Here are some important qualities that every entrepreneur should look out for and must possess if they are to be successful.

All qualities mentioned above, are all important for an entrepreneur but to me the most important of them all an entrepreneur should look at for before embarking on that business is embracing failure.

As an entrepreneur before starting any business you should be prepared to embrace failure and also not to give up too quick. There are so many challenges and failure that comes with starting a business as well as risks also. Do not be too quick to conclude or close that business because of challenges and you just feel you can’t do it or is not just working for you. There are some business that will take just a month to boom, some 3 months, while some even 6-7months, that’s why it’s always good to have good knowledge of a business before starting it. For example someone that wants to go into a real estate business must be very prepared to embrace failure because you don’t expect to already start having much sales between 1-3 months at that early stage, it usually one step at a time. I will say patience covers it all, be patient enough to grow that business or else you will end up shutting it down.

Another attribute an entrepreneur should possess is integrity. Trust is very important in business. When a business has customers who trusts them, them your business growth will be easy. Those are some good qualities and an entrepreneur definitely has to be flexible in their skill set, but you don't necessarily need all of the qualities that you've stated. Take networking for example, sure - you should be able to communicate well but many people have navigated to a profitable business without necessarily needing to rely too much on others, at least when the business is an operation that one man can handle. Some qualities like optimism are essential though, because it can often be very scary and you have to navigate certain stress by yourself but it can help to build your character over time. Things like good money management skills and a keen eye on where to make the biggest impact with limited funds are also very important to make your sure your business survives but also has a growth trajectory.

Experiencing slow progress is one common thing in business that is inevitable, but once ability to re-strategize and come up with a lasting solution to the constant poor market follow is the difference that exist among entrepreneurs. One of the causes of business failure is a lack of knowledge, skills, and preparation about the business. I sometimes think it happens because they start a business just to fulfill their desires, so they don't prepare thoroughly.

And managing it is not easy, as you said, one of the things you have to do is be able to attract and retain customers so that they remain loyal. That is one way to keep a business running.
