Who am I to judge them for using huge money to gamble? That is not make sense because that is their money and that will be up to them how much money they will use. Their losses will not be our responsibility so let them take the risks if they can afford that.

The saying about only betting what you're willing to lose is important to all gamblers so they only risk the amount they can afford. If they have too much money but can accept the risk, they are free to do that. We can not do anything but we can suggest that they think twice before they decide to use those huge amounts.

As long as they are not harming anyone, that's their prerogative to gamble. Because it is their money, so it is up to them how they will manage their funds on their gambling activities. It is not your business to worry about their financial affairs. Worry your own financial troubles.
I once spent a lot of money gambling in just one night because the loss of self-control made me do it. Previously, my friend had tried to advise me to stop, but I didn't listen, which ultimately only made me lose a lot of money. From then on, I realized that my behavior was excessive, and now it's no longer like that. In fact, now I have a friend like that, sometimes I advise him too, even occasionally I tell him firmly to stop gambling because since he got addicted, his shop is always closed because many items are out of stock. I understand that gambling is basically better to use your own money and if it doesn't harm others, then do it, but it's also good to listen to other people's advice.

This means that before we criticize others, we should evaluate how we treat gambling. We fear, as you said, that our approach to gambling might be far worse than the gamblers we criticize.

Gambling moderately and responsibly, including not chasing losses, might be a good indicator that we are treating gambling correctly.
Its positive impact could save a significant portion of our lives.

As long as they are not harming anyone, that's their prerogative to gamble. Because it is their money, so it is up to them how they will manage their funds on their gambling activities. It is not your business to worry about their financial affairs. Worry your own financial troubles.

It's as simple as that. I sometimes feel reluctant to interfere in other people's affairs, but sometimes a sense of concern always arises suddenly, especially when I see those who gamble recklessly without any bankroll control.

But the truth is, no matter how hard we try to advise them, they often don't listen and even criticize them back, especially when they become addicted. So I often let them be, especially some of my fellow gamblers. As you said, the important thing is that they don't harm others, including us.

The true meaning of responsible gambling is pretty simple, only bet what you’re willing to lose.
You are wrong about this!

You can be a reckless gambler, and this recklessness could push you to gamble with the amount you are still unreasonably willing to lose. That willingness doesn't make it responsible, it is just your affinity to risk-taking, which could be interpreted as either recklessness or responsibility.

Perhaps you wanted to quote the popular saying that "you should risk only the amount you can afford to lose." The affordability in that shouldn't be mistaken for the willingness in yours.

Quote
whether that’s $5 or $5,000, as long as losing it won’t mess up your life or finances, then it’s still within your limits. So instead of questioning how much someone spends when they gamble, maybe it’s better to remind people to stay in control, play within their means, and know when to walk away.
Let the equation judge it. If you are a very rich gambler, gambling with $5,000 or more per wager may be nothing to you. What is out of senses is for gamblers to stress out their finances in the name of gambling.

Yeah, most of the time, the reason why some people resort to judging how others spend their money on gambling is often as a result of their ignorance about the fact that everyone has their own various individual financial positions, risk tolerance and goals. What you might be considering as a huge amount and too big to be lost in gambling could the what the next person can actually afford to lose, and when they lose it, you get the wrong impression and start being judgmental.

That is the reason why it is so difficult to generalize things , for some an amount may be little while for others it is too much, then these things are what influence , so roughly speaking, situation X should be explained in advance so that it can be totally adaptable and digestible for everyone.

You are correct we shouldn't judge gamblers that uses amounts that are outrageous to us to gamble, we can think that they are foolish, not considering that the amount can be nothing to them. As you are judging a gambler that uses amount that is too big for you to gamble, somebody that you are richer than can be thinking the same thing about you. It's like seeing a celebrity that bought a wristwatch with an amount that can change your life and you begin to wonder if their own is showing a different time zone, meanwhile somebody is thinking that your modest watch is too expensive. What matters is if somebody is gambling with amount that they can afford to loose, emphasy shouldn't be on the amount.

That's the real stuff that settles it all, if want you lost can't get you ruined financially or keep you  coming back for more with the aim of chasing your lost then you are cool. Moreover , all shoes are not equal every body with their differs financial strength, what seems huge to mrs Peter can be peanut to mrs Paul so it's just depends on how buoyant financially you're at that point.

However, In my opinion criticizing someone just because he stakes some fat funds makes no sense to me because that is his life and also his funds perhaps he has every right to do what pleases him with his money, the least you can do as a friend is to  remind the folks in question to stay conscious of his limits and nothing more if his wise enough he will endeavor to do what is right for his own safety.

We shouldn’t be too quick to judge people who gamble huge amounts of money we’re not in their shoes. Some players might be high rollers because they can actually afford it, or it’s just part of their lifestyle or business risk appetite.

Yes, it is foolish to compare yourself with those who actually gamble with large amounts of money. because we will use the money we can afford, what we can afford to lose, losing which will not put additional financial pressure on ourselves, it is very wise to use that money. To survive consistently gambling for a long time, you need to gamble within your means and control your emotions and greed, take time after losing or winning, follow your own research instead of following the style of playing of others, as a result of which your mental stress is reduced, so you can gamble with a cool head and control yourself and enjoy the fun of gambling.

oh god it depends
If i earned $100,000 a month and spent $10,000 of it on gambling, it wouldn't be much.
In my opinion it's not the absolute value but the value relative to the earnings you have
earning all that amount he could surely spend more without changing his lifestyle

yep, we don't need to say anything about his gambling activity, he used his own money he work for him self and family, if he deciding to use 50% for his money, its not our business. Of course it can be say uncontrolled gambler, he know the risk of his decision. So, just see what happen with him and give an advice if he need. otherwise, let him gamble with anything he have.

I don't have money and resources to gamble like the way other people do. I thought we all agreed to gamble the amount we can afford to lose. If that's what other gamblers can afford, I believe that's their loss and all good. If they win, that's their money and if their lose it's their loss, it has nothing to do with me same way my money my profit and my loss. Anyone that is making decisions based on what other gamblers are doing don't like their lifestyle.

If there is any person I will not follow when it come to gambling, it's going to be influencer. Some of them were once nobody and by that I mean they have nothing much but gambling makes them good moneg to have a brand. Sometimes you see these people show some things, you think they have all that but nope, they have nothing. It's influenced money from casino and some other companies they show off, some of their bets are from free bonuses casino gives them.

We shouldn’t be too quick to judge people who gamble huge amounts of money we’re not in their shoes. Some players might be high rollers because they can actually afford it, or it’s just part of their lifestyle or business risk appetite.

The true meaning of responsible gambling is pretty simple, only bet what you’re willing to lose. whether that’s $5 or $5,000, as long as losing it won’t mess up your life or finances, then it’s still within your limits. So instead of questioning how much someone spends when they gamble, maybe it’s better to remind people to stay in control, play within their means, and know when to walk away.

I agree, because someone like Drake wouldn't bet just $10 on a sports bet, considering his net worth.

However, the most important thing is not only to not judge, but also to avoid copying what other players do.
If they win big by betting big and we become tempted even though we can't afford to lose that much money, that's dangerous.
We don't know what they're going through, so don't try to be like other gamblers.

Does the title go with the content, actually?

I thought you would say, 'Do not judge someone just because they gamble a lot.' There is a possibility that they are not wealthy in real life, but they are risking a huge amount of money in gambling. I agree with you that people should not gamble the amount that they cannot afford to lose, actually. But most newbie gamblers actually think they can beat the house edge easily, so they make big deposits and try hard to win some money.

The reality is, house always win in the long run. Every gamblers should set their gambling limit before they start the session. No one should exceed the limit, or they will end up losing an amount that they cannot afford to lose.

However, In my opinion criticizing someone just because he stakes some fat funds makes no sense to me because that is his life and also his funds perhaps he has every right to do what pleases him with his money, the least you can do as a friend is to  remind the folks in question to stay conscious of his limits and nothing more if his wise enough he will endeavor to do what is right for his own safety.

yep, we don't need to say anything about his gambling activity, he used his own money he work for him self and family, if he deciding to use 50% for his money, its not our business. Of course it can be say uncontrolled gambler, he know the risk of his decision. So, just see what happen with him and give an advice if he need. otherwise, let him gamble with anything he have.
Their life is their choice. We have no right to influence their decision, even if it were our friend or our relatives. Let us make them grow old and find their mistakes (if they saw them). Telling their wrongdoings doesn't help them either. We look and feel perfect in their minds.

That's it, let them do what they want in life and with their money. Besides, whatever happens to them, they are also the ones who suffer. At least, they can't blame us for not guiding.

Honestly, most of us know our mistakes when everything is ruined already.

The reasons why each of us gambles differ from one another, so it would be unlawful for us to judge others based on our personal discretion, without knowing why they are making such gambling decisions for themselves. At the same time, for the gamblers, if you want to stake big, ensure that you're ready to take it big also, if you win or lose.

Yes, you know that size of bet is not the issue to a person who bets as long as he is able to bet an amount that they can afford to lose and is able to control themselves. The responsible gambling is where it does not affect the person in a negative way and whereby when they gamble they wager sum of money that they are ready to lose. According to me, that is what responsible gambling is as long as the gambling is done as an entertainment, not to make profits, and does not interfere with other areas of life e.g. finances, feelings and even relationships.

We shouldn’t be too quick to judge people who gamble huge amounts of money we’re not in their shoes. Some players might be high rollers because they can actually afford it, or it’s just part of their lifestyle or business risk appetite.

An individual specifications on gambling depends on his/her bankroll so it's what determines if they should gamble big or small so there's absolutely no need for being judged or trolled by that. It's just seems like looking down on someone who can't make use of cutleries in public and the more reason it's said to never judge a book by its cover cause you can't really tell of the outcome. So if you're able to gamble high or low it's what you can afford to lose.

Exactly, people normally are suppose to gamble based on how their pocket is or based on what is in their pocket but nowadays some abuse it, they gamble beyond what is in their pocket and later they are frustrated. And the reason for this particular habit is selfishness and greed, some want to make money or turn millionaire overnight and over a single bet and it can happen but it is luck.there is something a friend of mine always do whenever he is gambling or betting, he always use a little money to gamble if his pocket is not huge in that particular day or point in time but when his pocket heavy he will play heavily and I think that is how we should gamble, according to our pocket not necessarily our income.

Better to be silent than to comment? As long as he is capable even if his salary runs out for gambling, it is not our business, it is better to give advice when he is in a good mood otherwise he will not accept your advice.
But I prefer not to interfere with this because no matter how we gamble then there are people who advise it is not happy even though they know I gamble with strict limits.

I know of this for sure, that some gamblers can be envious, they have to just do that maybe because they couldn't achieve having the same results or take the same risk others are taking, but in reality, we have to accept our fate and work by what is good for us and not be moved by other's decisions in gambling, because the way we all can take risk are different from each other.

Surely I have no business if one is gambling big or not so Long as I'm not the one providing the money for them, if it is someone who is very close to me I would only advice him to reduce the stake or ask him if the amount he's going with is really what he can afford to loss? If he Says yes then, I will just let him be. However most of the gamblers that go with huge amount is not addicted rather they just feel that going with huge amount of money is suitable for them than going with smaller amount more especially those who are wealthy, most of the wealthy people who are into gambling like doing their thing in a big way so we can't really judge them because they are used to doing their things in a big way.
