Honestly, I feel pressured and cornered by this issue.

So, here's my argument:

First, we negotiated a price, and the agreed-upon price was $10 to run the contest.

When I joined, he seemed open to it .

Then, when I asked about withdrawals, Dragonslot said it required a 40x wager to withdraw rewards. The next day, he changed it and announced it in the contest thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5416878.msg65592295#msg65592295 (which I accepted).

Then, the problem started again.

Suddenly, the rules changed again, requiring new participants to enter a contest code to qualify. This obviously prompted me to write a large post in the contest thread, but he said I messed up.

I wanted to warn people not to let their work go to waste but he tried hard to stop me from doing it.

Opening multiple topics for this same issue is not really necessary because one thread would have served the purpose. I think the main issue here was clear communication which was missing. Assuming the communication was clear and understood from the beginning like the wagering requirement and every other rules of the contest, it would have been up to you to either accept the job or reject it. I don't want to blame anyone as this is an unfortunate situation.

Is it ethical no matter the situation for the manager to join in a contest they are hosting? Even if given permission, should they have even thought about joining?

Back when I was running giveaways for Rollin (around 2016), I was often encouraged to join myself. I'm not sure if I did sometimes, but I do remember I said I don't like conflicts of interests. I tried to find evidence of it but couldn't confirm it. Either way, if you're not in the jury and can't influence the outcome, I'd say it's one of those "not great, not terrible" situations.

Is it ethical to message another managers clients trying to steal them with cheaper rates?

It depends I think competition isn't necessarily a bad thing. Counter question: is it ethical to charge your client too much and discourage competitors from trying to offer their services at a lower rate? I wouldn't want to be the cheapest anyway, I'd want to offer the best services. Competing on rates is just a race to the bottom. There's always someone in a low-income country that can do anything online for less money.

Rules shouldn't really be changed once contest starts!!

It's hard to predict all possible scenarios, so if something unexpected happens, it might be necessary to change things. I have not tagged you myself because it does look like you were allowed to join the contest and there was no rule against it, as well as you were not choosing the winner.

From what i understand contest are way of promotions and sometimes to get eligible you need to use a particular code to register your entry, or being asked that only accounts registered on or before  the contest starts.

What i noticed in this situation is that, you and the client never hard a good communication and you never asked for the term's of the contest for participants.

We have various contest in this forum, and most that are sponsored by casinos it rewards always come with wagering requirement, no good marketing manager will ask a casino to give no wagering bonuses, that means you want to open them up for abuses, i see you ask the client to give a no wagering contest prizes.

All what i said is interpreted from the evidence you posted, and from your chat with the client, you never ask for ruless for participants unless except tge one that was posted in the contest thread here in the forum, that was another red flag as a manager.

Funny, how the rise keeps complicating and exposing himself in his quest to covering up his lapses.
