Nobody was born as an expert in bitcoin investment. We all started from the crash amd learned along side with practical. It's not compulsory for you to be buying weekly/monthly when you don't have the regular discretionary income. You can buy once in a while when your funds is available and hodli. Buying Bitcoin isn't enough, you need to choose the right time to start buying, and the hardest part is knowing when to sell. Even if we take the current cycle, I'm sure there are many who couldn't spot the peak and then didn't sell because the price started falling.
