Depending on the gambler, most people can be addictive when they pays more attention to the gambling site while most people can be addictive when they often win. On a norm we should know that immediately there is winning it boost our interest to gamble where if such person doesn't control themselves very well they often turn into addiction because they would be wanting to always win whereby they wouldn't mind or even control and regulate their gambling activities and before you knew it they easily becomes addicted to gambling.
In my opinion, addiction isn't based on viewing or paying attention to the gambling site, but rather on curious beginners who want to visit. For experienced gamblers, these gambling sites are a common sight. Almost the majority of gamblers are addicted based on what they have experienced in gambling, That's why addiction is so difficult for gamblers to overcome. And as you said, it's important to maintain overall control over our emotions and our bankroll when playing.
Generally, new gamblers tend to have a greater sense of excitement when they win, and they tend to be more emotional about it, because their excitement and cravings are higher in the first place. This causes dopamine to be released in everyone's brain, and as a result, they want to get this kind of excitement again and again, and this is why it becomes very difficult for new gamblers, especially for new gamblers, to maintain their control over their excitement while gambling. Although it is very difficult for new gamblers to maintain awareness and limits, they should develop awareness over time, learn from experience and be realistic here, so that they can keep themselves in control and reduce their chances of addiction.

That's basically true.

The reality is that most addictions have that in common, that basically makes you like the activity more and more over time and you start craving it.

The moment you stop, your brain starts to ask you about it.

The key is to start doing something else instead that also gives you pleasure.

We all experienced our first wins and losses more emotionally, but then we get used to it. For me personally, it's easier to process losses now. However, when it comes to winning, I still feel a surge of positive emotions, and it can even improve my mood. I feel this even with small bets, but I admit that some players seek greater thrills and try to achieve them by increasing their bets. I think it's easier to become more addicted to gambling in this case, because you can lose much more than you planned.

Which can be more addicting between the two: placing small bets every day or gambling only once or twice a year but doing so with huge amounts of money?

If you place bets every day, your brain might get too used to it even if it is just a small amount but betting less frequently but with bigger amounts of money may lead you to be emotionally attached to that money and may feel extremely happy to win and extremely disappointed to lose.

So what do you think gets someone more addicted?
All can get you addicted, even if you bet once in a year , the fact that your mind is on gambling and you're losing money any time you play it's still addiction. There's no amount that can't lead you to addiction, let's not deceive ourselves, to me all gamblers are addicted but the way you handle it that's all that matters most, if you're not strong in mind, you might lose your mind because of gambling but if you're strong in heart, you will see it as waste. That's why you have work on your emotion if you're into gambling.

Those that stake according to their level, are easily move on when they lose than those that bet once in a while with huge sum and still lose the money,  when you lose your money even if is small amount it will still get to you badly, we're human being and we have feelings

Frequent gambling is what get you addicted and not the amount you gamble with. The amount you gamble with is what determines the type of gambler you are, either responsible gambler or reckless gambler. Your brain normally reflects on your daily routine and get adapted with it to extent you don't even need a reminder for it again. Regular gambling daily will definitely make it become part of your lifestyle you'll not longer be able to do without it. Once you can not do without gambling, just be rest assured you're already addicted irrespective of the amount you use to gamble no matter how small it is. On the other hand, if you gamble with huge amount but it's not on regular basis there is high tendency you might forget about your past experience (either win or lose) before your next gamble and it have less effect on you.

A guy, who plays gambling games once or twice per year cannot be called "addict". If he manages to keep his "schedule" to once or twice per year at maximum, then how can we consider such person to be an addict? Even if he manages to lose big amounts of money, he's not addicted, because he isn't gambling 24/7 and he isn't chasing any losses.
Regular gamblers fit more into the "gambling addict" category, but the real addicts are the ones, who get into debts and financial difficulties.
That's the weird part. You could gamble every single day for around 3 or 4 hours, but nobody would consider you a gambling addict, if you are rich enough to afford losing lots of money and you are not having any problems with your finances.

Although it is very difficult for new gamblers to maintain awareness and limits, they should develop awareness over time, learn from experience and be realistic here, so that they can keep themselves in control and reduce their chances of addiction.

normal, or rather i would say using a medical word that i like a lot, physiological
when you haven't experienced dopamine at first then the first signs of excitement are beautiful
as dopamine decreases and to feel the same emotions you have to exaggerate more and more
so be careful, there is also a physical and chemical component to addiction

The early phase of gambling often feels electrifying especially for new players who are just discovering the thrill of winning that first big moment triggers a strong release of dopamine the brain’s natural reward chemical it’s the same process that makes people crave excitement in other activities but with gambling the rush is more unpredictable and that unpredictability is what keeps people hooked the mind starts associating the game not only with money but with pleasure and the promise of that pleasure becomes hard to resist.

Physiologically the brain begins to adapt once the dopamine surge becomes familiar it takes more stimulation to reach the same level of excitement that’s when gamblers start increasing bets or playing longer hours not always to win more but simply to feel the same high they felt in the beginning this is where the slippery slope of addiction begins it’s not just about wanting money anymore it’s about chasing a chemical reaction that feels rewarding but fades quickly. For new gamblers this pattern is especially dangerous because the balance between fun and control is fragile they often underestimate how quickly emotions can override logic the best protection comes from awareness understanding how the brain reacts helps in building discipline setting clear limits before starting and treating every session as entertainment not as a source of excitement or income.

Playing daily has a higher chance to addiction.
It is the consistency of their vice that would label them as addicted.
For me addiction is when they couldn't control their own and wants to continue doing it, so I don't consider those who can control their self and do it seldomly as addicted to their vice.

Both can lead to addiction, especially if, for example, they view gambling as a way to earn money from the start. So, I believe that what makes someone addicted isn't how they approach gambling, but rather their goal in gambling. If, for example, their goal is to win, then you will certainly become addicted.

I have a friend who is quite an active gambler, but he isn't addicted because he can control his gambling activity and can stop whenever he wants. So far, gambling has never had a negative impact on his life. This means that even if someone is quite active in gambling, if they have the right understanding, I don't think they will become addicted.

Those who know how to control themselves will never become addicted, the most important thing here is to maintain control over themselves, what is uncontrolled and what is excessive is not good, those who are responsible and controlled will continue to gamble, they will gamble almost every weekend, When they are free, they will gamble with the amount they can afford to lose, but they will never become addicted. And that is why when you control yourself and gamble, it will not be a cause of addiction for you.

If their goal is to have fun, they'll also become addicted. It all depends on self-control. I even think many gamblers are addicted because they enjoy playing them.

As you said, someone who can control their finances doesn't have any negative impacts, and that's the way it should be. Gambling is just for fun. It's a big mistake if we can't control our gambling and it results in financial ruin.
I also have several friends who are able to manage their finances to maintain stability, and they consider gambling just for fun.

Which can be more addicting between the two: placing small bets every day or gambling only once or twice a year but doing so with huge amounts of money?
The issue of addiction depends on the type of gambling and how he views gambling. There are many gamblers who do not become addicted even after playing for a long time because they have the ability to maintain patience. Gamblers gain experience by betting small and increase their chances of winning because they do not take much risk. Trying to be consistent in betting can increase the amount of winning relatively. As a result, the possibility of addiction is less.

Some gamblers can also become addicted by betting large, but I think the possibility of addiction is very low. But betting large amounts and losing can make you excited and the possibility of addiction increases.

So what do you think gets someone more addicted?
Every gambler should gamble with the expectation of getting entertainment. The movement to gamble for income increases their expectation of winning, so the expectation of additional winning makes them addicted.

Both are addictive. Small bets, repeated and habitual, encourage a person to continually seek the thrill of betting, leading to dependency. Large bets, even if infrequent, can be addictive due to their emotional connection. The thrill of victory or the profound disappointment of defeat leave a strong psychological imprint. These extreme feelings trigger the urge to avenge losses or increase winnings. Addiction is how betting affects a person's brain and emotions. Small frequent bets can instill impulsive habits, while large infrequent bets have a strong emotional and psychological impact. Therefore, both can be addictive in different ways.

Both styles can have additive in my own opinion and this is the reason why I said so, when you engage in daily small bets it can hook you through some routines which can form a part for your daily lifestyle like checking your phone when you recieve any notification and so on. These kind of gambles controls your mood gradually until you come to realize how much it is influencing your lifestyle and by then you are already an addict.

As for those who gamble big once or few times a year can also get addicted to the rush thereby wanting to try such adventures again especially if by trying they eventually wins big. Although this type of addiction is very rare because only a few people probably get locked into the dopamine rush and would want to experience the same feeling again. It is like engaging in a one night stand with a lady and wishing to go back to such experience again either for the good and worse of it.

Gambling can be addicting when an individual engages in it everyday, using he/her last money in staking a bet frequently without winning, some people result to selling their properties in other to fund their accounts for bett
Gambling can be addictive, but the addiction doesn't just start one day; it's a gradual thing which grows as the gambler starts and fails to take self-control seriously, or they start gambling with the wrong mindset, which is gambling with the sole purpose of making profit all the time, or they just consider it as the only source of entertainment.

Gambling addiction is a process, it's easy to get addicted than to stop an addiction and a lot of people know when they start getting addicted but they just wallow in denial. It is possible to get addicted to gambling when it becomes your only source of entertainment. It is important to have other options asides from gambling so it doesn't become something you depend on at all times to have fun or lighten your mood

Since addiction can be gotten from once habit of gambling, I think you're right if you say continues gambling without setting your limit can cause addiction, when gamblers gamble  continuesly, they may continue losing and this continuous losing may lead gamblers to start thinking that they can actually recover everything they have lost which might give them the mind to gamble more and more in other to satisfy their curiosity which might likely result to addiction.
So I agree that anyone that has form the habit of gambling everyday might be addicted but mate there are people that have set limit for their daily gambling so no matter how much lose in daily once they reach their daily limit, they don't go about chasing what they know that's impossible to get, they retire for the day and start they next although it is not easy but people do it.

Addiction depends a lot on the reward cycle and speed of feedback. Fast-paced games or slots tend to trigger stronger dopamine hits than slower bets. That’s why bankroll limits and scheduled breaks help more than people realize.

Yes, I think there is a good relationship between the amount of the bet and the frequency of it.

The more and more frequently the person bets, the more they will be addicted to it.

It's similar to many other addictions, really.

Both can lead to gambling addiction but in different frequencies, placing bets every day can cause someone to become addicted because they have the opportunity to continue placing bets and get further trapped in unhealthy thought patterns or high dreams. Gambling with large amounts of money once or twice a year can also lead to addiction because it produces a stronger adrenaline rush due to the potential for large prizes to be won. Addiction can happen to anyone, even though the betting amounts and playing methods vary. Gamblers will experience psychological pressure to win bets and may feel unable to stop after losing continuously.

What you must know as a gambler Is that gambling is a  respected of no one, it doesn't really matters if you play with a smaller amount or with a larger amount all that really counts is how you can be able to manage your bankroll properly so that it  wouldn't keeps you coming back even when you have exceeded your limit and also set you on an unusual tension or pressure.

I can be placing smaller bet persistently and become addicted and also can I be staking larger amount at least twice or three times a year and also still get addiction why?

This are some reasons :
-when you start seeing or taking gambling to be job : you we keep chasing long-term lost and this the fastest track to gambling addiction.

-Greed : Never under estimate what greed is capable of doing, greed can blind your senses of reasoning and you will start doing things blindly without minding it repercussions.

-Channelling all your problems on gambling : When you don't what to hustle all you strive for is quick cash, you have channel all your family problems on gambling that alone is an express path to gambling addiction because you will keep on gambling without knowing your limit or when calling it a day.
