As we saw from Galatasaray’s result against Frankfurt tonight, unfortunately Turkish teams are not successful in Europe because there is a big difference between the football played in our league and the football played in Europe.
Our Turkish teams are only good in their own league.
We want them to succeed in Europe, but as we can see, it just doesn’t happen.

I even bet on them, thinking that with the current squad they would be able to defeat Frankfurt, who are not Bundesliga champions and who are not fighting for the Bundesliga title. Look at premier league, while it is true that teams like have difference, but the reality is that transfermarkt shows the difference between lowest value team and highest value team is just 5.8 times higher, whereas in turkey that is 16 times higher. Obviously transfermarket is not the place you look at that, but it's true in any case, the gap is too big.

This means, turkish teams play with horrible low level teams every single year. So turkey needs to figure out a way to get these teams better, in order to make big clubs to play better teams every week. They just beat amateur level teams every week, how can they get ready for UCL that way?

Seriously, I was stunned by Galatasaray's performance yesterday. They had a three match winning streak in the league, while Frankfurt had some mixed results. So, going into the match, I thought they would win or at least get a draw, but they messed up big time. I hope they pick themselves up and get good results in subsequent matches. They've no reason not to do well in the champions league because they've got a good squad.

Ali Koç is expected to be elected, I hope he isn't it would be a surprise. 49,268 members will be able to vote in this election, and the president will be determined on Sunday. The other candidate is Sadettin Saran. All fans want Sadettin Saran elected, and I hope he does.

When i saw the current statistics of Göztepe, i was convinced that they will win Besiktas considering the fact that Besiktas are not stable in their form but i bet on Besiktas to score just one goa, they failed and ruined my bet. Seems i won't be including any match that concerns Besiktas in my bet again or i might start betting against them till they pick up form. Was thinking that after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked, Sergen Yalçın will put things in order but as it is now they are even performing more badly than they were under Solskjaer. However, Göztepe is showing good signs of a strong team, they have won 3 matches and drew 3 games out of the 6 matches they have played so far so i see them as a fast rising club that can compete for the title race in the future.

The referee allowed too much rough play and didn't call fouls. He didn't show cards where he should have. He also didn't award a penalty. However, it's a proven fact that this referee is biased. Ultimately, even if a normal referee had officiated the match, it would have been difficult because Sergen Yalçın didn't prepare well. This point loss was unfortunate, and they need to make up for it in the upcoming matches.

From Göztepe's perspective, the team has risen to a higher level since Ankersen became president. With the 41-year-old's young chairman, Göztepe sold Romulo to the Bundesliga. They've also brought in several young players with potential. They're playing better every day.

I think if it hadn’t been for Osimhen’s injury, and if he had played against Frankfurt, he could have made the difference for Galatasaray. With him on the pitch, they might have even won, or at least secured the draw. By any name without Victor Osimhen Galatasaray is a noticeably different team, and honestly, they’re a class below the top European sides. By the way, any rumors about when he’ll recover and return to the squad? ^{I’ve postponed my bets on Galatasaray until he’s back in action}.

We could say Beşiktaş has been unlucky with managers. The team is lacking something, and every season there's always a problem. Solskjær was someone we liked, but he wasn't successful. We also like Sergen Yalçın, but I don't think he'll be very successful either. Managers who come to this league invariably face failure, and it's really hard to understand. Even if you're the best in the world, you're bound to have problems with the referees or the federation.
