The world is developing, so along with the development of technology, the percentage of people in the world who are employed is also decreasing. Nowadays, many people are not getting jobs even after obtaining the highest degree from the university. This is really a sad fact because in various big companies, AI or robots are doing various jobs. Moreover, I think that the people of the current generation prefer to avoid working in other companies, they learn various types of work on online platforms and work there to improve their lives. However, I think that those who are currently in the world must study from school and later they have to gradually increase their knowledge. However, I think there are some people who have become successful in business without studying, but it is better to start a business after studying. Every person is skilled and if they are educated, they have spiritual knowledge. According to the way students are given knowledge on various subjects in schools and universities, they can manage their lives and they can be more successful.
In today's era, university education is given great importance because university education is considered a higher education, after completing which a person can work in a good position, but nowadays sometimes people do not get a job even after a university degree, so they should start online jobs along with education. It is also difficult to get a job today because the current era is the era of computers, due to which we have to face some difficulties, but through university education we can give people a sense of education by obtaining degrees in different subjects, so we should get a university degree that can be useful for us tomorrow.

Has anyone else noticed that these days, having a university degree does not seem to guarantee a good job anymore? In the US, more than 40% of new graduates are working in jobs that don’t even need a degree! In the UK and Canada, youth unemployment is even higher, and entry-level jobs are much harder to get. Now, for each job, there are more than 100 people applying
A lot of people blame technology (especially AI, robots and automation) for stealing jobs. But the truth is more complicated. Companies are using AI to get rid of simple tasks, yes, but they’re also sending jobs to cheaper countries. And when there are jobs, many companies do not care about your university name anymore. They want to see if you really have the skills or special training for that job. That means people have to pay even more to get extra “certificates” after graduating
Meanwhile, graduates are stuck with debt and stress. Many young people feel lost, frustrated, and even angry, like society promised them something it can’t deliver. In the past, too many frustrated young people has led to big changes. Sometimes for the better, sometimes not. Do you think the old way of working (one job, one company, climbing step by step) is over? Now, I see many young people having several jobs, working on short projects, or even starting small businesses on the side. In a recent report, more than half of workers noticed more people working two or more jobs
Is university still worth it today? Are “extra skills” and certificates just another money-making trick? Has anyone here found success without a degree, or by learning something new outside of school? Is this the start of a new way of working, or just a big mess?
I'm not ready to say that a diploma is synonymous with a guaranteed job and a happy life, but under certain conditions, it can be a really useful piece of paper - Field of education. If you have become a specialist in a field that is just developing and has great prospects for the future, that's a plus for success. - If you studied, absorbed, and systematized KNOWLEDGE - another + towards success - If, after graduating from an educational institution, you have a basic job where you can start using your knowledge and developing it - + towards success - If all of the above is true and you also like this field - that's great!

It is still relevant today and for me, it is still an edge over your competitors for the same job that you are applying for. But it doesn't mean, it is the ultimate reference for you to become successful in life. It is just a tool that you can use to possibly uplift your economic status. But for others, resilience and strategies will be another angle that you can use to improve your economic life conditions. So for me, university education can help but it is not the absolute way for you to make good in life.

Yep, a university degree still matters, especially in professions that cannot exist without formal education, like medicine, law, and other regulated fields where certification and good training are compulsory..
While the other professions can be done with a hustle and learn from it. There are just some examples of these degrees that people still need to take when they're aiming for some specific professions. Like in the premed and other professional degrees that requires studies, like what you've said it's regulated and there's a need for requisites for it to be done. The training and certifications are required but then, a graduate studies from universities is the usual requirement for it. Yes, law, medical, and few others are still requiring you to have something like this and do not really need anything else, that's the most important part. I think it's clear that we are not going to see things change all that much with the way it's moving at the moment because all other places are changing jobs. I watched a video recently, top graduates from "philosophy" majors ended up meeting again 5 years later, some were doing influencer marketing, some were doing purchasing for a company, some were doing software engineering which made me shock, but I guess they learned it afterwards, basically how could "philosophy" major do anything? Either you stay in the academia, or you just do something else.

Both are right, there are companies that don't care of what degree you've finished but they value more what that employee can contribute to the company whether they're finished in their college studies or not. As long as they can make the company more money and they can solve problems that's in the organization, that's how valuable they are. But don't also forget that degrees could also be helpful once you're hired, there are company policies that only allows promotions for those who are finished.

I guess we can't really tell what will be the jobs that suits our degrees and if it's still going to be related to what we've studied or not. And as for philosophy, it's a career that's really for those who are curious with things related to it. While jobs can be lesser from that major but you're right that if someone wants to pursue that, they're likely to stay in the academy and teach what they've learned from it.

Realistically, in my country, college degree still important because mostly all company especially government institution using college degree as basic requirement, not because its represent our competence but its tools for faster candidate filtering. Society still see college degree as symbol of status, achievement, credibility and eligibility. For some profession college degree is top priority requirement due to quality control and public safety sucah as doctor, nurse, pharmacist, lecture, teacher and engeneering. But i see that trending today, college degree is not relevan in many areas of profession such as IT, data analyst, design, marketing, business and entrepreneurship, consultant, because mostly job provider use portofolio, project experiences and digital track record to assess technical skill, communication and problem solving skill, competence certification. As job seeker young generation must be adapt faster with this circumstance. So my conclusion college degree still needed but actually it can not proove our our quality even our capability. The job market requires proove of your capabilities and qualities. So always update and upgrade your skill, mentality, adaptation level and the more value job seeker offering the better and bigger possibility they will get.

Has anyone here found success without a degree, or by learning something new outside of school? Is this the start of a new way of working, or just a big mess? All this reminded me how intense academic pressure gets when you’re juggling deadlines, exams, and endless coursework at university. As a student, sometimes it feels like every lesson piles up faster than you can even organize your notes in the library, and teachers just keep assigning more projects like it’s nothing. I’ve seen classmates burn out before they even graduate because managing college work alone can get overwhelming, especially when research standards keep getting stricter every semester. That’s why I actually like platforms that make studying less chaotic, and honestly https://mysupergeek.co/mysupergeek services like this feel like having a reliable tutor who actually understands how real students struggle and helps you stay on track without drama. It’s way easier to focus on learning when you’ve got structured guidance, clearer explanations, and someone who gets what modern school pressure is really like. What matters more is that adoption keeps grinding forward in the background while price just reacts to liquidity and macro noise. Short term it’s always messy, but zooming out the structure hasn’t really changed much.

I have checked vacant positions for sector I am working in, and some positions from financial sector, and mostly employers were looking for experienced person, with selected skills, understanding pricing and market. Only in some positions it was mentioned that if I have a degree in related field, I would fit. They dont focus on bringing diploma and grades I got in school. Instead of degree, employer expect that I would learn fast. This makes me think that having degree is good, but it isnt a must today.

Examining job postings actually gives us a lot of information on the subject. Every sector or job may have different requirements, sometimes requiring a diploma, sometimes knowledge and experience. The biggest factor in determining these is being able to select the people who will do the job best. Finding the best person for the job may require a diploma in some sectors, while it may not be necessary in others. In fact, people's career preferences are also a determining factor here. The necessity of a diploma can be the same in many places depending on the profession. While some professions are impossible to do without a diploma, others may require other skills instead.

A university degree by itself no longer guarantees a good job or an easy life. The job market has changed drastically and employers care more about productive skills and what you can actually do, not just the paper you hold. but a degree can still be useful if it is in the right field, if you truly learned something valuable and if you use it as a foundation to build skills and experience. I agree that everyone wants a ready-made specialist, but everyone understands perfectly well that this is not possible. A diploma, knowledge, and the desire to become a specialist will turn yesterday's student into a sought-after specialist for the market in a few years of hard work. Smart companies often “grow” their talent pool by selecting good graduates from universities, giving them the opportunity to gain practical experience and adapt it to the needs of the company. And yes, it would be foolish to deny that having opportunities for employment (acquaintances, relatives, friends) speeds up the process.

A degree is no longer a assured tickets to success but it was never meant to be thinking are some the university can just give to person it only helps in building a foundation of knowledge networking opportunities and also credibility in certain fields. But a university degree doesn't guarantee a job after someone graduate, we all know now that value is created by what you can do_ not just the certificate your holding.

Firstly, education doesn't guarantee you a job. Education may give degree but only degree doesn't make you qualify for job. Afterall, getting degree can be manipulated in some case and this is why education isn't the true test for knowledge.

That is why I have said that I have looked through what is necessary for candidate that apply for a job in my, financial sector. Diploma is an advantage when you apply, but candidate will be evaluated by his performance during working test period, not by providing diploma, literacies from competitions or school marks. Nevertheless, when a person comes for an interview, I rarely see he brings any documents with him. HR specialist after test and interview decide if person suits us or not. I think that is the trick. As you can apply for university, learn for few years and get overall knowledge, dont graduate, and still have quite identical chances to get a job as a person with diploma.

The exposure university gives you is one which you may not get just working, it also goes further to lay foundations for you to be able to approach things better and even communicate better but skills is very important because if you can communicate and approach things better and lack the skills for delivery, you are inefficient same applies the other way round. If you have the opportunity to, get a university degree and a certification, a skill and make sure not to stop at one so you better increase your chances with jobs and other areas of earnings.

Nowadays, having a skill pay off more than the University degree, things has really changed, going to university is very good when it comes to expanding your knowledge on a skill or your field of study. Most employees now prefer/considers skilled persons than those with university degeee.

Many YouTubers are earning are creating content against the degrees and universities white not good because I saw many people who are from very poor background and their parents are uneducated and they know nothing and they gave education to their child and they are educated and they can do every kind of job which they dreamt and parents want them to do job in big company. I think most of the people in our society want respect as comparison to Money and we know many people who have money but they have no respect. People are giving respect due to their authority and I think degrees matters a lot when you want to become a government officers and government need able person to control the government.

Going to school and getting a good grade is important to but that will not make you to be the person you ought to become tomorrow without the certificate. There are so many millionaires that could not go to school at first and many people had dropped out of school just because they want to help themselves become successful in life by creating their business. Most graduate should not have this feeling of entitlement because they have the certification and others may not have gotten the opportunity to get one for themselves.
