Current exchange rate across exchanges and the parallel market.
Bybit is giving us $1 equal to ₦1394 and bitget is $1 is equal to ₦1383 and from here you can see that bybit is higher than bitget. Last week di price been dey $1 to ₦1397 and I been dey think say di price go go up this week and before this year go end e go hit $1 = ₦1400 but e dey come down now. If Tinubu wins next election, una go see weti go happen to naira.
Your observation makes sense. Exchange rates can differ slightly across P2P platforms because prices are driven by supply and demand, so it's normal for Bybit to trade above Bitget on some days and below it on others.
As for the naira reaching ₦1,400/$1 before year-end, nobody can predict that with certainty. The exchange rate will depend on factors like inflation, foreign exchange supply, oil revenue, Central Bank policies, and investor confidence, not just politics. Likewise, saying the naira will definitely perform worse if a particular candidate wins is speculation rather than a certainty. The market can change quickly, so it's always better to follow the trend based on data instead of relying solely on predictions.
I'm with you here. Because each market place caters to its own base of buyers, sellers, availability of funds and popular payment methods, there are indeed slight exchange rate differences between P2P platforms. Small differences don't constitute trends - in most cases this is purely a market phenomenon.
I, like you, would rather avoid making concrete exchange rate predictions for the future.
There are too many economic/political factors affecting the valuation of currencies. Monitoring hard facts, and not predictions-based actions, always leads me to making sounder financial decisions.
