The forum is a bitcoin forum, specifically for bitcoin discussion. There are other boards too which anyone can find where it's best suitable for them.

Since your brother is an engineer, he might also be into other things if it's just to market his career. We have the service board where anyone can present what they have to offer, but if he's not interested in learning about crypto the forum might be w boring place for him.

There's no board that is dedicated to discussions about mechanical engineering, but if you have a question that is related to mechanical engineering, off topic or beginners and help board can be a place to ask the question, depending on what the question is about, it can fit on the off topic or beginners board.

To answer your question, there's no section dedicated to engineering here but one with such knowledge in engineering can find their way around tech and therefore should know how to apply such in this industry. Just to clear things up, the forum isn’t some kind of market or gallery where you can display what have you, although you get these opportunities but, it’s more of a place where you can share ideas and learn.

You have an art for sale, you could try marketing that at the goods and services or the collectibles section of the forum if anyone should be interested in your art piece. Since you can post pictures, you could still upload the image link and have ranked users quote it for visibility.

The one way to better understand the forum is reading a lot more and posting less until you have grasp how the forum works and posting only when you’ve got valid ideas to contribute.

OP you're asking a question about the forum in your title but you're saying something entirely different from that context, what are you upto, this forum is meant for bitcoin discussions, know that any other discussions are possible at their designated board, but whatever relationship, talk or deal you have with any member of this forum is at your own risk, because the forum will not be liable for that, for sure there are benefits of meeting up with people, but you have to know whom to trust and not.
