It has absolutely nothing to do with anything spiritual gambling, gambling is a serious mental health issue when it gets to addiction and honestly most of us are addicted one way or another. This can only be fought with extremely heavy self-will to not touch gambling every again. Personally I thought to give it a try after being so many months without playing and yet the same provider and their same games offer the same fate to me after so many months, I did this stupid error because of illusion that things can change yet we all should know like Einstein said, we cannot do the same things over and over again and expect different results, I think this saying from such a great mind should be kept in our devices where we gamble so we can think more than twice before starting a gambling session.

This is another way people deceive themselves. Something that's obvious that's it's a product of excessive involvement into gambling and can be cured with behavioral modification. They'll immediately attribute it to spiritual problem because they don't want to deal with the reality.

Maybe it's time people always take responsibility for a  situation rather than running away from it under the cover of spirituality. I perceive that act as living in denial.

There is a department in the physiological department of the drug law enforcement agencies, that deals with issue related to drugs addiction treatment and there I saw that gambling disorder is part of the problem that are handled also, because at some point the drug for treatment of addiction on drugs goes along well with gambling addiction also, so yeah ops medical help is the best approach to treating addictions and not spiritually.

The reason why people in your region feel so is because they term everything as been superstitious even when it is clearly not. Your people may be so religious and at the same time have this deep feelings that they’re been hunted by their own people spiritually into being addicted into gambling and not finding a way out. This all falls into how you believe and have fate in certain cases in the happenings around the world.

A person may just feel he’s bothered spiritually to the extent that they can’t find a solution to their problem naturally after maybe trying it out for sometimes and it’s not working for them, they quickly term such problem spiritual and won’t go on treating such cases the natural way but spiritually. I have not seen any case of gambling addiction seen from the angle of being spiritual motivated. It's just like other types of addiction like drugs, alcohol and others. Are you kidding me right now?  you mean people can go all out to monitor people's future just to end up pushing them to gambling? If they're relating it to a spiritual leader, they look at it as something spiritual, and they're thinking that person is possessed by something unnatural that had to be cast out.

I respect if that's what they think but, they should also look for the professionals that you have mentioned because they're what they need to have.

When someone falls into gambling and becomes addicted, many say that they have moved away from God, that is their understanding so that many people associate gambling with spiritual values. Sure, spirituality can help some people, GA even includes high-powered language, but it’s not a cure-all and it is not the root cause. Afaik Mayo Clinic recommends therapy by trained mental-health professionals, psychologists, psychiatrists, and counselors.

So yes, referrals to mental-health professionals are what work, not prayer only. Spiritual support? Maybe as a sideline, but not on the front lines.

Lol, addressing everything to spirituality is something that is very common in most parts of Africa, here in my country, it is very common to see such cases as gambling addiction victims being taken to spiritual houses for prayer and deliverance, but then, if we study this critically, we won't have any cause to blame any of this persons who would rather take a gambling addict victim to a spiritual house rather than a mental health practitioner because in this part of the world, we are made to believe that God is able to do everything, to heal every kind or type of sicknesses and disease which includes mental disorders as well.

Gambling addiction has nothing to do with spirituality it has to do with mental issue, because a gambler get addicted to gambling when he or she cannot longer control his or her gambling habit, especially when he or she start seeing gambling as investing. when a gambler start seeing gambling as investing that's when he or she we now become addicted to it.
