So if your emergency funds have been with you for a very long time and you don't even use them, look for a 90 percent less risk business that brings profit in a very short time and invest it there.
When you have an emergency and you have already used your emergency funds for your business you can simply borrow and since it is a business that profit you in a very short period you can balance up without it affecting you financially or your Bitcoin investment, remember I said look for 90 percent less risky business.
Think about this.
It may be true that it is better to use emergency funds for other businesses that can generate profits in a short period of time, but under certain conditions, there are almost no businesses with a risk of 90 percent that can generate profits in a short period of time.

If that is the case, I think it is better not to touch the money at all and just leave it as savings.
After all, if it is not touched, it will not cause any harm. That is my opinion.

Personally when using emergency funds I divert them to gold because I believe gold is a stable asset, even one that tends to appreciate over time. In my area people often use gold to save or maintain emergency funds because it's easy to sell and the price tends to be stable even rising. The point of an emergency fund is that we can access it at any time in an emergency, and the risk of loss is small.

There’s really no business that’s 90% safe and still gives quick profits if such existed everyone would be rich already emergency funds are meant for emergencies not investments because once you put that money into a business it’s no longer liquid and might not be available when you really need it.

Keeping it in something stable like gold or even a high yield savings account makes more sense since it keeps its value and is easy to access when needed inflation will always eat a little into savings but that’s better than losing the whole fund chasing a quick return. Using emergency money for business only works if you have solid experience and confidence in that business otherwise it’s safer to build separate investment capital over time and let your emergency fund stay untouched for its real purpose.

Diverting emergency funds and investing them in gold is a brilliant alternative when someone is unable to think about starting a business. Gold has a stable value and is unlikely to depreciate. Furthermore, holding gold makes it easier to sell when they need funds again.

If someone has business acumen, they certainly won't let their money sit idle, which can depreciate its value if held for long periods.

We all have our own ways of saving for emergencies and I believe the most effective way to save is in cash.
I wouldn't overthink this emergency fund, I think it only takes a small amount to cover emergencies and immediate cash needs, We can continue to save regularly without having to set a specific amount, and Money deposited in a bank can be used for many things, whether savings or other things and can be in large amounts, This can be two different things, it depends on us to manage our finances.

It’s not even advisable for some to hold funds for long periods of time without using them. What if something happens to those funds? In this case that is the reason why some of those people take their money into banks; in case they are in need of emergency funds, they will just go to their banks directly, but to me, if I have that kind of amounts money in the bank, I will divide it into two and take some part into business or investment’s and then leave the remaining one in the bank in case any emergency funds comes up, I will just use the one in the bank to solve the problem without touching the one I use for investment.
There are people that are not good in any investments, they prefer to keep it in the banks. But they will have to adjust with that later on after realizing that it's only devaluing because of inflation.

And those who keeps their money in the bank and they don't touch it for so long, they might face problem with it.

Because for most banks, they have the policy that you need to have some activities in your account like deposits or withdrawals. If you haven't done neither of the two, you'll be in trouble, the money you have saved there for not doing any activities and will be classified as dormant bank account.
Banks are the place where most of the people became poor because they always think that their money is safe but actually that is safe because your money is used by bank and they are using this money in stock market and they are showing the numbers on the screen but actually 90 percent of the money is not available in the bank and they are getting profits from the money. Emergency funds policy we have heard a lot of times but no that kind of policy is good.
People are aware of that kind of shady schemes because they did scams with the people in the past and now the trend is different and noe people have different path to withdraw money. Banks are not safe if you have a large amount of money and I will prefer BTC in that kind of situation.

As you said, everyone has their own financial management style. Investors have their own portfolios based on their investment criteria. However, an emergency fund serves as a buffer. If an investment experiences a loss, the funds can be used to cover three months of living expenses without having to sell the invested assets. This can prevent losses.

Because of what someone said in a thread concerning holding your emergency funds for long term without using it, that why not invest it on something that will bring profit for you in a short period, I commented on that post and it is very important I create a thread about it here because I feel it is something of importance to Bitcoin investors.
I have an emergency funds that has been on my account for some time now and I have not touched it and the bank is taking their changes from the emergency funds, I have already decided to start lending the emergency funds out and then when those that borrowed it are paying back they are paying with interest and in other to protect my money if I'm lending you the money you most drop a sellable property that is worth that money or even worth more of that money that I can sell and recover my money when the date of repayment expires.
Because keeping my emergency funds in a bank that will be deducting my money or in the name of bank charges is something that does not make sense to me.
Some people will ask what if an emergency happens immediately I borrow out my emergency funds how will I solve it, well I will simply borrow and solve it then when I get my money back I balance things up.

I don't recommend using your emergency fund for business simply because there isn't an emergency yet, for you to have an emergency fund somewhere it means that you have other investments and money that you have too and even if you don't have any other thing going for you that emergency fund shouldn't be touched for any reason because it is for emergency and it should stay that way. Your emergency fund is your insurance money and emergency can come up anytime you never expect and you wouldn't want to be helpless when it happens. If you don't like the fact that the bank is taking their percentage from your money you can keep it in cash in a safe place.

Many does this, they want to start a business and they don't know where to gather their funds.
And so, they result in using their emergency funds which creates two risks.
One is about losing that emergency funds that's specific for its use.
Second, about the potential losing of that fund because a starter is most likely to fail with their first try in doing business.

I think it is reasonable to limit the size of the emergency fund to only three months. Although this would be a large amount for those investors with limited income. I mainly feel the need to increase the size of the emergency fund so that if the emergency situation persists for a longer period more time will be available for taking care of the family. Some may emphasize keeping a larger reserve fund because this fund can contribute to aggressive buying for investors during price declines. In my opinion every investor has his own financial management practices that he can implement to protect his long term investments and increase his holdings over time.

This all depends on the individual's skill in using emergency funds to generate additional income. If you feel you lack the skills or are unsure about the opportunity, it's best not to use the money. While there's no risk of loss, inflation is inevitable.

I agree with you, if you keep your money sitting around for a long time, it will only lose its value over time, so it would be better to just keep your money in gold. Because gold has long been known as a safe asset, it is not very volatile, so it can be considered a stable investment, and at the same time it can be called a risk-free investment, so it is a very right decision to keep your money in gold instead of letting it sit idle.

Most of the money that people take to banks to save they don’t know that the banks manager use that same money to run a business on their own and take the profits to their pockets, and if we observe some times the banks will take all the network and they will be telling the customers that there’s network issues whereby they take the network intentionally. Banks is not a place that we can said is more safe than anythings since is not that the banks will give profits anytime I need my money, I will rather take my money to business or use some Buy bitcoin and hold for a long period of time.

Emergency funds cannot be allocated anywhere except for emergency matters as planned from the start because the function of emergency funds is actually to provide financial protection from unexpected expenses such as medical costs or other things that are considered very important and also with the existence of emergency funds does not interfere with investments and businesses when critical times require money so that this is a fund that is not touched by plans especially for building a business, I really do not recommend that because there is no business without risk and there is also no business that guarantees that it will be as soon as possible when it needs cash.

You're actually right. For emergency savings, it's important that the funds stay in fiat and in your bank account or any account where they are readily accessible, because emergencies don't inform you before coming, so when you face an emergency situation, you should be able to use that money. Some people say we should save money in cryptocurrencies, or gold, but that's not the right way to do it, because both cryptocurrencies and gold are unstable assets, their values keep going up and down, so if the price of the asset you have is down at the time of an emergency, you won't be able to sell it because in that case, you will lose money.

So, anyone sane enough to understand this simple thing will never keep emergency funds in unstable assets, or invest it somewhere, because those funds are not supposed to be invested since you might need them at any time, and funds that you invest cannot be accessible at all times. That's why, everyone should have some funds saved for emergencies, and those funds should be kept in liquid assets, like cash or credit, that can be used at any time without any delays or problems.

Gold is fine and if the investor is conservative, they'd choose gold over bitcoin. No doubt that it's been there since the ancient times and that's why many nations prefer it as their reserve for their economy. But don't say that it's a 'risk-free' investment because even if the chart of it shows that it's growing over the period of time, it's possible still that there could be some dramatical dumps that no one has ever expected.

That's right, as the title suggests: "emergency fund." Emergency funds are designed to address life's financial challenges. So, as long as you live, you should always have an emergency fund, and you should always set it aside because we never know what life will bring. And the emergency fund you build will grow larger in the long run. And if you're using your emergency fund for a business, you should consider what would happen if your business fails or doesn't meet expectations and you regret it.
It's best not to use your emergency fund for things that aren't guaranteed to succeed. And if you want to build a business, it's better to use other funds.

If you want to hold an emergency fund then obviously you shouldn’t hold it in a bank. In some countries it’s more likely than others that you may have trouble withdrawing your funds in an emergency but even First World. Countries have withdrawal limits & red tape to access your funds. Keep it in cash & or Bitcoin. You should be the only person who can access that money.
there are some places where you keep your emergency fund but you will not have access to make use of it immediately you needed it, so it will be better for you to have a physical cash on your desk so that whenever they attention of a emergency money is being needed it will not waste you time to have access to it, so many of us today cannot Trust Bank and we can also not trust Bitcoin because sometimes network can make or can cause a delay for the process of withdrawing in the bank and also through a bitcoin.

Emergency funds is only strong if you have something you are doing otherwise you might be convincing yourself of not going to use it until the point of no option take place, if you have $4k and in your emergency funds you only have $500 and meanwhile you don't have a job but you have some responsibility that took your finance everyday you might not stay for four months without exhausting the $4k and what the do you think the person will do as there next move after knowing that they have no way to get money without a job or business?, the emergency will also face the consumption so actually the  best emergency utilization from people are the ones who will not run to emergency because of hard time.

Diverting emergency funds and investing them in gold is a brilliant alternative when someone is unable to think about starting a business. Gold has a stable value and is unlikely to depreciate. Furthermore, holding gold makes it easier to sell when they need funds again.

Gold is low volatility, but not completely stable. Historically, gold prices have fallen 30-50% many times, most recently in 2022, gold prices fell more than 22% from 3/2022 to 11/2022. Or before that, it also fell more than 45% from 2011 to 2015 when the economy entered a growth phase, causing demand for safe assets to decrease.
So converting your emergency fund to gold may not be as wise an idea as you think.

If someone has business acumen, they certainly won't let their money sit idle, which can depreciate its value if held for long periods.

You don't really understand the purpose of an emergency fund. Once called an emergency fund, it is to be used only in case of emergency, and not for any other reason.

Even entrepreneurs and billionaires always have an emergency fund and it is always in cash or in the bank. Just because they have a business mindset doesn't mean they don't hold and need fiat like you think.
Because they understand the concept of emergency funds very well, and there are many ways to make money, to deal with inflation.

-snip-
This all depends on the individual's skill in using emergency funds to generate additional income. If you feel you lack the skills or are unsure about the opportunity, it's best not to use the money. While there's no risk of loss, inflation is inevitable.

So you don't want to use your emergency fund as the OP suggests, right? Looking for a business with 90% lower risk and the ability to generate profits quickly is the option the OP offers.
My question to you is, is there a business with 90% lower risk and the ability to generate profits quickly?

Diverting idle emergency funds to gold? Yes, and I don't keep my emergency fund in cash at all, but in gold.
The first thing I think about when using gold as an emergency fund is that people trust us when we ask for a loan with gold as collateral. This context doesn't include selling.
