Governments always want to have records of your financial obligations

So I brought this interesting topic about a 17 yr old young man bought 14,000 hectares of land which should be equivalent to 311 pieces of lands in Edo state Nigeria and the government of the state has become concerned to know the source of income of the young man following an executive order to withhold the signing of of the Certificate of Ownership (C of O) until investigations is executed. The governor of the state has also sighted a probe of money laundering on the same vein.

Indeed the awareness of the young mans achievement really caused sparks that could be erupt public pondering in regard of his age but come to think of it, does the age tag worth the only reason why the government would take such stance? If the authorities mean to be fair then the politicians and the influential people in the societies with their luxuries in home and abroad should also be considered.

Infact I would either cast no stone to anyone on drawing to conclusions but I just wanted us to understand the reason why government will never encourage decentlized digital assets as Bitcoin or crypto currencies is because they only want you to invest or hold values that they can take control.
Well... Let us take this as lack of financial freedom and financial insecurity whereas, the governments will want to intrude into your privacy. This has also imply that we can own stashes of Bitcoin portfolio While spending them will be another difficult challenge because the governments does not want you to be financially free.

To me I don't see anything wrong In the government asking him about the source of his income. Any government of a country should be able to keep account of the on goings as such kind of wealth draw attention..

If the young man is able to prove his source of income( which we know very well he won't) then he will be allowed to go on with his life.

There's nothing wrong in accumulating such kind of  property but someone who knows his wealth isn't genuine should be smart enough to keep a very low profile. No one has to see you, but there's something with these fraudsters and that's they want the world to know about them.

He could have accumulated separate lands all over his state and establish them. Everyone of them would bring him different amount of return depending on the location..

In Nigeria now, politicians are above the law based on the governments mode of operation so talking about considering them to be investigated its a waste of time because such can never happen except he fans out of favour.
At times the Nigerians government are always interested in frustrating the efforts of young Nigerians when they never made any provision for the citizens of the country Nigeria. I know there are some money that deserves scrutiny but it should be done to both the politicians and influential people also and not only young citizens

You already know how things work in Nigeria here. The security operatives see every young guy who is doing well for himself as a fraudster, and this mentality has eaten deep in our government. I don't blame them sha because if it were to be a country that has a working system who would have cared about your source of income except you are a suspected scammer. The government have left those who are actually making money through illegal and fraudulent way. The only way is to be very careful as a young guy, it is better to just make money and avoid buying expensive things that will lead to questioning of one's source of income.

There's nothing wrong in waiting to know the source of income of that young Boy and there is no cause for alarm is the Young Boy is into a legit business, a young boy of 17 acquiring such hectares of land needs to be questioned on how he got such amount, so they are totally not out of place for wanting to know, we know the system and most of the Youths are into fraud and kidnapping.  Is it ritual I will talk about?,  the Youths are desperate to make money and they can do anything humanly possible to make that money.

If as a young Boy and you are privileged to have made so much money and you don't want the government to probe you and asking you questions about your source of income, all you need do is to mellow down and avoid buying expensive properties for the time being, everyone sees a Young Man doing well as a fraudster so with that mentality once you acquire anything you are liable to be questioned by the Authorities.

Sure the government doesn't want anyone to be financially free ,they want to control you and also control everything in life about you ,but this judgement against the young man is totally wrong ,how on earth will the hold his certificate of the land just to know how he gets his money,what I even noticed the government is not even in support of Bitcoin,they want people doing Bitcoin to be under them but that will not happen,that's why me my self I don't give concern on government and what do ever they are doing,but I wouldn't like them to match my toes,let them enjoy their government money and let the poor to breath.

I don’t see anything wrong with the government asking him we’re the money come from when someone suddenly starts displaying that level of wealth it is only normal for question to come up any responsibile government should be able keep track of thing like that.
However if he can truly prove the source of his income then fine he should be allowed to live his life peacefully but let’s be real most times that proof is not there.
There nothing bad about being wealthy or owning properties the issue is that if you know your money is not clean the smart move is to stay low key you don’t have to be everywhere or make noise one thing about fraudsters is that they alway want attention and validation.
