Corruption in politics today is beyond imagination, imagine we claim to be independent and our politicians are still ruling like military rule. Recently I read on social media when citizen critised one Governor for spending lavishly, the next thing we saw is those youths have been arrested due to cybercrime, what we failed to understand now is that they turned the citizens as illetrate, cybercrime is different from critised, they were looking for crime to label him with and see nothing rather to be addressed has cybercrime.

No more freedom of speech anymore, they always wanted to be praise even if they are wrong rather to be critise. Another corruption that is commonly in politics today is that if you are not in ruling party your allocation will be less than that of ruling party.
Well the part you made mentioned of freedom of speech I just smiled because in Nigeria not like freedom of expression corruptions has really played a big role in the community that it hard to even step bold to say our mind and that is a very bad thing that can happen to us as the people having not to say anything with fear, well I think in my community a man was try to take the bold step on trying to tell the local chairman about some issues that was caused by him and could you believe that the man was later killed in his house for just taking the bold step on trying to speak his mind now this was a lesson that was passed to the general public on how to speak…

Nigeria politics is one of the worst political game that its understanding language is corruption, corruption is to Nigeria politics as children is to marriage. The Nigeria political structure is built and controlled by corruption making it difficult for credibility, accounting and uprightness to exist among our so called leaders. Not that corruption is an attribute of politics, but the leaders in Nigeria has made corruption the official language which they can understand that is the main reason Nigeria is getting backward even with the presence of all the free gift from God.

and every day it is getting worse since I know there is no single Nigerian here who will say things are getting right, if you claim things are getting right then the first question will be on what basis do you think things are getting right looking at the way the economy is unstable, inflation in fuel and other commodities, lack of accountability in the system the government appointing whoever they want to control the resources of the people without having to worry about the interest of the people. I believe Nigerian leaders are not patriotic and are just interested in their personal interests.

Those who will say that things are getting right in the country are those who are benefiting from the Government, there are people who will tell you now that Tinubu government is good this is because they achieve more from the bad governance. Politics in Nigeria is all about personal interest they don't care if other people are comfortable or not, i don't know when we can get right in the country because it will be difficult for a good person to be the president of Nigeria.

I see politics in Nigeria as a high-stake, dirty, useless, brutal, corrupt game marked by intense competition, often accompanied by violence, corruption and insecurity.

The country's electoral process has been marred by manipulations, religious tensions, ethnic tensions, which has led to a climate of fear and mistrust among citizens.

The game also weakens our national institutions such as the judiciary, INEC, the security agencies, education etc.

The game also influence and encourage embezzlement, greed and selfishness. It also encourages clannishness, nepotism and cronyism. What this means is that, whoever gets to the top, he/she would want to empower someone from his/her clan (clannishness), or friends/relatives (nepotism), or friends/relatives without regards for their qualifications (cronyism). That's the Nigeria we're in and it's killing the country.
What do you expect? For politicians to fold their hands and do nothing during elections? Gone are those days where elections are won with free and fair process. Currently, there are quite different settings when we're talking about politics and how power is been manage and controlled.

Know something, corruption didn't start today in politics, it have always been in the roots of politics. The difference today is simple, it escalates and generally practiced with the offenders going scortfree without any punishment. In today's politics, politicians dirty their hands and don't expect anything or judgement from anywhere, you know why? Because they're the law and bigger than the rule of law in the country, that's to show you bad and worse the system have become.

Politics in Nigeria is a very dirty game. I still don't understand these politicians, they already have billions in their accounts but they still want more money. The main sources of corruption in Nigeria is MONEY, then we can say POWER. Most of these old folks who are at their past glory feels it's their right to lead as if it's their birth right. Every sector in the governmental system is very corrupt, even the so called EFCC too. Those guys knows how to arrest and investigate poor people. But when it reach the time to investigate those top political leaders they keep mute. I don't just know what can save Nigeria and if you feel one of those candidates coming out in 2027 will be righteous, then you are wrong.

Exactly, it actually difficult to dictate the good ones from the bad ones. And it is very hard to judge because of what we've been experiencing since Goodluck Jonathan, regime. Then we were experiencing some challenges and facing some difficulties thinking that everything is gonna be okay, by electing late former president Muhammadu buhari. But the situation only get worse and how now it's a different story. These make me understand the actual meaning of the "the devil you've know is far better than the angel you've not meet". So I think the best we need now is prayer, because currently we don't know who to trust or the best and perfect person for the position.
