Previously, I was quite worried about Aston Villa because they have sometimes been inconsistent this season. Even in the first leg, their performance was a bit unconvincing. This was further compounded by their poor performance in the Premier League recently. However, their spirit finally returned and they managed to play a very optimal match in the second leg, scoring four goals, without even giving Nottingham Forest a chance to fight back.

Once again, congratulations to Aston Villa for ultimately advancing to the final. Freiburg, although I've read that Aston Villa are favored to win, Freiburg have actually been playing quite consistently in the Europa League so far.

They play offensively and often score more goals. So, whatever it is, Aston Villa must remain cautious. I'm not congratulating Aston Villa just yet, as it's still uncertain which club will win this match.

It's nice to watch the finale without worrying about the outcome. As for the chances, Aston Villa looks too strong for this tournament and it looks like the scenario I described in the EPL thread is coming true: Aston Villa will win the Europa League, take 5th place in the EPL and thus the EPL will receive 6 tickets to the Champions League. It remains to be hoped that next season teams from England will be beaten in the same way as this one

Before 2nd leg game there was nice odds for Villa to qualify and I didn't missed opportunity to bet on it. Even after losing 1st leg somehow I didn't had doubts about them. But this year final looks meh. Emery probably already lost count how many Europa league finals he had. While Freiburg isn't most interesting team for me.

He's a real serial killer when it comes to the Europa League!  3 cups with Sevilla + 1 with Villarreal... and second place with Arsenal, ahahaha I see a meme here  Now I will definitely be rooting for Freiburg (although I understand that Aston Villa will win), I want the superiority of Spanish teams to be recorded in Emery’s biography: 4 cups with Spain and 2 second places with England – does that sound good?

I agree here,,, no feelings towards Spanish football or even Unai Emery,,, and big respect for what Aston Villa do but it would be super nice to see this one won by Freiburg just to show that he could only get Arteta vibes with English teams.

English teams are playing really big this year in all UEFA tournaments. Arsenal in the Champions League finale, Aston Villa in the Europa League finale and Crystal Palace have also reached the finale in the Conference League.

However I don't feel like the winners of all of these ones will be English teams. I can say Aston Villa and Crystal Palace are more likely to do that. Emery is preparing for his 5th title in this tournament by the way.

But Arsenal have a very difficult job against PSG despite having a great defense. Let's see how much English teams will dominate.

That is because Nottingham had advantage in first match, but I was sure Aston Villa was going to finals and I placed money on them.

Six teams from one country in the Champions League sounds absurd. Six champions of what? In fact, most of the participants have no title at all, i.e. they are champions of nothing  
If Aston Villa wins the Europa League and remains in 5th place, then the best-ranked club in the preliminary stage, according to the UEFA rankings, will not receive a Champions League ticket (they will remain in the preliminary stage instead of receiving a direct ticket). Not long ago it would have been Benfica, but they lost their place to Sporting (in the Portuguese championship) and didn't even make it to the preliminary round.

It looks like exactly Sporting will be the one to lose a direct ticket, since everyone above them either goes directly to the Champions League or does not participate in the preliminary tournament.

Time to bump this topic because tomorrow we have Europa league final. Yes, in our pool everything is decided already, prize spots can't change, but anyway, after following things whole season, how we can ignore final.
Though, I admit that I'm not very excited about it, it's not most interesting teams for me and I'm more waiting for Conference league final. Emery has chance to lift trophy with 3rd different team and 5th time in history. Unbeleavable.

It was probably most boring Europa league final since 2019 when Chelsea left no chance for Arsenal. Aston Villa is just completely better team and their advantage left no questions. Emery once again proved that he is GOAT of Europa league.

Maybe Liverpool to win Europa League next year?
Unai Emery can not win same trophy next season because Aston Villa is playing on Champions League next season, but he has a contract until 2029.
If we continue with Europa League prediction competition next season than I plan to make big changes and make it much more interesting.
