Anyone that works for you, that's should be your own definition of long term investment. If not that bull run has refused to start on altcoins, people make 30x from a coin in a month but today, some people have hold some coins in the last 3 years and so far the growth has change. Hardly you will see a coin that has done 4x since last year but if this was then, the story could have change but we don't know tomorrow, maybe it is going to be better than now.

You can see Bitcoin has done 1000x in the last few years but it's likely going to reduce over time because the value is getting bigger and the more it get bigger the more it chance of doing more reduce but will continue to grow, the people that will enjoy this are people that has money because if you have 1 Bitcoin and the market do 2x, that's a big money compare to a person that invested 1000 to another coin that did 10x with high risk.
