OP you're not keeping anything safe if you had to lose to get a rebate. They're just a way to get people to keep gambling and maybe lose more to the casino. I'm not against rebates but it is what it is.

It’s kinda like minimizing your losses  but at the end of the day, you’re still losing. But if you’re a regular gambler and actually enjoy spending money on gambling, it might help a bit since you feel like you’re at least getting something back.

Actually not tricking us to go after losses, it's their way of retaining their losing players instead of walking away just like you said it gives you more chance to win back rather than walking away without chance.
