There is no doubt that gambling addiction is strictly on individuals choice and decision however I believe economy can still contribute to gambling addiction especially when there is economy depression. So ones financial situation can really makes them to turn gambling into there only means of breaking out of poverty.

Culture and tradition. This had been the case here in our country. Then there's also the sudden ease of access to the very well-known card game, so many people were intrigued to try it.
Advertising is also one. You can now see all the popular local online gambling platforms in YouTube advertisements. I thought it just depended on the history of the viewer, but it's not. I think this is a real thing. In some countries, it can be difficult to find work, and with the economic downturn, people turn to gambling for profit. They look for loopholes or opportunities to get rich, as you said. This gradually leads to many of them becoming like this. I think it's simply culture, that every population has its own customs. For example, in Sicily, gambling with Sicilian cards used to be played only during the Christmas season; from the first day of Lent onward, no playing cards were touched.

It is a difficult job but it must be done because it is a responsibility, while you do the obligations of the parents who are responsible for their children and form your child's character from a small adulthood is very not easy, but there is always a way to educate children to be better.
