So if you're too soft to bet on ww3 or nukes going on, you can bet on the second coming of Jesus!
After we had the option on betting on the next pope, why not on Jesus or the Rapture?

This also came across my feed on X. I smiled a little. This is a different kind of bet. It has a different kind of humor in it. I think I am not interested to make a bet.

Funny though, I think this and other weird prediction options on Polymarket could be a better alternative for bank savings or a hedge against inflation. Ha ha.

I believe this is a useless bet and only fools will bet on a spiritual thing like this because nobody knows when will be the second coming of our lord Jesus christ. According the bible, Jesus and the angels in heaven don't know when but on God knows this Mt 24-36. I wonder if men are now God to bet on mysterious things. I don't want to start considering some gamblers as people are lost in the world.

This is not right, I believe that it is ridiculing Christianity and should be discouraged, as a Christian, I think that it is disrespectful to gamble about the coming of Jesus Christ. I saw a gambling thread on American involvement in Israel, Iran, war, that is also not proper by my assessment, there really should be a limit to what people can bet money on, they should respect religions and what concerns the life of innocent people. I admit that I immediately thought that they had stolen your account, the title literally amazed me!
However, this is a bet bordering on the unbelievable, on paper it has everything on the table to be a bet, from the religious side
if it really comes (from how it is spoken of in the Apocalypse) it will be the end, so the bet would be useless.
Returning to the facts I see it more of a marketing ploy than a bet, this is my point of view!

I would never in any way think of placing such bet in my life. However, as a good gambler that understand gambling very well would know that placing a bet on return of Jesus Christ is like a very big slap. Because is pretty obvious that no one knows the coming of the lord, even the bible often said that he would come when we don't expect. To be honest placing such bet is totally a waste of time.

I didn't know that such a thing exist in the poly market and I don't think I can bet on it. 3 percent chance shows that they are of the opinion that it's not happening in 2025 and it's a disrespect to Christianity. It's wrong to put people's religion as a gamble, funny enough people don't joke with Islam like that. The percentage given shows that they are trying to say it's not going to happen. Anything related to religion I would just avoid, I mean anything related to religion is not something ethical for us to bet on. But maybe some people think that "it's just religion, what's so special about it" or whatever that makes them look down on it and think that it's not something that's disrespectful. But this is about other people's beliefs, and I don't think that's something that's appropriate. There are many other things that can be bet on, and it should make more sense than betting on something like this.

ethically it is indeed not appropriate, it has many interpretations that are very bad, like being played, because religion should not be a fun joke in gambling, this can be interpreted as an insult, but it comes back to your preference.
If I were a Christian I would definitely be very angry with something like this, because an important part / sign of divinity / or sub that includes religion should not be used as a guessing game for gamblers.

If betting on policy, general elections, war, I think it makes more sense and is not a problem, but why do they dare to do it? is there no law that regulates it so that they are free to issue bets in any form, even though your parents are the betting tool?. LOL

Definitely Jesus is not yet coming this year.

What if Jesus comes and take the righteous people, that means they will lose if they bet on Jesus is coming because they will leave the earth. Also no one knows if everybody will be dead by then and only their souls and spiritual will remain alive.

I guess not a believer that set this kind of bet because a believer that know what rapture is will not think of setting a bet like this.

Honestly, I'm not surprised that there are people betting on this. I've constantly heard some religious people saying that "Jesus will soon return to save the Earth", year goes by and doesn't come. Again I see them saying "Jesus will soon return to save the Earth", year ends and nothing happens, so I'm not surprised to see that there are people who are betting on the coming or not of Jesus. These people who are betting on this, most of them really believe that Jesus will return. I personally wouldn't bet on it.

It is useless to you because you are a Christian.  For other people who are not religious, it is fun or an avenue to make money. According to the Bible, nobody knows when Lord Jesus will come. It could be in a few minutes or later this year, which would make the bets valid. But it's really sad to see how bets are placed on sensitive issues such as war, religion,  etc. I wouldn't place bets on these events because it's against my beliefs.

I wouldn't trust polymarket with serious money because the stakeholders have a big big conflict of interest give that they're also the biggest gamblers in the platform.

They could flip this market on entirely subjective bias just like they've done in the past. I've made a topic about such instance where in spite of ample evidence that the market should have closed at a certain direction, they picked the opposite:

It was a big controversy at the time because it became obvious that one of the largest punters in this market has also managed to sway the decision on how it should close. It's a big structural weakness on how a decentralized prediction market would work. I'd say this is one of the cases where trust is ok to be put on a centralized platform. Truly, not everything can be decentralized. And the fact that this market was created could just be a trap for anyone betting on the minority side. The stakeholders closing the markets have little to lose from Polymarket losing trust because all they actually have stake in is the bets they've place. Otherwise they'd have no interest in participating. Which is also another oversight.

I don't want to bet on religious thing like that and will choose the other bet. But I guess there is people who want to place their bet on that thing because their reason is just make money. They don't care if other people don't want to bet on that so they will do that and wait for the result.

If you think that you want to have fun, you can place your bet but it is better you hide that from others because many people don't like it. If you only use the money you can afford to lose, you are safe because you don't use too big money to bet. But I read on those comments on Polymarket and many of them finally place their bet.

This is spiritual, way beyond anyone so we can't know what will happen here, If I am forced to bet on a gun point I would bet that jesus isn't coming in 2025 because only HE knows when to come, I am not a messiah so I can't say what I don't know, unlike religious people today who lies about everything, like who is going to arrest them anyways? Wow, polymarket.com is really cool, they think of bets that are not thinking of any gambling site, this is really a rare bet and is in the spotlight of the world.

How can they think of Jesus down in 2025, thoughts that have never crossed the minds of most people.

Conclusion: If Imam Mahdi has emerged and I am sure Jesus Christ came down to coincide as stated above, meaning that if Imam Mahdi appeared in 2025, it means that Jesus Christ also appeared and vice versa.
