I see more and more people (including me and my friends) wondering: Is all the money worth anything when you are tired, stressed, or anxious about the future? In others, youths are unable to secure decent employment and resort to crypto to stay alive, such as in Nigeria. In Guyana, new oil money is helping some, but only if it is managed well
My country is experiencing similar problems, and the difficulty of finding employment has led more and more young people to invest in crypto and trade. I don't know if that's true or false, as I don't have much money yet. But stress, fatigue, and anxiety are always present in certain situations. But most people say that wealth can help us achieve happiness, so that when we're tired and stressed, we can take a vacation to enjoy a new atmosphere. People are busy pursuing wealth and sometimes neglect their families because the demands of life today. Without money, we can't do anything or buy the things we want.

What being rich means is a constantly changing goal because of the central banks. Thirty to forty years ago or longer becoming a millionaire was a big thing and would be a milestone that says you have made it. Now being a millionaire is nothing. Nobody back then could have imagined that life would become so expensive even if you owned your own house or apartment. Now to be rich you need both assets that lower your living costs but also assets that generate money for you passively. To make it worse now this is not even guaranteed to give you freedom. You must try to grow the passive income or the rising cost of living will eventually catch up and force you back to work. For me, being rich means having freedom like being able to do what you want, enjoy time with your family and not stress about money.
According to you many poor people are actually rich. Plenty of them don't stress about money even if they should, but they only do when a big emergency wakes them up. If we all redefine words to suit our own stories we won't get anywhere. This is not what being rich means. So I ask you: - Has your life changed with the "growth" of your country? - Do you feel more secure, or less? - If you could choose, would you want more money, more time, or more trust in people?
- Absolutely not. As i live in a developing country, economic growth means less national dept and less national expanses. It did never mean more investments or less joblesssness. - When you are in a developing country ruled by corruption politicians and beauraucracy, either you are entrepreneur or employee, you can never feel secure. - More time for myself and my family + as much money to secure my family. All Western countries are very corrupt so it is not a problem of developing countries at all, but it is currently a problem of all countries. Politicians in the developed countries are just more educated and skilled in hiding corruption through legal infrastructure. That's the only real difference. Something like I help you get that big deal and soon after someone's stupid wife gets a executive job at a relatively big NGO.

The growth of my country, if there is, is hardly felt. There's growth in myself and the family, but it's not because of the country's economic performance. If at all, the government is racing hard to cancel whatever progress you're making. Taxes upon taxes are imposed on everything.
In all fairness, of course, there are newly-built concrete roads, bridges, and whatnot, but they don't necessarily reflect the growth of the country. They're mainly built out of loans and taxes. Everybody, born and not yet born, will pay for it.
I feel more secure today, but it's mainly because of the fruits of my labor, luck, or perhaps good graces from somebody up there.
If I were to choose between money, time, and trust, it's probably trust. But since we don't exist in a vacuum, it's probably money. We don't have to trust anybody, anyway. And what's time when you're suffering? But, of course, hitting a more or less perfect balance is the key, or the goal. In all honesty, Bitcoin has contributed so much to the kind of balance I'm experiencing right now.

There's this saying that money can't buy you happiness but it can at least buy you something. . Scrap that talk mate. That saying is dead In recent times, only money can buy you happiness. It can buy everything you want except life. To live a comfortable life in this generation cost a lot, and I mean not too extravagant life, yet it really cost a lot. For someone that doesn't want much but just a comfortable lifestyle of contentment, they defined being rich as to be able to provide for every little need they want, such as owning a house, getting married, being able to provide for their wife, their kids and then retire with some savings or investment that can take care of them and their wife till they pass on.
I am so disappointed to hear this. Getting married, providing basic needs for family, and owning your house and car should be a regular thing for people who have a decent job, civil servants specifically. Look how everything changes including mentality. Fvck!

I used to think being rich was simple: big salary, nice car, maybe some Bitcoin. But as I grow up, I am not sure anymore
In some countries, the numbers are enormous (such as Singapore, Switzerland), and yet everyday life is stressful: long working hours, high rent, and a lack of free time. Meanwhile, other countries such as Norway and Germany are working on making life easier to ordinary citizens: less work, more leisure time, healthier, more trust
I see more and more people (including me and my friends) wondering: Is all the money worth anything when you are tired, stressed, or anxious about the future? In others, youths are unable to secure decent employment and resort to crypto to stay alive, such as in Nigeria. In Guyana, new oil money is helping some, but only if it is managed well
So I ask you: - Has your life changed with the "growth" of your country? - Do you feel more secure, or less? - If you could choose, would you want more money, more time, or more trust in people?
In my opinion, being rich depends on what makes a person happy. And I think there are several types of wealth. The first is financial wealth, which means that a person can buy anything with their money. But sometimes they are busier than ordinary people because they have too many business matters to deal with. So they are financially rich but poor in terms of time. The second is emotional and time-related wealth. This is where someone lives simply with a job that doesn’t take up much time, but they have an income that can sustain their life, and they feel grateful and happy with what they have. They have time for family, they still have time to relax, and so on. Essentially, they are financially simple but have time and emotional wealth. However, I believe that truly wealthy people are those who truly value life, those who are happy with their lives, or as we might say, those who are grateful for what they already have.

If you could choose, would you want more money, more time, or more trust in people?
I would pick to have more time and trust in people. Rich is subjective to every person. One defines rich when he have huge enough of money and on who is contented and happy with his life. I belong to the second group. I am not rich but I can say that I am happy with my current state of life. I am able to live comfortably, sleep peacefully, and able to travel at certain occasions like holiday or birthday. Wanting to have more money means bigger responsibility. There are rich people who can already do anything with the wealth they got but still are not happy. Whether you're rich or not, the important here is you learn to appreciate what you have how big or small it is.

I also think these are a wise choice, but the wisest one would be to trust in the people. If you're a reputable guy and people believe and trust you, you've got a lot of connections that will also your advantage in getting more opportunities, which will also give you more freedom wherever you go. Anyway, being free and being trusted and to have trust in the people that you know are great combinations. We have to feel it that way so that our lives are still us and not owned by the employers that we're working for. Because there are cases that their freedom through time and trust are being controlled and they cannot retain their lives and only programmed to work forever. But realizing that will complete redeem our lives to find our purpose and understand what success and being rich really means.

Why do you confuse between rich and balance?
I don't see anything wrong with your first sentence, it was true rich people have big salary, nice car and some Bitcoin. They can only own that if they have money, they can't buy it by just being healthy and have a lot free time.
Not all rich people can have a balance because they're not born from rich parents and they're not women, so they can only rely on themselves to make money, hence they have a tight schedule.

My country just makes my life more miserable than it should be LOL. - Do you feel more secure, or less?
Well, something in between, that could be said to be secure and not secure at the same time. - If you could choose, would you want more money, more time, or more trust in people?
I would choose more money. Maybe others would say they would prefer more time, but I'm just being realistic, these days everything costs money. It's true that having a lot of money means you have to sacrifice time with your children, but I'd rather be hated by my children for not having enough time with them, than not being able to provide them with a decent education and life. It's that simple.

People favoring trust in a forum that is dedicated to Bitcoin which is something that has been made to remove reliance on trust? That is not a good thing. It is evident that people who want to trust more have limited real world experience especially in Business. I will repeat this one time, do not trust people. Especially don't trust people who have not proven themselves for a long time. If you have not been very lucky in business, you will see that everyone is trying to cheat in one way or another. This is why big companies make very long contracts with many penalties, it is because you can not trust the other side to honor the deal even if it is a reputable company. Be careful.

Being rich is all about being free, it has nothing to do with a big salary...The reason why I'm saying this is because ole even though you think you are earning a big salary you are not free still.. being rich means doing what you want and getting what you want at your own time and comfort...if you have to work under someone to get paid then you are not financially free yet, no matter how high you think that income is there's a limit it can't cross

Generally, "rich" is defined as having a lot of money and living a luxurious life. However, for me, being rich means feeling financially secure and at peace, being able to live worry-free, debt-free, and having enough income to meet all my needs and pay my bills.
I feel that with all of the above, I am already rich, happy, and free, living a life filled with gratitude without the burdens, fears, worries, and anxieties that come with having a lot of money and a job.

I think being rich is when you can get what you want at anytime and also have time to spend with your family. When you are rich your money works for you and you get the profit and also get them to spend with your family , but if you being rich giving you less time with your family then you are going to have issues, probably you are still working for someone and don't have time to spend with your family or even go on vacations. I believe everyone wants to get rich and also get time to spend with their family, and you can only do that when you have your own investment rather than working for someone else. The goal is to be your own boss, so you can have time for your family and also being able to afford whatever you need without stress.

Having big salary? I think that was never something to consider being rich in today’s economy. Everything in this era has totally change because of how the whole world have change even the meaning of being rich, high rent, high rate of taxes, inflation and lot more are the factors that determines being rich in today’s world. In today’s world being rich means you own a house, being able to pay taxes without affecting ur wellbeing budget, and having freedom. Having alot of money doesn’t matter in today’s world, if u don’t have freedom and if you can’t make the money work for you.

In Guyana, new oil money is helping some, but only if it is managed well
Having big salary? I think that was never something to consider being rich in today’s economy. This is not being rich you are right. There was a golden time where getting a 7 figure salary was considered the dream and you have permanently made it. These days no salary except extremely top earners guarantee you anything and it does not make you rich.
The world is sure messed up and took a turn for the worse in many ways.

Everyone has different standards, and there's nothing wrong with what you said: someone feels rich if they have everything fulfilled without the need for luxury. However, for some people wealth is about luxury. Usually, the standard of wealth continues to rise after we achieve something. That's just how humans are, and I don't deny that, because I've been in a position where the desire for more always arises when I get something. And being rich is simply about satisfying our desires. That's what really happens when we achieve what we desire. I don't think there's anything else, and we can live by any standard, even if we don't want it.

Well for me I do think if someone is 'rich' it means he can spend alot of money and not worry about it. If he can spend his money on things we do not need like luxury items then he is rich. If a person does have a very big income it can make them a rich person. And if a person foes make so much money they can give it away at any time he wants well then I think this does make them 'rich'.

There are a lot of things that Rich could imply, but the initial thought of people hearing that is that they have "money". It could depend on the person as well because you could be rich about anything, so it's more like how it's about "being abundant" to a sure thing, and that could be money or trust in people.
I believe it's the quality of life that is changing when there's growth in the country, and that is determined by how happy the people are, IMO. There are reasons why they are so glad, and one of them could be that it's more balanced. It varies significantly, and it's challenging to quantify precisely.
If you have a good quality of life, you would feel more secure in your life. However, it's a different ball game when it comes to money or trust, as these factors also affect how the money was earned. It's a hard life.

There is a certain amount of truth in this, but nevertheless it is better to be rich, albeit with constant stress (from fear of losing wealth), than to be poor with exactly the same stress (from lack of money for everything). However, if a person has enough money for his existence (without frills and luxuries), that is, he is neither rich nor poor, then such a person can be satisfied with his life. Unless he is overcome by greed or envy for greater wealth. But modern society is built in such a way that such a person will look like an anomaly if he is not constantly in the state of a squirrel on a wheel.
