set aside for emergency sakes, you won't have worry about borrowing anything. You don't need to be an investor before you can have savings for emergencies. Some people might have their emergency funds set aside long before they were introduced into Bitcoin investments. So emergency funds isn't only protecting your investment but also your self.
