I used to look at predictions on the internet, and after having a losing streak following all their predictions, that's when I realized that I should just make my own predictions.
After that, I don't really look at any predictions anymore. If I were, my bets are already locked in and there's no way I am changing it even if I feel like his predictions are better than mine.
We should sometimes trust our own instincts and analysis because there's really no assurance at other predictions  too.

In sports threads like boxing, NBA or soccer, users are sharing their bets. Its not really important but if you see it as important to know what your fellow coiners here are betting, I think it would help also your decision.

I tend to look at the bets of the users in the thread and compare my analysis and whether we match ideas. If I see one that I can agree and there are more of us on that side, our bets must be good.

I don't think there's any benefit in looking at other people's bets it's better to focus on the round or game you're playing. This gambling game depends on how you perceive the odds and the situation you're playing. If you feel your chances are slim, you shouldn't force yourself to continue playing. Conversely, if your chances are high and you're confident you can match your opponent's bets, If you focus on or watch other people's bets, it will certainly cause anxiety and make you lose concentration on the game.

And other things like confirmation bias and you thinking you have control makes you feel assured because other people bett the same way or because you think it works like that but in reality it's just an illusion. To some, it wouldn't be considered peer pressure to copy others, yet, allowing their decisions change our outmost choices isn't right. Players should stand their ground while analyzing games and shouldn't bend or change their games because of what other people predicted. It leads to regret if the game doesn't play as planned. Gambling is fun and reduces blames when we stick to our gaming method at all times.

If I had to answer many questions, I would say that I never follow other people's bets and I try to give the utmost importance to what I understand myself. If I bet on sports betting and in that case, if I follow someone else's suggestion or bet, and if he is less experienced than me, I follow his bet, then I will not get the benefit. I don't need to see what others are doing before i can play my own bet, gambling is what should be a personal decision by us, we cant go by what others are doing and still applied same as our own pattern, except we don't want to be independent about the way we gamble, because i can see the way some have seen so dependent on others in gambling, the more the reason you see how they sought out for ideas, odds and other information about gambling from others, while some will independently engaged on this and gamble all alone without any help from a third party influence.

I won't lie, I do look at other people's bets though not physically but online, any time I want to bet on any sports game, i usually take out time looking at the casinos bet log so as to see what other gamblers/bettors are betting on, or who exactly they are betting on.

A couple of times, I've noticed I ended up changing my mind concerning a team I wanted to bet on after I saw in casinos betting log that majority were betting on the opposite team I was going to bet on.
While on some other occasions, even after looking at the logs, I still go ahead to bet on the team I have initially wanted to bet on because I am kind of confident that the team would win.

So in conclusion, it's not all that important to know other people's bet, but at the same time, knowing can help us understand perfectly well what other people are saying concerning the game, this will help us rethink every decision to make sure we don't end up betting wrongly.

I like to do my own research, and this also gives me confidence in my own abilities so that I can be confident in winning bets. But after I place a bet, I discuss it with my friends and try to understand how they think and also get an idea of how accurate my bet might be. You are right that there’s no guarantee in other predictions but surely there are odds that can tell how closer he is to the actual likelihood of his bet happening. It can be helpful to just assess our own bets compared to others but if following others has made you lose then it’s good you took the decision to instead focus on your own.

You can get lucky from anywhere; whether you predict by yourself or you check what is trending.  Gambling is a game of luck, so you can't exactly tell what will work out.

It is neccessary also to note that is is never important to know other people's bets. Yes, you can know but not neccessarily an important thing to do. If you make it important, then it means you as a gambler does not believe in yourself, other people's bets validates what you do.

You know, the problem is that they all feel like these things don't add up sometimes... They feel like they can only be influenced by themselves, but not anything else that's happening in their environment -- But trust me, this can mess up your mind; when your mind gets messed up, that's just the beginning of your failure.

My honest take on this is that I prioritize my own bets over any other predictions or bets from sny other person famous or not; Influencer or celebrity. What I can however, is to play some pf their bets in a separate slip and I would most likely review via gut feelings. So even if my bias is to bet on team 1 to win and someone famous is backing team 2, I'm always going to go with team 1 even if they end up losing. The side bet I take from time to time is mostly just because I want to keep an open mind without necessary risking my independence on my own bets.

I think it is better not to pay attention to bets being placed by others, to be honest. It only messes up with our own confidence onna choice we should suppse to have already taken before approaching a betting place or website.
Betting and gambling can bring serious consequences of we are not careful on what we are doing, and it is important we are all the sole responsible ones for those consequences, not leaving room for us to blame someone else for an outcome which did not favour us.

Though, it would be completely different to approach a betting place having the intention to burn some money for fun and place a bet based on the bet of others. That is valid and usually, when that happens, one is supposed to be even more careful with the amount we are putting at stake.

I don't follow the crowd if that's what you're asking about but I don't mind having some comparisons with my friends when we're gambling together. But if I'm gambling on my own, I don't have any business with what others are picking.

Even with the comparison with my friends I don't get easily influenced because it's hard for me to change my picks. Before the picks were made, I have already made different research and decided my picks are the best option I can go with.

We have to learn to believe in ourselves because there aren't that many good options out there, if they were then they'll all be rich from winning and most likely won't be sharing the secret with you.
