Hey folks, earlier today I got a PM saying that JUG was trading on an exchange called Coinopend.

I did a little research and found 2 threads from the past couple of days saying that Coinopend is a scam.

From another thread, regarding Coinopend

I can only confirm this site is a scam. I didn't loose much. But this exchange is listed on many coin thread by their authors. Maybe that s why i trusted it..

It's sad, but it appears that this exchange is indeed a scam, and a lot of coins are unintentionally marketing it on behalf of the scammers by listing it in their threads.

Since launching this coin, I have gained a whole new perspective on the level of scamming that goes on in the alt community.  I am literally approached by a different scammer every single day -- fake exchange reps, fake marketing services, fake exchanges, etc.

And even when the services themselves are 100% legit like Tales from the Scrypt, if those people fall prey to scammers, we can inadvertently lead our folks into traps.

I'm not sure what my point is but this stuff just pisses me off.  So just be careful.  Just because a site looks legit doesn't mean that it is.  Use escrow services when possible.  With something like an exchange, do small test deposits, trades, AND WITHDRAWLS first.  And even then, be careful.  Reputation is an important guide, as it is often all that someone has to lose in this world.  A site like Mintpal, for example, is unlikely intentionally steal 10 BTC from you because you could publicize it and do far more damage than that to their business.  But if a site or an individual doesn't have a reputation to worry about, they have nothing to lose.

Be careful out there, my ninjas.

Got mine too: no fuss, bother or bullshit - promise kept and what happened to TalesfromtheScrypt wasn't even the OPs problem/fault/responsibility at any level.  With all of the BS around altcoins (checkout today's EmiritesCoin launch ... sad but funny as hell especially the giant penguin and the dudes shooting machine guns in the car dealership...) this is pretty huge.

its actually cheaper to buy. Anyway I clear my remaining 70k JUG at 300. Maybe will buy back at 100. Lets see. If it doesn't happen I am fine with that. I mine those coin during the first 2 days of mining where the reward was 535 and network hashrate was 250 mh for many days. Sometimes i am lucky i get 10 blocks of 535 in 1 hour. I am using only 12 mh to get 100k coins in 2 days , pretty cool profit even if I am selling at 300. I sold some at 2000 and some at 1400. Thought of keeping some just in case it spike in value. But after some analysis , I decided is safer to clear my stock and set a safe buy entry point. If price goes up,I am not buying. There are way better coin to invest in.

I just got The Source hotsauce. I will definitely not be doing a teaspoon of this even if JUG trades for over 10000 satoshi.
A few drops makes my tongue feel like its on fire while being cut with razorblades.

I am on the Mac client, and my .conf file is working properly. I've got shit synced and everything. I signed up for the getcoin2 faucet as well. However, even though that website says that I have coins in my account, the wallet itself tells me I've got a balance of 0. I'm wondering if I used the wrong address or something (I copied it from the "receive' tab). A bit of help here, please?
