Everything we purchased with euro, instead of buying Bitcoin coated us millions because we could have bought bitcoins instead.

Unfortunately, I was in the exact same situation as you, unfortunately I discovered Bitcoin after. He was the first, which means that over 7 billion people were doing different things than Laszlo and were not trying to buy with Bitcoin.

I believe we can not do it. laszlo can come back and disappear again without making any post, nobody in the forum can make any pressure enough to force him posting anything. Depends on his reason of the return, he will make posts or not.

Like in many years, he has been still alive and but has not answered any more questions in real life and if he can do it in real life, he can do similarly in the forum.

If he actually returns, it's good for the forum and Bitcoin community as at least we know that one of Bitcoin legends is still here with us.

There is nothing wrong If he wakes up from a long sleep of inactivenes. And there is no point red raging him without hearing from him. Atleast he should make some post and people will have some conversation with him to confirm his true identity. If it's a hacked account I guess his approach wil eventually tell who really he is. From hense he can be tagged, and warning will be given or distributed to the community to stay clear from him simply because it's n imposter/ scammer. But if he is who we think then we can oncover a lot useful information from him.

It is not known what he has come to do, but the way he is being talked about, he may not do anything here and may fail, and for that reason we will not be able to know what his real purpose is and what is preventing him from working.

2010 tech was not that easy for me to reach. I used to play only chess and played all day long mobile games on Symbian. Internet was very limited , only used to download games and reading newspaper. I wonder if I even bought bitcoin that times with my lunch money savings how much that would be end up. Haha not bad  was that time . Everyone wishing to go back and turning the time back.

But lot's of peoples were there bought BTC and sold even 5/6x still they are not happy right now this moment. Well no one could ever predict the near future. Even a solid 5x would be a great deal. That was the whole reason Laszlo traded his Bitcoin.

I don’t think laszlo sold for monetary profit. I am not sure, but maybe 10,000 bitcoin for 40 USD could have been barely the cost of producing those bitcoin accounting for hardware and electricity.

I think the forum adminstrators already took a look at it. Even they did not at beginning, after this topic was created for a while, perhaps they already did extra check on this account and its recovery process weeks ago.

Satoshi Nakamoto warned that Bitcoin users should never delete wallets they used and I think laszlo knew this reminder too.

If he has no intention to keep his past wallets, he can delete them or he just lose them somehow and I don't think it is too serious. If those past wallets are empty, he can lose them somehow or delete them by himself even there is chance of someone will continue to donate him bitcoins.

Sigh... why delete a wallet instead of moving it aside and keeping the old copy just in case?  You should never delete a wallet.

There maybe need to keep google eyes on the profile. That's if after scrutinization and nothing was phishing because I see how difficult it's going to be to get this resorted since the user never made a single post to evaluate from there if it was the real Laszlo or kinda intruder that got accessed to the account.
Worse to it that the forum doesn't support Kyc that the admin would request for a rollover to confirm who's behind the scene.

Most users haven't been too concious with their Wallet address security keys at when they were beginners. So misplaced their private keys leaving them no accessibility to the wallets any longer. So, we don't expect to keep such wallets any longer as it'd be subject to waste of time or risks of we tend to use them further.
So it's important for a donor to also check on the wallets activities to know if the wallet is still currently actively in used before proceeding on the donation otherwise the fund becomes a dust to the wallet because he probably might have trashed those old wallets.

Yes you are right and I did checked his profile there was no post made after the password and email was changed.
Don't you think if is  Laszlo he wouldn't hesitate to sign a message to prove his welcome back to the forum, but what still keep everyone muted is that he hasn't posted yet, maybe when he post and from his posting pattern then it would attract people to ask him to come sign a message from his previous address associated with the forum.

When someone learns about Bitcoin, that is the best time for them to buy Bitcoin. Because the longer it goes on, the more expensive Bitcoin will be. With a limited supply, the price of Bitcoin will never stop. Although the world has a population of 8.2 billion, the max supply of Bitcoin is only 21 million. Even if the population increases, the supply of Bitcoin will never exceed 21 million. So as long as the demand for Bitcoin increases, its price will continue to increase. Although Laszlo could buy two pizzas with 10,000 Bitcoins at that time, now it is possible to make a band of 10,000 pizzas with that amount of Bitcoin, and in the future it may be worth creating a brand of 10,000 pizzas with 1 Bitcoin, which is not impossible. So it is wise to buy Bitcoin as soon as possible and hold it.

I like your little inspiration. Obviously, it won't be possible to get Bitcoin back to the 2010 price! That time is long gone; we now have a different event horizon. Buying today isn't a bad choice! It's the only thing that really matters now! Buy and hodl. We should never give too much weight to the value of Bitcoin today but to what it will be tomorrow!

No. What do you think of someone who had tens of thousands of bitcoins in 2010 but:

At the very least to me it says he was someone who didn't believe in the future of bitcoin.

I read this and though it did make some sense, there is also another way to look at it. Maybe he did and maybe he didn’t but, he actually did actively transact with Bitcoin as a currency which is one of the core purpose or use of Bitcoin. Perhaps he didn’t see what those Bitcoins would be worth in today and frankly, many from his time didn’t and even a lot of us in today wouldn’t have.
Some just didn’t know what to do with it at the time while others later leveraged on its gradual ascent in price to see how far it gets.

Even in today, there are a few users that are actively looking for means to exchange Bitcoin for products and in a decade or two decades, we all know it’s going to be worth even more, the values they use in exchange for products in today. That doesn’t mean they don’t believe in the Bitcoin idea, they simply had an immediate need to try it out.

It’s just different in today because we know better and building portfolio is now a thing.

You were playing Video games in 2010 and I were playing those video games in 2008-2009 but for studies I've to give up on those games and that was my mistake. Because the video games I were playing were online video games where I had some good friends, and if I were not to move for my studies then I would also be in Bitcoin during 2010. However, that time is gone and we can't do anything than regretting, but of course we can still Buy Bitcoin and over next 10 to 15 years we might get 2x to 10x return.
