So what does “winning” really mean to you? What keeps you coming back to gamble?

Winning in gambling means many different things to me. Winning in gambling means
- I win the actual money.
- I lose but don't chase the loss.
- I know when to quit even I am winning.
- I have a fair knowledge of the game.

Since I mostly play games that are luck based, once I am able to fulfill the above, that is a win for me.

One would waste money just to take a vacation to watch a beautiful scenery or one would waste money just to watch a movie at the cinema. It's not something stupid but it's a choice that has to be made to spend small amounts of money in search of pleasure.

So what does “winning” really mean to you? What keeps you coming back to gamble?

The definition of winning for me is to stop betting when I lose a few percent of my budget and stop betting when I get a win and withdraw the winnings.

But it's really not easy to be able to meet all the points you mentioned.
Sometimes someone who is new to gambling just wants a bear win and there is no control over the winnings and losses that happen, they are blind and without any management.

Gambling with an overly greedy initial intention will only result in a lot of regrets in the end,
but if you gamble only for entertainment and know where the boundaries should not be crossed it will be a fun gamble and the goal of fun and victory on gambling can be obtained.

Winnings are not just on money and how much money is made from gambling, but from satisfaction on gambling games and betting.

I felt that when I played, I didn't feel like I was losing even though the money allocation was provided to play and the bets were gone,

The reason why gambling industry is so growing and profitable is they create an illusion that winning is possible but mathematically it never is. Every long term gambler would lose due to house edge. It's a hook to get you involved.
Once you start gambling, there's no going back. No one would just win a jackpot and say I'm done. I'll live my whole life with this money and never come back to gambling. Or anyone getting to 1K in profit and leaving gambling altogether.  A bad loser may stop gambling but a winner would never.
Gambling always was and would be a part of our society but with the ease of online gambling and all our finances being done online, people are more likely to lose more money without seeing them as cash.

.To play the game and have fun, hoping that I may have the luck to win. Despite gambling being unpredictable, it is still possible to win, but one has to go about it with wisdom. If you approach winning with desperation, then there is no need to gamble because it will just be a total waste.

There’s some people that think objectively such as when they have fun they already considered as winner and other objective reasoning that is not related on winning the money since it’s very hard to come up at profit in the end when gambling in the long run.

Sincerely winning means getting profits from my bets. Yeah, we gamble to get some fun or to be entertained, but it is incomplete without wins. Having a long losing streak could be discouraging.  But when you win periodically or get a big win, gambling becomes more fulfilling. I think gambly is part of entertainment for many gamblers nothing too serious they don't take much to heart they rather concentrate on the entertainment benefits of gambling to them than paying attention to what many gamblers see as the negative side of gambling is losing so because of this fact they keep coming back for more, let's not forget that some people go to casino halls to gambler not necessarily because they want to win money although some person will say but gambling is an emotional, yea it is but some people go their to gamble to keep their minds preoccupied to enable the erase some disturbing memories, so despite the Perceived negative side of gambling people most gamble and the industry will keep growing despite that the percentage of losing is higher than winnings.

In the aspect of what it meant by winning to individual gambler I think it means almost the same thing to a high percentage of gamblers but the fun seekers, they really dont see winning as anything because after all they aren't really into gambling for the returns actually but that doesn't mean that if they win they won't get happy though.

even if you choose to stop gambling after you most have experience series of loses, this decision is just within yourself as other people will not do the same.and Yes, alot of people quited from gambling since  they don't see something good coming from it. yet it was as if no one has ever quited, that is because the more people are quitting from gamble that's the More new gamblers will keep coming. Gambling is like a vice that we cannot stop doing because it is what we are used to doing, or it can be compared to eating where if we stop eating the result will be that we will be hungry.

The real definition of winning in gambling is being able to maximize your Profit and reduce the losses that you incur overtime. Winning for me is when I successfully withdraw money from the winnings and enjoy it. I will not win anything if I do not enjoy it in the end. Sometimes gamblers have won, but because they are not satisfied, they continue to gamble and eventually lose everything they have won.
Feeling the joy of victory is actually simple. It's just that we are too focused on the number of losses in the previous game, which makes us unable to feel the victory we have achieved.

The definition of winning is very simple (and there can be no misunderstanding): if the amount of money you receive after completing a gaming session exceeds the amount of money you bet, then this is called winning.

The desire to gain a benefit pushes people to return to gambling, even if they have previously lost. Losing is not purposeful, because no gambler comes to the casino to lose. I think what bring people back to gambling is the game, it creates a certain kind of excitement that relieves the mind or it engages you at that point in time that you are involved in it. I'm talking of table games too.

However, I have heard people saying that it creates more excitement when you involve money in it which is where the gambling aspect come in. Even those who are involved in table games now have to bet money on it despite the engagement that they ordinarily get from playing such game. Casino players too get excitement with watching or playing but I think the full excitement and commitment is when money is staked on it but there is that strive to wini and winning means beating bookmakers to their odds.

If you like drinking alcohol, what makes you continue to drink it? Because you enjoy drinking it but it is good to drink responsibly. That is how gambling is and it is good to gamble responsibly. Many people gamble for fun while some people just like how to use small money for it.

If anyone is losing more and getting addicted, the person can stop gambling.

That's a great analogy buddy, because everyone has different reasons why they decide to keep gambling, despite losing in the long run. I personally, basically consider gambling not purely as entertainment, but rather an escape from various problems that are being faced in real life. When gambling the heart beats fast, full of adrenaline, this is a feeling that is only felt when gambling and it is different compared to riding rides or others, it is fun even if you have to sacrifice money, which is certain as long as you use money that you can afford to lose, it will not be a problem.

The reason why many of us keep gambling is because of the hope we always have that one day, we are going to win too. For someone to keep trying their luck, I don't think it's a bad thing, because even those who win big amounts of money often do so the first time they gamble they just get lucky. So, it may take many people several tries before they see their luck.

Another thing about gambling is that playing it is fun. As for me, the reason why I have not given up on gambling is because I have experienced some wins before, and I still believe I will win more  and even win big  one day.But the truth about me is that I don't take gambling as a do or die situation. The answer is simple.

So, if I the definition of people continue to gamble, not the count of defeat but the count of winnings, for that at the time of winning it arises a sense of wanting to gamble again, with one victory it can cover four other defeats, that is the definition of people who continue to gamble.

The reality is, that most of us are fools, and that's why even though we lose most of the time, we still keep going back and gamble whenever we have money to spare, and that we is the gamblers who believe that in one of these days, they might have their life changed by a win that they have always anticipated but never got, and that's the motivation that keeps bringing them back despite all the money they have lost in the past. This is how the industry keeps growing and how most of the casinos make their revenue because people "hope" for the best, and in that hope, they lose, but they still continue.

There are also some gamblers who enjoy the mere experience, and they barely care about losing because they don't use money that they can't afford to lose, so for them, it's just the experience that they want and that also gives the casino some revenue because after all, they are still losing some money even if it's not a lot.

So, different people have different perspectives and mindsets towards gambling, but the biggest of them all is that "hope" that I mentioned earlier, which makes them gamble even after losing every time.
