The funny thing is that many gamblers blamed everything when they made mistakes. They always find an excuse for their wrongdoing, and the sad thing is, they even include religion. Addiction is not completely related to any belief but rather is a personal choice. Indeed, it was more than that but some kind of mental problem.

I think the spiritual, call it religious association with gambling as sinful behavior is from it (gambling) being seen as a personal vice: something that stems from personal choice but is reinforced through the Devil's hand in our world, as it were.  Compare it to other vices (drugs, smoking, too much drinking etc) and you'll find similar religious ties to sinful behavior.

I have not seen any case of gambling addiction seen from the angle of being spiritual motivated. It's just like other types of addiction like drugs, alcohol and others. Hahaha, your last statement is quite funny but true, some people can be so religious that they overrate the role of religious beliefs in actual everyday life. I'm not condemning anyone from believing what they wanna believe but the fact that it gets to the point where it often results to misplaced priorities, taking unreasonable risks and expecting a miracle is just outrageous. Gambling isn't like other businesses or investment where one can pray for good fortune or something like that, it's something that is very risky and success is purely based on luck, so no matter what one believes, the main point is that it's crucial to first critically examine the risks involved in the game, so that if anything eventually goes wrong.

In what ever you say, remove churches because they are an exception here, I know that there are fake churches as a result of being managed by fake pastors and priests, it's then best we be specific when calling out churches especially when we know the ones that are indeed fake, but in a situation where we can not differentiate, it's better to let churches be..

Genuine churches don't say that can heal all sicknesses and diseases but say God can, and indeed God is more than able to heal any form of sickness and diseases, and also cause any one to be Lucky, though in Christiandom, luck is referred to as grace, favor. All this is possible with God, and that He hasn't done it for you doesn't mean it's not possible. Are you referring to some kind of ruqyah for someone who can no longer let go of their gambling addiction? Because to me that is quite strange and sometimes doesn't make sense because those who are addicted to gambling usually do so because they can't calm down their emotions so they keep trying to get back what they have lost. And that is a very difficult job so the real medicine that such a person needs is to be in a calm environment with no tools that can make them continue to access gambling sites. And one more thing is one person who is able to calm them down in order to direct them to other better things so that their mind is no longer led to gambling.

First, do you believe in spirituality? If you don't believe in spirituality, no explanation can satisfy or convince you, and vice versa. But I think you don't believe in spirituality because if you did, you wouldn't ask such a question.

I don't know if spirituality can cure gambling addiction but as a religious person and also believe in science. In my opinion, if we are sick or addicted to gambling, we should first go to the hospital or rehabilitation center for treatment. Of course gambling addiction is not spiritual. I think it's just greed on most gamblers part. Most gamblers don't know when to walk away and as a gambler you must know when to walk away whether you're on a winning steak or losing.
But the Oliver twist in some people will urge them to want more and keep going especially when they are losing to try and win back their losses which can be addicting.
