Most of the posts I have come across here in the gambling section has always centered on negativity about gambling. If it's not about gambling making someone go broke, it will be about one negativity or the other. Sometimes reading the comments in those posts scares me, because of how some people describe their horrifying gambling experiences. This made me to come up with this post to ask this important question; Is gambling really that bad? Are there no good effects of gambling on people? Gambling can't just be all bad all the time. Well if you think it's all bad, why are you still gambling?

Gambling is not all bad, it has its good side, the only problem that makes people sees and feels gambling is just all bad is because of the way we gamblers gambles and present ourselves to our people, how can you gamble withe the money meant for your family monthly expenses and keep your family in hunger and unkept because you are a gamble and not meeting your responsibilities any more, borrowing from one place to another and at the end of the day becomes an addict and liability to their families.

If a gambler's purpose changes to anything else, they will most likely develop an addiction and become careless with the money they bring into any casino, which will ultimately result in losses. It is really preferable to treat gambling as pure entertainment.

If you come to the casino in order to make an additional profit, then after losing your money you will only have negative memories from the game. But if you had a goal to have fun with your friends, then regardless of the outcome of the game, you will get positive emotions.

Good point, but I don't really think that you would have negative memories after losing if you staked an amount of money that you can afford to lose. There is nothing wrong in chasing profits but when this is done irresponsibly that's when it actually becomes a problem. I have never for once lost an affordable amount and ended up having bad memories even when it turned out to be a near miss.

well this matter of gambling being bad all the time is just as a result of multiple people having the same issue of loses all the time instead of wining. of course anyone in their shoes will do the same or likewise. i myself has expirience more loses over win. to me they are not far from the truth because house edge does not allow people to win that much compared to loses. loses are in higher rate but the truth is that people do win big and talks good about gambling but it is rear to here people profess good about gambling. and sometimes the win people get are being used up to gamble again because of greed.

Sometimes ago I was in dear need of money up around $120 in my local currency, and for that time I only have around $37 iny possession, only two options are open and left for me, 1: is to ask for a loan from my bank to cover up my $120 expenses
2: is to gamble with the money not the entire money at least $20 out of my available funds that time, I took that risk and in the end I was lucky to win a bet of multiple tickets that accumulated around 10 odds in total and that winning cover up for all my financial needs at that time. So gambling is helpful and good to me in that regards, gambling is doesn't have any bad side  for me but we need to do everything within a set limits that draw back from over doing things that can lead to loaes for us.

Gambling can still have positive aspects if the player knows how to maintain self-control while playing and if their main goal is to pass the time or amuse themselves.
However, aside from that, I am positive that they will ultimately give in to greed or addiction.
