CZ is having a lot of fun this days, Bitcoin wasn't even invented, it was a creation of different investions. Bitcoin uses hash functions, it was already a creation, it used scripts which are already an invention, it used encryption which was already an invention.

Bitcoin is rather a creative work of a smart man and that man is Satoshi Nakomoto. I also don't agree with the AI thing else I'm not sure if we are going to be looking for a solution for quantum solutions without compromising the network.

The brilliance of BTC is to combine what's already there in the greatest system of all time  Wink

Those debates are nonsense. It's proven that Bitcoin can stand the test of time and was able to overcome the hardest periods of time like those dark days when people haven't heard of it. And if they do, it's mostly from the dark web and other illegal activities. But this time, it's all about how the mainstream have adopted it, the big financial institutions and even countries have an idea now to invest on it.
It is non sense as from 2009 to 2025, how many generations exposed to Bitcoin and actually participated in Bitcoin community and market. I think it is two generations at least if not up to three generations and if Bitcoin has been successfully survived through two or three generations, it has been strong enough to move onwards to more future generations.

With time, Lindy effect will make Bitcoin stronger and has better survivalability.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lindy_effect

This Lindy effect works with other things and will work with Bitcoin too.
I haven't heard of that effect. And so based on that effect, it's going to be of good use for the next 50 years again. So, we should expect more from it and that's why with all of the test that it has been through, FUD, attacks and spams. It remained to be as good and strong as it is than ever. Its uptime has been there for so long and that's why it'll be hard to put it down and now that bigger investors are here as well, they won't just allow it to be down too.

Bitcoin has survived hundreds of setbacks and we can hope that it will survive in the future as well. Over time, people are becoming more aware of the use of Bitcoin and are more encouraged to invest in it. There are some special reasons behind this. The main feature of Bitcoin is that it is decentralized, that is no specific country or government can control it. Through Bitcoin exchange, there is no need for a third party, and transactions can be made very easily and quickly, which is not possible with any other medium. Researchers believe that investing in Bitcoin can protect against future inflation because its supply is limited. Currently, big businessmen are very enthusiastic about investing in Bitcoin, so from my point of view, Bitcoin will rise higher with the change of time and the whole world will become more aware of its use.

The surprising thing is that one bitcoin was created or introduced in 2009 many people thought that bitcoin is not going to stay that long because of so many attacks by different countries government, but it happens today that bitcoin overcome all those allegations those litigations against the existence of Bitcoin, so if bitcoin will be above 14 years of existence that means bitcoin have come to stay and I don't think that is possible for it to be removed out of digital market because of the traffic it has caused based on investment understanding of people from different geographical environment about cryptocurrency

Since Bitcoin is not currently being influenced by any third party or individual, i.e. it is not being controlled by a third party, it is not likely to be destroyed very easily. But if for some reason the creator of Bitcoin becomes active and damages Bitcoin, then it may not go to the next generation. However, the way Bitcoin is becoming a strategic reserve for large companies, we certainly believe that it will flow from one generation to the next.

I believe that Bitcoin will easily outlive all further, even very fast cryptocurrencies, because even if they are technologically excellent with very small commissions, they will still always have some team of developers who can be subject to attacks or that they themselves will want to scam their coins.
And bitcoin is digital gold, because Satoshi will never scam it, it is reliable as a Swiss watch. Therefore, society easily turned a blind eye to such unpleasant moments as the introduction of Ordinals with a large commission.

I agree, demand for BTC only becomes bigger, and there is little reason for it to become smaller.

Institutions crave what drives the trends, has all the capabilities to bring profit, while also being the best and most stable coin out there in the space.

If for anything, I don't think the survival of Bitcoin is longer in doubt, it is the degree of its dominance that’s up for discussion. When it first appeared, it faced the harshest resistance you could imagine. Bitcoin was dismissed as a scam, attacked by governments, ridiculed by mainstream institutions and doubted even by ordinary people. Yet, through all that, Bitcoin not only survived but grew stronger.

Today, many of the same voices that once called it worthless are now investing in it. Nations are drafting policies around it. Financial giants are offering Bitcoin products. That tells me one thing and that's Bitcoin has already crossed the most difficult stage, the stage of rejection.

If it could weather those storms in its infancy, then its future across generations is almost certain. Personally, I think Bitcoin will not only survive, it will be valued far more significantly than we can currently imagine.

To be fair, the future is unpredictable, we can't guarantee anything. Bitcoin could become something bigger than we imagine or soon be replaced by something better, anything is possible.

Just because bitcoin has been around for 16 years doesn't mean it will continue to exist and thrive for decades and centuries to come. It’s all a mystery, especially since Bitcoin is a result of technological development and as we all know, technological development is happening at a very fast pace. So it's hard to say anything in advance.

Like gold, it has been around for thousands of years and plays an extremely important role in the world, but many people even doubt its existence in the coming years. Bitcoin is a digital asset that is only 16 years old so nothing can be said for sure.

Firstly you need to correct some of the things as Bitcoin was not only here couple of years back but it is it has been here for more than a decade. If you see this then you will know that while most of the old crypto coins vanished but the Bitcoin is still alive and is on its very high prices at the moment.

Unless there isn't any threat from the quantum computing (which at the moment isn't), it's very likely that bitcoin is here to stay and soon compete with the marketcap of Gold.

I agree.

Bitcoin wouldn't even need to go for the caps of something bigger - I would be happy if it would be just as accepted as anything fiat like, and then the demand, along with the price, would grow by itself naturally and eventually would surpass this and that, but in the long run, cap is just a cap - what matters is adoption.

Bitcoin was not here with us couple of years back but Bitcoin is here so can it survive decades like normal money?
Currently, Bitcoin is better known as digital gold. We know that Bitcoin is decentralized and blockchain technology. It is not controlled by any center. According to the characteristics of Bitcoin, it can exist in the future, but there are some challenges. We know that the price of Bitcoin is very unstable. It constantly fluctuates in price. Due to such volatility in price, people will not want to use it for daily use. People will usually use stable currencies for transactions. In that case, if the price of Bitcoin fluctuates, it will become difficult to use it for daily use. In addition, there are many countries where Bitcoin has not been recognized as legal tender yet, and in some countries it is still banned. Many big companies and countries have started using it now, so the more its use increases, the more likely it will exist. Whether Bitcoin will be used as ordinary money will depend on how the world economy accepts it and how we use it.

Honestly, I think Bitcoin can survive the next generation but it won’t look exactly like it does today.

It’s already lasted over a decade, gone through multiple cycles, survived government bans, media FUD, and thousands of people calling it “dead.” Yet here we are.

The tech is solid, the network keeps growing, and more institutions are getting involved. That’s not something that just disappears overnight. That said, it's probably not gonna replace fiat completely at least not anytime soon. But as a store of value or digital gold? That role might only get stronger.

The real question is whether people in the next generation will care more about decentralization or convenience. If they lean towards the first, Bitcoin’s got a solid shot.

Time will tell, but I wouldn't bet against it.

Bitcoin was not here with us couple of years back but Bitcoin is here so can it survive decades like normal money?

If we talk about Bitcoin, then its mining will end around 2140. If we calculate it roughly, there are still 115 years left, which means more than a century. And the interesting thing is that Bitcoin cannot be printed at will, like the government is doing with our currency. Just think about how many zeros will be added to our currency in a hundred years and whether we will reach crores in personal budget per capita income beyond 100 lakhs. The numbers in the numbers game will only continue to increase, at the end of the day, will the quality of life improve? This is the real question.

But I think if you want to leave it for your next generation, then you can definitely close your eyes and buy Bitcoin. Maybe in the next 100 years, many new technologies will come, maybe something new will come, but I can say without a doubt that nothing will happen in 100 years.

Based on performance of last 10 years, it is here to stay for long. The returns it has given to investors are unmatchable with any other investment option.

Also another factor in support of bitcoins is that new generation will be more tech smart and thus they will be able to use crypto efficiently.

Only big factor against crypto and bitcoin is that governments are not trying to control it.

I dont see much cons as of now, as long as adoption of bitcoin keeps increasing there will be increase in price and the generations will continue using bitcoin.

Till date anybody saying that they will topple bitcoin have never been heard of again. I still have not seen anyone create something of a second to bitcoin. Hence we can safely say that that is not going to happen anytime soon.

For now we should try to accumulate bitcoin as much as we can whenever the prices drop and continue to hold and sell when needed.

I agree with you and people need to view a big picture in which the world has been in its adoption trend on blockchain technology and applied it more in governments and societies. Bitcoin as a leader in this industry will be supported well and I am bullish about Bitcoin future.

I see no reasons why the future generations will say no to Bitcoin as I know even new participants love altcoins, time and market cycles will teach them, and give them valuable and expensive lessons on how scam, weak and vulnera to scam exits, rug pulls, failures, abandonment and deaths.

When they are experienced enough, they will know Bitcoin is best and safest so no reason for them to be against Bitcoin. Most altcoins come and go, Bitcoin always stays here since 2009.

Bitcoin was not here with us couple of years back but Bitcoin is here so can it survive decades like normal money?

I believe that Bitcoin will easily outlive all further, even very fast cryptocurrencies, because even if they are technologically excellent with very small commissions, they will still always have some team of developers who can be subject to attacks or that they themselves will want to scam their coins.
And bitcoin is digital gold, because Satoshi will never scam it, it is reliable as a Swiss watch. Therefore, society easily turned a blind eye to such unpleasant moments as the introduction of Ordinals with a large commission.
Our current world is becoming more online-based, where Bitcoin, despite being a crypto currency, is attracting many large business organizations and even ordinary people around the world, and its demand is increasing day by day. If we look at the recent decision taken by El Salvador regarding Bitcoin, we can pretty much predict how it will affect our future economy. So, considering all the recent aspects, it can be seen that Bitcoin will survive our next generation and there is certainly nothing to doubt about it.

Yes, Bitcoin can survive the next generation if people keep using and trusting it.
It keeps growing as more young people learn about it.

Though :
Why did the kid ask for Bitcoin instead of candy?
Because he said, “Sugar crashes, Bitcoin moons!” 🚀😄 Grin Grin Kiss Kiss Kiss

Yes, of course you can and people invest so much in Bitcoin because of its potential. But you must be patient for this because its results are long term. If you can maintain the DCA method and keep the deep buy then you will definitely be able to profit in the future.
