As an atheist, this sounds weird to me. What those spiritual healers exactly would be healing? And how that differs from psychological treatment? These people need someone to talk to, because they are burdened by their thoughts, and sometimes it just helps to talk. That doesn't need to have anything to do with spirituality.

Atheist only believes in science, which will not make you believe. But I was reading many people's posts and I noticed some come from Asia and Africa as I check their posting history, they also do not believe in it also. I just know that with God, all things are possible. But if everything someone has done is not working, then medical rehabilitation should be done.

I have seen people who have said that their addictions have been healed by their fate, even though to outsiders they are far from healed.

Gambling addiction can be healed without any medical rehabilitation if the gambler first accepted that he is addicted and know the cause of the addiction. The cause of the addiction mainly is because they are looking for money and they think they can be earning money from gambling which later become the problem. Second is to fill the gambling time with other activities.

Agree. Since addiction is mental issue, it should be handed by psychologist or mental health expert. Visiting spiritual home basically is just a supporting matter to strengthen it. If someone only relies on the spiritual factor, it is unlikely to recover the addiction. I'm a bit surprised that there are people who try to recover the addiction by praying only. In any religion, I'm sure everyone is ordered to do proper efforts to succeed in anything. Praying only isn't a proper way to recover addiction case, visiting psychologist or mental health expert is the right way. The God won't give the health if we do it in the wrong way.  

Spirituality with addiction always have different levels because peoples are having stress which bring them on level of lost their mindset then usually having consultation with psychologist and mental health works better but in different regions with them having spiritual consultation also works.
In our society currently things are going on lowest levels which are increasing problems due to domestic issues so they are having mostly consultation with spiritual peoples even mostly are not well organized and have any authority but still they are having good reputation and doing their jobs.
Gambling always creates problems its usual, but handling of these issues always had problem which needed some good work and assist from family and friends as well for me always having better psychology and mental health works much better.

There is a say "heaven helps those who help themselves" when you don't take the bold step of getting free from addiction, you will pray till infinity and there will be no positive result. An addict needs to visit a specialist to help him out of addiction and he must also be determined to stop gambling. Otherwise, all efforts will be a waste.

Basically, according to the famous exorcist, the devil acts on man on his addictions to isolate him and distance him, to divide people, the purpose is precisely to destroy the soul of man.

Is that Father from your country? if not what country is he from? Because I have already seen many stories and testimonials of priests from many countries, even countries like Germany, in which they assure demons are real and can get inside of people in order to make their life more miserable. Though, I am rather skeptical a person who is addicted to gambling can get better and ditch gambling after a single or a couple sessions of exorcism. I am not completely closed to such possibility, but it is something I would need to experiment myself in order to be completely convinced there is something more beyond brain chemistry behind addiction to gambling.
How knows, if I am proven wrong, then more than one people from this section of the forum may be in need or a exorcism with those priests specialized on it.

There are professionals who spend their time studying this, and I believe they should be the ones we should run to whenever we have a gambling problem or a friend of ours wants us to point him in the right direction. It has nothing to do with religion. In fact, there are chances that they will criticize a gambling addict because of his problem. Then, there are the gossipers.

I have not seen any case of gambling addiction seen from the angle of being spiritual motivated. It's just like other types of addiction like drugs, alcohol and others. A lot depends on a person's religiosity. If a person is truly a believer and religious, then the instructions of a spiritual mentor can help this person in the fight against the emergence of gambling addiction. But since in the modern world most people only think they are religious, it doesn't work.

Therefore, a religious leader cannot help them (or rather, they cannot help themselves due to lack of faith). As a result, there is a need for professional medical assistance. No matter how severely you become addicted to gambling, anyone can recover from it if they want to, and they never have to go to a spiritual leader for that. It is certainly important that many spiritual leaders, if you can call them that, who will make you believe in something not very normal and unrecognized by society, can probably harm some players and ordinary citizens. I think that many of these people can hypnotize people and convert them to their faith, but the main thing is not even this, but how easily a person as a player can believe in all sorts of miracles. To be honest, I don’t understand at all why some people have the idea to connect gambling addiction with spirituality. Gambling addiction, in my opinion, is a mental problem that is a consequence of many defects in worldview, or, simply put, is a manifestation of insufficient intelligence. In addition, emotional immaturity, infantilism, and lack of discipline lead to addiction. Spirituality is a little different. This is when you live with concerns that are not primarily related to material life, when your concerns are related to the desire to develop in the non-material sphere. It has nothing to do with spiritual gambling, rather when a gambler shows signs of addiction, it is only mental stress. His physical problems start to develop due to mental stress, finally he reaches a tragic stage and finally the people of his area neglect him as half crazy. One should never go to a temple or a prayer room to pray for stopping this gambling, gambling is completely prohibited in terms of religion.
