this should be an example for influencers and celebrities to always check the kinds of things they are paid to endorse if they do not want to get in trouble
if you are an influencer, would you promote gambling on your page?
If you're going to promote something, you need to do the bare minimum of ensuring that it is legit (not a scam) and you can promote my without any repercussions. That's something most (if not all) influencers skip. There's always zero due diligence and it's just a case of garbage in, garbage out as long as they get to receive their payments. And yes, I would if given the opportunity lol. In my case, I actually work the talk and gamble quite a bit myself.

Usually yes, but not all people think in the same way. Unfortunately, some streamers or YouTubers will promote anything no matter what, just for the sake of money. A reputable influencer who respects himself and his fans will do some research to ensure that the products or service they're advertising is legit, but a decent amount doesn't work that way. The streamer in this case might have known it himself that the casino wasn't licensed, but he might have been receiving a commission from the people signed up under him.

This is not really surprising because given the current state of gambling, streamers will obviously use this as a means for their own benefit and again they will not care whether it is legal or illegal because they will just make it a job regardless of whether their followers participate or not.
This is something that should have been anticipated from the start because after all, as someone who has followers, they certainly can't do whatever they want but on the other hand things like this are also a little difficult to contain especially when talking about money. I see that his YouTube platform has quite a lot of followers and he should be responsible for what he does but again when dealing with money then the situation will be a little different.

They often know exactly what they are doing, and money talks. This doesn't even surprise me anymore, we have many similar cases where I live.
Another problem is that many who claim to be registered may not be. How can you guarantee and verify that they really are? It's a shot in the dark to put your face in front of a brand, any mistake and your reputation will also be shaken.
Usually this information is in the footer of the website, with the license number provided you can verify if it is real on websites that provide licenses. But do you think they would waste their time doing this? All they see is the amount they will receive for the publicity!

The order stipulates a fine of €25,000 (£21,519) per violation, up to a maximum of €75,000 (£64,559.62). If the influencer fails to comply, the regulator will also approach the social media platform directly to ensure the removal of harmful content. this should be an example for influencers and celebrities to always check the kinds of things they are paid to endorse if they do not want to get in trouble if you are an influencer, would you promote gambling on your page? The money paid could have been huge for the influencer to ignore all the warnings. Once you sign a deal with a casino, there is a specific timeframe involved to get those video promotions up on the influencer’s page; otherwise, they will receive no payment or additional compensation. That’s why they are buying time; the influencer should first check if the casino can be promoted in their jurisdiction and if it falls within the country’s laws. He could lose his page and, at the same time, incur a huge fine due to his irresponsible action.

Honestly, if i'm an influencer, i don't promote gambling that is illegal or violates the regulations in the country, even though it has the potential to get a big payout, on the other hand there is a big responsibility to be faced, there is a big possibility that the influencer can be dragged into the law. So, it is important to know or find out more about the site they are going to promote, whether the platform is licensed or not, because this can harm many people if one day the site has problems such as deposits that do not enter or often withdrawals that are problematic, of course this must be realized because influencers have a big influence, what they do can have a big influence on other people's decisions.

with the rise of gambling these days, more and more celebrities and influencers are found to be promoting gambling platforms sometimes on television or sometimes on their social media platforms well this one streamer is not an exception... See news--- this should be an example for influencers and celebrities to always check the kinds of things they are paid to endorse if they do not want to get in trouble if you are an influencer, would you promote gambling on your page? Well, the platform that the influencer isn't licensed so it's quite natural that the authorities will be imposing some penalties to him, and that also applies to anywhere in the world. In our country, I don't know if all of the gambling websites the influencers are being promoted are licensed as well because the government doesn't do anything to stop these. I get it if it's licensed because as much as I want to see those poor people to stop gambling, the government gets a revenue still with these licensed platforms through their taxes which helps the country... or only the government. It's good that our government is doing something to prevent other people from getting addicted though. Now back to the topic, it's a must that these influencers must check first if the website that they're promoting has license to operate in their countries or else, it's prohibited. If I'm an influencer, I'm not promoting it. I mean imagine the amount of lives that might be destroyed just because I promoted a gambling website.

I have seen something like this on Instagram. A person from a country where gambling is illegal advertises his casino to attract customers. As a result, he is saddled with a lawsuit and a prison sentence. I am amazed at the stupidity or carelessness of such people who are not embarrassed to show themselves to the public, knowing that they are breaking the law. The actions of some people on social media are so surprising and not friendly with common sense that it no longer makes sense to trust or participate in their activities.

Well, the "influencers and celebrities" are not exempt from the obligation to comply with the laws of the country they are in. And before promoting any websites, they should check the legality of the activities of those whose services the youtubers are going to advertise. I don't know what the youtubers are guided by, because all their activities are publicly available and the slightest violation of legal norms immediately becomes known. if you are an influencer, would you promote gambling on your page?
Don't have to be "influencers and celebrities" to do this. Look at the signatures of the participants of this forum and you will find an answer to your question in almost everyone.

Tons of the streamers or content creators right now are keep doing a promotions of the casino because they are paid of it now its good if they are transparent with their users of course but in terms of contract base I don't think so they will include that into their post, now its the player negligence to make a move if they want to make a deposit or not on the game or not because at the end of the day its just a paid promotions now if the scam action taken the streamers must need to take the responsibility at the same time because they are promoting unregistered casino.

... if you are an influencer, would you promote gambling on your page? Depends on few factors. 1) Whether gambling stuff in question looks genuine. I would not promote obvious scam. 2) Law of the land. Whether the country I live in allows promoting gambling stuff — this is to save myself from scenario mentioned in op. 3) What's the pay. Whether it justifies the influence I have.

Don’t just guess, you need to verify whether they’re licensed or not. This is your channel, and you’re the one at risk here. You could even be held legally liable if you promote something illegal. There are actually a lot of well-known casinos out there that turn out to have no license. And sure, the payment they offer can be very tempting, but at the end of the day, the legal issue will always come back to whether or not they’re properly licensed.

We will see more celebrities and influencers accepting offere because simply of the amount of new gambling platforms opening up these days. Gambling is such a profitable industry nowadays that everyone wants to participate in it in all different ways. I see that his YouTube platform has quite a lot of followers and he should be responsible for what he does but again when dealing with money then the situation will be a little different.
He should understand that he is partly responsible for when his followers end up using said platform and being punished by the government for doing so.

You always have to be selective. And you always have to study what you are advertising. Unfortunately, many streamers are not very ethical and actually deceive their users. For example, they pretend to play on a gambling platform and win money there, while it is virtual money and it was provided to them by the casino. This is actually a direct deception of users, but, of course, no one is responsible for this. No one cares. There are streamers who really play with their own money, and the casino only cooperates with them as a sponsor. However, this is always a big problem. But the problem also lies in the critical thinking of users, or rather in the insufficient development of this critical thinking. However, streams are still attractive to users.

with the rise of gambling these days, more and more celebrities and influencers are found to be promoting gambling platforms sometimes on television or sometimes on their social media platforms well this one streamer is not an exception... See newsThe KSA’s investigation began after reports surfaced of LeftlanePapi, whose real name is Djade Sadloe, livestreaming and promoting gambling activities on platforms not licensed in the Netherlands, such as Skyhills.com.
The influencer’s YouTube channel, with over 53,000 subscribers, featured videos that not only showcased live gambling but also included direct links and invitations for viewers to participate, as well as access to a Dutch-language Discord channel for additional support.
As a result of non-compliance, the KSA imposed a penalty order requiring the immediate cessation of all illegal promotional activities.
This is rather an odd question to ask, anybody would promote anything which is inline with what he or she created the a social media channel for.. Like if I was an influencer and very interested in gambling myself, then why not? I would promote gambling and casinos on my page so long as they pay me for it, the right question should be, are we going to accept offers even from unregistered casinos? And to answer the question, I would say that it depends on the country where the influencer lives, like If I myself was an influencer and live here in my country, I don't mind accepting marketing offers from unregistered casinos because the government of this country careless about things like this, so long as the casino is not a scam, they can be marketed. This is not to encourage any one to get into what is bad anyway.

Yes, if I were a famous actor, musician or writer, I would advertise online casino sites. It is a very good way to earn money. At the same time, of course, I would not break the law, so as not to get a fine. Online casinos are the same commercial activity as any other. People have been gambling since ancient times. Perhaps, people have a need to periodically engage in single combat with Chaos and Destiny. At the same time, the story of this streamer shows that you need to be very careful about the object you are advertising. Now this streamer is forced to pay large fines. After which this streamer will again have to somehow earn money. Perhaps he will start advertising some organization again. And if he continues to ignore the requirements of the law, he will be fined again for some offense. In my opinion, it is advisable to initially take reasonable and thoughtful actions.

They must do this more. I mean, every government should be doing this.
There are so many influencers and streamers out there who are promoting illegal or scammy online casinos, and they are getting away with a fine or a penalty because the government is not focusing on this type of crime. Little do they know, a lot of gamblers are becoming victims of those scheming online casinos that are not made to last long. They take money and then run away, or they will let gamblers deposit but will not even let them withdraw, even after the KYC is fulfilled.

this should be an example for influencers and celebrities to always check the kinds of things they are paid to endorse if they do not want to get in trouble
We are talking about a relatively small influencer, does not even have one hundred thousand followers on YouTube, so it seems logical he is going to be approached by small casinos and bookies which may not be registered, instead of a big casino/bookie with and already established reputation on the internet, the latter ones always go with influencers with millions of subscribers, instead of those who have less than one hundred thousand of people watching their videos. Anyways, it was a mistake by that person not to ask the casino about their legal status or research themselves before accepting and signing an advertisement contract with them, ironically, now most of the money he got from his contract could end up in the hands of regulators because of the fine being imposed.

Seriously? Would you do that knowing that bigger influencer you were, higher change you would have for legal consequences and change to get your social media accounts banned when they turn out to be huge scams? And you knowingly advertised them, even when they were unregulated. There's a change to make money legal ways as an influencer that doesn't destroy your online presence, which would be something you should take care of in order to keep milking money out of it. And it's not the country of the casino you should be worried about. If they are offering services to your fellow citizens and it would clash with your country's regulations, you might face charges for pushing those links.

Its a big opportunity to receive a huge pay from a casino that is trying also to get more users from the citizen. However if the government of the country will suddenly looks into these unregulated online casinos then, he might just be called out to explain. I bet he will not be the only one who would be doing it, I've seen several celebrities doing it in my country. No one bats an eye about it. Its interestingly disgusting to see governments today are regulating crypto casinos but not the fiat base online casinos that are not registered actually.
