Taken loan to gamble is very risky, what do you think?

I know a lot of post has been made in this gambling board and I don't know if such has been created, but what I want to say is a situation that happened to a close friend

My friend is a gambler, a serious one for that matter. Some days ago he asked me to borrow him money to gamble and I told him not to borrow money to gamble but gamble with what he can afford to lose but he refused. Instead he went ahead to borrow from another person to pay back with interest, gues what?
He loss the game and now he is owing Capital and interest together that will surely be paid now he keeps blaming me that If I had given the loan to him, that he would have just owe me the capital without interest.

It is the quickest way to become bankrupt and it won’t be just money you will be losing if you ever do that. You will also lose your reputation. Your friends and family members will see you as someone they can’t trust anymore. They won’t share any serious information with you because they will think you are not worthy. That’s worse than losing just money. You can fix your mistake, work hard and pay your debts off but it is way harder to gain trust back. Most of the time it is not even possible. Once they label you “gambling addict” you’ll stay like that in their minds forever. That’s the real risk which only a few talk about.

This topic has been discussed so many times on this board. However such stories will not end because people will always go the extra mile to satisfy their uncontrollable urge. I think your friend is suffering from gambling addiction. He need to reconsider his gambling activities, take a break or seek professional help. Anyone who goes to the extent of borrowing with interest because of gambling is not a responsible gambler.

It is never a good habit to borrow money for the sole purpose of gambling, and there is also no game in gambling that is worth risking all on to the extent of borrowing if and when does not have his or her own money to finance a bet or gamble.
From the people I know who had borrowed money to gamble, this never ended well with any of them, they always end up losing the borrowed money at the end of the day, causing them to go into oweing unexpected or unprecedented debt.

And another fact is that borrowing to do anything like gambling which is not really important to anyone is simply one living above his or her means, another bad attitude if I am ask.
So I honestly discourage gamblers from borrowing to gamble, because I myself have been there and know how exactly it feels to lose a borrowed money on gambling, it's no good feeling at all.

Although it is a bit hard but I suggest youto  avoid this kind of friend.  Not only he don't heed your advice he also blame you of the things he commited himself.  He don't want to take responsibility of his action and blame others of his wrong action.

No, it is not good to take a loan to gamble.  It is not the way of responsible gambling.  You are right when you told your friend to only gambe what he can afford to lose.  Loaning funds to support one's bankroll ca only lead to financial ruins because not only does one have to pay for the capital, but also for the interest.

No there is none.  There is no gambling game worth loaning and risking it just to get some winnings.  There is no sure win in gambling, and the result is always random. He may win some, but mostly he will lose since his traits and actions in gambling are sure to make him lose, else he wouldn't have to borrow money just to fund his bankroll.

Actually topic about not taking loan have been discussed and it's obviously that people don't learn from what happened to others as a lesson rather are wanting to experience it themselves. Taking loan to gamble is the worst thing a man could do, although anyone can take loan but when taking such loan it should be that they have other works they are doing to clear up their loans or that are equals to the loan they are taking maybe at the end of the month or week they would have to clear their loans. But most of the gamblers today would want to go take loan from people or from money lenders with the hope of them using it to gamble and make Winning from the gambling without having another source of income to pay off their loan, at this point you would see them becoming indebted to the lender or to where they borrowed the money.

Taking loan to gamble is a sign of addiction because gambling isn't a necessity. If you don't have money, you shouldn't gamble to avoid putting yourself in a tight corner of paying back what you have already lost. You did good not to give him the money but advised him and he refused. He's putting the blame on you, because he must pay back the loan to the lender. Maybe, if it was you, he wouldn't have paid back.

If you haven't got the money to gamble, its best you don't. Taking a loan for an investment is risky enough but with gambling, it is definitely not advisable. In most cases, it surely would not turn out like you expected and you would lose out like your friend did.
It seems your friend hasn't  learned anything yet and is quite strong headed. Blaming you for not giving him a loan to play and ultimately lose out. It's almost laughable.

There is no game that is worth playing by taking a loan. It's a sure way to slowly decline into financial difficulties and perhaps addiction.

Its not good and completely a bad idea, i will not suggest such act for someone, if truly i want to help the person, because many have been into debt by the virtue of getting involved in all manner of behaviors like that that landed them into trouble, if you don't have money, then stay away from gambling.

It is not advisable to take loan for gambling, most people who tried it have gone bankrupt. They have even sold their property just to gamble. That is the worst of it all. I will not advice anyone to try it.

No matter how a game looks so good to be true, it does not Worth taken loan to gamble, because it might turn the opposite. And the possibility of losing is high than win that's why we don't need to even try taken such risk.

The answer is no, a little child should know what’s right for their well being at that age range talk less  of a grown adult. Like op said we’ve discussed similar topics like this whereby they don’t get the luck desired and end up with regret, it’s so obvious you never get lucky always mostly when trying to win with an uncertain situation. The worse thing anyone could think of is gambling with a borrowed money for example I read the story of a guy who committed suicide as a result of frustration, I know suicide is not an option but he had reasons why and to my biggest surprise he borrowed large sum amount of money just to gamble meanwhile he wanted to double the money thinking he could benefit but, unfortunately everything ended in shame. Negative stories like this are just too numerous if you create time to search you’ll discover gamblers who borrowed money just for the sake to bet they never get a win.

No matter how a game looks so good to be true, it does not Worth taken loan to gamble, because it might turn the opposite. And the possibility of losing is high than win that's why we don't need to even try taken such risk.

Even in starting a business, its not advisable to use a loan for a start up, we have to work out things first for our own self before taking necessary steps, that is why it is important we ask questions for clarity in some aspects we may not know much about, because we cant afford to get ourself into trouble, just by a silly mistake we could have avoided, also, some do advise others wrongly that they can go into taking loan to gamble and play a sure bet, at the end, they will be left alone to face the wrath of their action losing the bet.

Gambling is a game of uncertainty and in most cases you would have to get lucky to win... taking a loan to gamble is very risky and it's a stupid decision for an adult to make...The main reason why a lot of people commit suicide due to gambling is because they use borrowed money to gamble and when they end up losing they can't think of any other way to solve the problem.. I don't even advice anyone to borrow money to make an investment talk more of gambling

Is quite unwise to take loan to gamble with since we know that you can lose all the money you use to gamble, the fact that gambling is a probably games and we can't tell if we are going to win, if means we need to make everything possible to remain at a stable stand Post that can increase our confidence level at some point, so for that taking a loan to gamble with is a no go area since it will put us in a bad state for so long.

I can't advise anybody to take loan in other to gamble, because Taking loan to gamble is just foolishness, and that person foolishness will land the person in bankrupt where he or she will be unable to pay off his or her dept's. We only take loan when it's necessary, so I don't see taking loan to gamble as a necessity, and beside gambling is suppose to be a game for fun and a game for entertainment and not the other way round. Although I don't blame those people who are taking loan in other to gamble, because some of them are doing it because of the condition they find theirselves, but even as that taking loan to gamble is not a wise decision rather a foolish decision, while some people are doing it to meet up in life, they want to make it overnight through gambling which is another foolishness.

It's not really important to take loan to gamble because gambling is not something that is certain about the return and the winning is not sure. We should be very mindful on the way we take gambling to the next extent even to the length of taking loans, sincerely I do not really fancy and encourage people to go take loan because it's a way of creating dying way for them.
Gambling is not that something to rely on to make money because it may not come when they needs it.

You knew to yourself that your friend is suffering now by doing this. Obviously it’s not a good move especially if he can’t pay the loan using his own money after losing it to the casino.

No, all games has house edge. There’s no way it’s worth it to take a loan just to gamble.  I do make loan in the past just to gamble but that is just small amount and I can afford to pay it quickly even if I lose.

Right now, I completely disagree of the idea of doing it.

from what your friend went through, do you think it’s a good idea to take out a loan just to gamble? just think about it. regardless of the situation, one should never take out a loan to gamble, because it is a fast road to financial ruin. it is strongly recommended that people only gamble with their own money, as this serves as the most basic boundary for maintaining self-control and responsibility while gambling.

gambling already places enough pressure on the gambler, and when combined with borrowed money, the psychological burden doubles. not only is there the risk of losing money, but the gambler is also burdened with debt. so, no matter how urgent the situation, gambling with borrowed money is not a solution... it's a trap that must be resolutely avoided.

Well thread like this has been discussed on several occasions but nevertheless I will still advice you to stay away from taken loan to gamble. If you or your friend wan to gamble, you can gamble with your spear money, so that when you lose  you wouldn't become so aggressive. its only the greedy type that can go any height or length to take such decision.

Taking out a loan to do some gambling is probably one of the most self-destructive things you could do. The only reason I would ever think this is acceptable is if you forgot your money or don’t have access to it for some reason. If you’re doing it because you are broke then you are a fool that will quickly be parted from your cash.
