Bitcointalk is the first and biggest platform relating to bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general. It has real and active users who are willing to assist you with any information you need both in cryptocurrency and the general business world, free of charge. It is organized and cover anything you can think of and made up of people from various cultures, languages, and all parts of the world, and separated into local boards where you can identify with and share ideas. Through Bitcointalk, I have made many wonderful friends both in my country and many parts of the world. Why will I say that a platform that offer me this rare privilege is not relevant? Do you know how many companies that are running adverts in Bitcointalk? As a newbie, focus on learning about bitcoin rather than questioning the relevance of this platform.

When comparing quantity (number of posts), the forum loses its attractiveness^[1]. However, when comparing quality, the quality of posts varies between boards and the quality is still high in the technical and mining sections.

How long will it remain relevant? For as long as possible. Bitcointalk isn't just a platform that discusses about Bitcoin related threads but virtually every topic that affects humans and it stretches as far as involving those with creative skills. There are some platforms where you can showcase such skills but you may have to drop a little token if you want to participate, but that's not the case here.

I don't think Bitcointalk will ever become irrelevant, this forum is the OG. It will be the center of BTC discussion. As long as BTC remains relevant (of course), this forum will always be alive & well fueled by the community.

What motivates you to do so, given the many other sources of information on social media and platforms? Try answering this if you actually read the forum. After that, you'll have answered an obvious question that won't be answered elsewhere. People discuss cryptocurrency topics of interest here, and there's so much information that you won't find another place as convenient for understanding. If you read the forum yourself, you might also agree that it's great.

You may not know it yet, because I remember that it took me quite a while to know it when I was a newbie, but this forum was created by Satoshi himself, and I consider it to be not only benchmark for the quality of much of its content, but also living history of Bitcoin.

Answering your second question, how long it will stay alive is up to us, which I personally think it's a great responsibility. Knowing this, you are free to fly to more modern platforms and social media with feeds, algorithms and the like, or stay with us in this vintage, yet free space built by human beings like you, me and yes, SN.

There are a lot of developers and technical savvy here and I believe that's what makes this forum more relevant and important than a mere social media. Satoshi created this forum by himself and other bitcoin OGs contributed to the knowledge in this forum.

As long as bitcoin exist, this forum will always be relevant because that's the aim of creating this foeum since people will keep learning about bitcoin and adopting Bitcoin. When it comes to bitcoin investment and some area of bitcoin, you will get the best advice and direction here.

Welcome to the forum. To answer your first question about bitcointalk's relevance, the answer is yes. And this depends on what your needs are and what you are looking to learn. Some people come in here and see that the conversations here doesn't fit with what they are looking for and they leave to someplace else. So it depends on your goals and what you want to know.

I doubt that you will find something as useful as Bitcointalk forum out there.

You got any mining issues? You will get solutions here, both Bitcoin and altcoin mining, they got answer for everything.
Also this forum has everything to do with Bitcoin, this the OG forum where it all started, other forums are just trying to be better just as how many Bitcoin wannabes are released into the market in the past years and still fails.

There is nothing out there that offers accurate information like this forum, another side is crypto casinos, out there is full of lies about online casinos, the reputation on here won't let lies swing pass them, every online casinos on here are reliable than those out there avoiding this forum.

I don't know about you newbie but I would rather focus on this forum as my perfect information space than anything out there.

It's still relevant because Bitcointalk is the only place where you can interact, discuss, and gain access to a wealth of valuable knowledge that other platforms don't offer. If you've been on this forum for a while, I think you'll understand what I mean, so it's a good idea to familiarize yourself with it and try to actively participate in various threads and read discussions more often. I think you'll understand how important this forum is, even compared to other platforms that discuss cryptocurrency.

This forum is still relevant because it is the melting pot of all other crypto related platforms, it is historic as the central point for real and experience crypto discussion. So it still creates alot of traffic to investors as they need the presence of patronage for their business.

We have to consider that there are various economic activities going on here both in the service section and marketplace. So apart from signature campaign, both institutions and investors need one thing or the order to showcase for business and so will require individuals services.

No doubt the forum still has the best technology and with good speed of internet connectivity which is one factor many users still find the forum relevant.

As long as bitcoin exists, i am pretty sure this forum would be relevant. I understand that the younger generation prefer social media and modern platforms to forums, but as far as bitcoin is concerned, there is no better place to garner knowledge about it than bitcointalk.

Social media is full of scams and shit. I don't have any stats on this, but i think newbies who get their early information about bitcoin through social media are more likely to get scammed than people who started their journey in bitcointalk. One last thing, bitcointalk also gives its users an opportunity to earn some bitcoins whilst posting, so add that to what i have already said and you can come to a conclusion that the forum is going nowhere for the foreseeable future.

If you must know, Bitcointalk forum will remain relevant as long as Bitcoin remains relevant. Infact, this is the most relevant and most reliable crypto forum you can find anywhere. I once paid a visit to altcoinstalk forum and was not so much impressed with what I saw there. Here, there are real progressive discussions going on in almost every board. I consider this forum a safe place for bitcoin enthusiasts.

@OP, I don't know of the other crypto platforms you find relevant and have been getting updates from, but beware that getting updates from social media and random platforms can be misleading. Scams are rampant on the internet, so be careful of the crypto platforms you trust.

Yes it is, but in a different way compared to the early days when every new crypto thing was first announced here. Nowadays, bitcointalk have more of historical importance, where people can find posts from crypto OGs + tehnical boards are still quire relevant where people discusss some more advanced stuff that you will rarely see on other popular platforms.
