So I will delete and unstill my current bitcoinCORE version and install https://bitcoincore.org/en/releases/27.0/ and then collect all the block.
Yes but uninstalling Bitcoin Core wont delete its datadir, just the install directory, it has to be manually deleted from your local/roaming appdata folder..
And also, do not enable its "Prune Block Storage" setting to any value because Armory wont work with it enabled.

Quote from: Heavenforanimals
And I will start the 27.0 version without xor'ing blocks.
Is that an box I just can leave empty or do I need to give an command before installing?
For v27, launching it with the default options should do, that's only a requirement if you're using v28.

Thank you for the extra information. And if I want to change the directory of the map, should I then do this in the console of the node of the bitcoin core wallet?
Do you mean the --choosedatadir arg?
It's a command line arg so it should be set in your terminal (PowerShell/cmd) or a shortcut to bitcoin-qt's parameter in "Target" field.
However, goatpig's remark is true, specially if you can confirm that you're using Bitcoin Core v28~v30
and your bitcoin datadir is just created by any those versions, not updated from an older version.

In that case, you'll actually need to delete your current bitcoin/blocks folder
Then sync using using Bitcoin Core v27.x (recommended for other compatibility reasons) or start your current version with --blocksxor=0 arg before syncing again.
Then after that, you'll have to deal with setting up Armory.

If that's too much, you can export your private keys and import it elsewhere.
The provided tutorial to do that should work, if not, double-check if you missed something.

Hello Nc50lc and Goatpig,

So I deleted my bitcoin core version and all the blocks and installed bitcoin core v27x and sync all the blocks.
I saved bitcoin core 27 both in program files 86 and restarted both. Started bitcoin core v27 and after that I started armoryqt.
Sadly again nothing happend. So I checked the settings and filled this is now:
Bitcoin home dir: C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\blocks
Armory database: C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Armory\databases

Restarted ArmoryQT and again nothing happend. So i uninstalled Armory QT (I was not able to delete the armoryqt because the system said the file was working on the background) and downloaded and installed the newest ArmoryQT 0.96.5. and gave it the name ''armory new'', this because I could not install the armoryDB in the 'armory map' because then I would be two.

So after this I started ArmoryQT, bitcoin core 27 was allready online, and again nothing happend.

What shall/can I do next?

I also just used the command in CMD:
C:\Users\(username)>ArmoryDB.exe --satoshi-datadir=C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\blocks
'ArmoryDB.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

But as you can see nothing happend.

ArmoryDB.exe will be in your install dir, but you're looking for it in your datadir instead.

Code:
C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Armory
/\                                                                                                                                        /\
 | This is your Armory datadir, this is where your wallets and database data is saved   |

 | This is the default install dir for Armory on Windows. |
\/                                                                                      \/
Code:
C:\program files (x86)\BitcoinArmory

Thanks and got it. I used the following command:

C:\Users\(username)>ArmoryDB.exe --satoshi-datadir=C:\Program Files (x86)\Armory nieuw

And then it failed:
Acces denied, my pc can't open the file ''ask the developer if there is a newer version of the software''

That's the only output I got.

Have you seen this before?

If you're uninstalling or deleting Armory, check your Task manager first for running "armorydb.exe" and/or "armoryqt.exe" under background processes.
And if any of those are there, use "End task" to force them to close so that you can reinstall or delete the file.

I recommend you to reinstall it properly since your last update attempt seem to have done while Armory is running in the background.

Then do this to start Armory:
  • Open your Windows Explorer (file manager) and tick the setting: "View->Show->File Name Extensions"

  • Go to: 'C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Armory' and create a new text file and rename it from "New Text Document.txt" into "armoryqt.conf".
(make sure that the setting above is ticked or you'll miss the '.txt' extension and you might rename it into "armoryqt.conf.txt" that will not be read by Armory)

  • Open that conf file 'as text' and put the line: satoshi-datadir="<bitcoin core datadir>" pointing to your Bitcoin Core's datadir without the <>.
Double-check the path where bitcoin datadir is located because you somehow used a weird path of "...\Roaming\blocks" while normally, Bitcoin Core use "bitcoin" as its datadir.
To do that, open Bitcoin Core (GUI) and open the 'Information' window in "Window->Information" menu, "Datadir" should be displayed there.

  • For the executable, if you installed Bitcoin Core in 'C:\Program Files\Bitcoin', Armory should automatically find bitcoind in it, else, set "Bitcoin Install Dir" in Armory's "File->Settings".

  • After that, you should be ready to launch ArmoryQT by simply double-clicking the executable or shortcut.

Hello nc50lc,

I followed all your steps and it worked. I wanna thank you and Goatpig for all your help, effort and patience. I learned a lot during this process and that is great.

Have a good day!
