I think that gambling addiction is a very serious and frightening disease. It destroys not only the life of the person who is gambling, but also the lives of their loved ones. Such people, whenever possible, should be removed from their usual environment, just like drug addicts. They need help finding alternative activities and staying in constant contact with mentors and authoritative people who motivate them to change their lives. Unfortunately, not everyone is able to do this.

I have a feeling that it could be tough to detect an addict at the early stages cause many people can now gamble in private with any device, some people won't even know that they're living with gambling addict until it ge worst to the point that the addict starts selling valuable properties to gamble. It's how bad gambling can make someone behave which is why I agree that it's a serious mental disease. Well lots of awareness have been made for years now, it's left for gamblers to be responsible and avoid addiction.

Only people who are hit very hard by gambling bad luck, I mean intensive bad luck, only these persons can acknowledge somehow that they are now in the abyss of addiction and these are the only persons who ask for some sort of help or decide to quit gambling based on only their self-determination. I consider these people lucky despite them saying to themselves that we were destroyed and devastated completely because of such loses yet they are the only ones who are ready to get out of the addiction abyss. That is why this is the only category who may have a chance to get out of gambling addiction, all other people who are not hit by such devastating loses do not distinct between reality and their distorted reality fed to them from to much dopamine.

I agree with you, if we can be careful about this addiction from the very beginning, i.e. from the very beginning of the game, then it is possible to control it before it leads to major losses. People get deeply into it without knowing it, and this always leads them to major losses. Yes, you are right, in reality, there is no such gambler who does not have the desire to win by betting on gambling. I am not that kind of gambler, but if I do not bet sometimes, then I must have the main target to earn money and that is the ambition of the gambler. You are right, but apart from awareness and intentions to stop the addictions, but taking action is where most people struggle maybe as a result of procrastination. The process is not always smooth, people can try, fail, and still feel stuck at times.. From what I understand is that support from family and friends is also important, not just willpower alone.  Also try to change your daily habits/routine, like if you are an unemployed person who gambles a lot , find something to do that will kill the time that gives you the urge to gamble. Yeah, you explained it really well. In the past, there was some friction - you had to leave the house, get ready, make time for it. That stopped a lot of people, zero friction, it's all online and available at any moment.
The most dangerous part, in my opinion, is how fast and unnoticed it all happens. You might start just “for fun”, and then at some point you don’t even realize how it turns into a habit and eventually into an addiction. And because this shift is so subtle, people often realize there’s a problem way too late.

As much as it can be entertaining if it is under control, it can also be very harmful if it is uncontrolled. And we must always be careful in this regard.
