Honestly, those things are not going to happen in real life. I could be wrong, but most gamblers never consider their income as the basis of their spending habit. They are more focused on what they have in their pocket and put it all in rather than thinking about how much they are allowed to bet based on their monthly income.
I could still bet low and risk a small amount of money, but I know I can't follow those steps that OP had mentioned.
My gambling expenses vary in some factors. If I have extra money and feel lucky, I spend more. But if not, I don't push myself to gamble. I'm more disciplined now, unlike before.

Dude,,, I see that here it is even stricter than mine, because I personally thought that gambling below 5% is the lowest risk zone, in this case, if someone gambles with a separate budget below 5% of their monthly income, I thought that they should not have any financial problems.
I think it all depends how often we gamble because there are some set of gamblers that like gambling almost every day now imagine if they're gambling with 5% of thier monthly income everyday, I'm sure that it would definitely effect them financially. But those that gamble once a while or twice may not be affected because there are some gamblers that only gambler 1-2 times a month so in a month their gambling expensive will be 10% of their monthly income which they still have 90% . But in my opinion I don't buy this idea of gambling with 5% of our monthly income even though it will not have any financial problem yet I'm not comfortable with it.

So how do you play as a low risk gambler?
Or you just can't adjust with the numbers of times you gamble?
I agree with above. Personally, I allocate about 10% of my income for gambling, and never more than that. With that amount, I can usually play for almost two weeks if I’m lucky enough not to lose everything in the first game. However, gambling still poses a high risk to our mindset. Even when we try to limit our playtime or capital, once greed takes over, all our discipline can disappear. That’s why it’s important not only to set limits like keeping the budget small (even 1%) and reducing playtime but also to maintain a healthy mindset. For example, don’t chase wins, don’t chase over profits, and avoid spending long hours gambling.

I don't know if there are gamblers here that really compute their monthly income and then get that certain percentage allotted to gambling? Isn't it complicated, I mean even for those who are playing big money and not in the category of low risk gambler?
In any case, it could be on case to case basis, maybe this month you won big and so that is extra budget for you. But when you lost, then perhaps it's better to stop for a while and not gamble at all.

So how do you play as a low risk gambler?
Or you just can't adjust with the numbers of times you gamble?
I gamble occasionally, i gamble in every possible minimum amount bet on games so that i stay more longer enjoying it, although i increase the bet later on if think so. That's why most of the time a $40 deposit takes days before it vanish it's going to lose or takes days as well before i can get positive income out of it. Thus everytime i gamble have small risk of me getting addicted and small risk of getting lose eventually. I like to see myself as a natural low risk gambler because I gamble occasionally and sometimes could go months without even login into my betting platforms. I like it that way because I don't get to see myself as an addicted gambler nor do I worry that I would use funds meant for other serious reasons to gamble. I even get to leave some funds in my betting platforms account for future betting for when I have a sure code or for when I have settled into the moment and need to make a quick bet.

A monthly gambling budget can help reduce the amount of risk involved in gambling. But there are other factors that can be used to reduce the risk involved in gambling. You have to have this mindset that gambling will not make you rich overnight. That is why you have to remove the mindset of getting rich from gambling for now. You have to remember that the amount of loss is greater than the amount of gain and you also have to remember that you continue to gamble with the same amount as you lose. You will end up loading more than the monthly amount allotted due to excessive greed. It is important to remember that you will have to participate more than once a week, that is, within the budget you have.

This is really going to be difficult to some people that don't have a family responsibility yet because they are not yet married nor had any kids, they probably are still under the care and provision of their parents, so the discipline can not be easy for such people to only gamble 4 times in a month. Even some people that are family men and women would not be so discipline to only bet a few times in a month but it it's really done like that, people won't easily get addicted because it's really a low risk method of gambling as you called it.

It will be easier for those who don't have Android phones If I have an iPhone, does that means I've failed the challenge? :p What does having an android phone have to do with limiting gambling? Lol. May have missed the joke. Does having an iphone now the basis of whether or not a person is busy in an office or whatnot? There are android phones that are as expensive as iphones out there. Just kidding, actually it's easy on paper but it's the will behind the driving factor.
Anything is easier said than done. We can always say we want to do all these things but if we do not have enough will then nothing will happen. When I started during the mid-2010s, I was a degen but thankfully after facing rugpulls and market crashes, it really shaped me to invest most of my funds instead of hoping to double/ triple them in casinos.
So typically my losses are kept to 1 or 2 digits per gamba "session" but I still feel content and am able to stop for quite some time.
Good for you. Hope everyone can avoid a path of losing and instead learn to gamble responsibly instead.

I've never had any experience with gambling, but what you said makes a lot of sense. I think the problem starts when emotion takes over and a person loses control. Seeing gambling as a strategy and not just for fun can be what separates pleasure from addiction.

I understand the idea of low risk gambling which is just entirely for fun but 1% seems too low, it can be a small amount that is worth considering losing because as I mentioned in the other thread if you are betting an amount that is too low then you won't even feel excited when you win the bet so it is better not to gamble at all and save that 1% which can be utilized into something else where there is guaranteed return or something like that.
I personally see 1% as a huge amount of money, since we are only concerned about the fun then why making a big deal out of it? 1% might look very simple in your own view just keep putting it in your bitcoin investment and see how it will keep growing but that's by the way. It is obvious that 1% is too low but is our choice to decide the amount that we know we can easily let go if the outcome didn't work as expected, because some people can still feel disappointed even when they loss 1% of thier monthly income, And I don't blame them for that because they work thier ass up before they where able to get those money, so losing it just like that is always unbearable to most gamblers.

The number most reason why some gamblers become so addicted to gambling is based on how frequently they gamble. The amount of time people spent in gambling really makes them become addicted to the game. But a wise gambler knows how to gamble in other not to become addicted to the game. However, some gambles really want to risk small amount of money on gamble but because of the greed mindset they gamble and gambled but never stoped into their bankroll is low before they could stop gambling.

@OP your guideline is somehow hard for people who are used to gambling. The method is like saying do not gamble at all . I don't know if the person who wrote that guideline ever gambles. If he did, did he follow his guideline? I have nothing against the guideline but I feel like it is suppressive;D. I know people for the sake of writing something gives idea he never practices. The reason why I am asking is whether the writer follows his writings or does he gamble at all. If he doesn't gamble, I do not think he has the right to say anything about gambling because all he is giving is theoretical and not practical. So instead of giving these guidelines, the writer should have said straight not to gamble at all.

That's true, most gamblers don't even care about how they're earning because all they're concerned about is how much they can earn from the games that they're playing. It's because of their financial situation that most people are becoming addicted to gambling because they're looking for ways to make money and this makes them to depend on gambling. All the guidelines are just there for no use to most gamblers. A gambler will prefer to use all the money on him to gamble with the hopes that he can become lucky than to be depending on the small money that they have for so long. Most gamblers aren't low risk gamblers but high risk gamblers and that's why we have a high percentage of losing gamblers.

It is indeed very important to manage the risk of loss but the list does not make sense, for example, like me, I only earn $200/month so my gambling budget is only $2/month, it will not be satisfactory with such capital, I prefer random calculations because my living expenses are very low so I increase my gambling allocation to $50/month

It seems like it would be a little difficult for me to do that because for now even I use at least 3-4 percent divided into 4 weeks of my income to gamble It's quite ideal if we do that but in the end I personally feel that even if it exceeds 1 percent for spending on gambling as long as it doesn't interfere with other needs and we don't have problems afterwards then it's still very doable. Maybe this just sounds like my defense of gambling more than 1 percent but in the end I think we must be in a condition where most gamblers now gamble with money that is more than 1 percent of the income we have especially when we are in middle or lower economic conditions.

Gamble no more than 1% of household income: It is greed that cause some huge loses that gamblers encounter, either they are going to chase what they have lost and they increase how much to gamble with or they are naturally a high risk taker. The best way to have a reasonable gambling experience is to use small amount at least 1% of monthly income. The table below also show an example how that can be calculated with the monthly salary.
It is a super safe way in gambling. Using 1% of our monthly income surely won't bother our financial stability. However, the challenge is how to be discipline and to commit with this way. Yep, there are people who easily break their rules, they suddenly gamble with more 1% when they become emotional due to chasing losses. If we are a type of this people, limiting 1% won't be effective because it is breakable at any time. IMO, the mentality aspect also takes a crucial role here. Maturity and realistic mind are actually the keys to keep it safe in gambling. Gamble no more than 4 days per month: I don't know how easy this will be for many gamblers because even around me, gamblers don't just gamble 4 times in a month. Gambling 4 times means 1 per week and I think that is reasonable. It will be easier for those who don't have Android phones or those who are really busy with office work and barely have time, just on weekends. But this is reasonable and will help to reduce addiction if we have the emotional control. My suggestion is, to gamble four times in a month, you have to focus on few games or sports, maybe just focus of football and particularly with few leagues. It is very possible for the people who are very busy and have no free time at weekdays. So, they only have time to gamble in the weekend. Even if they have Android phones, they have no time to access gambling sites at weekdays. I know some jobs in real life that really make people very busy. They have no enough time to do something like gambling unless at weekend. By the way, I think there are many options, it is not sports betting only. I even don't suggest to bet on football matches because it requires a lot of analysis. Busy people may have no enough time to do analysis.

Although 1% per month may be a small amount, I don't even agree that you have to set aside a certain percentage of your salary for gambling. Is that how important gambling is that it has to have a share in your paycheck?
I guess the ideal would be to prioritize everything else and gamble what little is left. If there's none, there's no problem. You can put off gambling for a while. I guess this makes gambling unimportant. You might eventually forget about it.
If only this is easy, though.

Being a low risk gambler From the link, gamblers who are finding it difficult with the way they lose money can learn from this three steps. Am I the only one who finds these limits unreasonably low? Am I addicted even though I am a responsible gambler? I think this might even work for those who need to practices some kind of behavioral re-education or have already realized they are going over the limit. But for those who gambling controlled manner and understand the risks of this... these limits might be too exaggerated. Actually... I think the risk is not in the number of bets or the percentage of money someone spends. I think the problem lies in the loss of emotional control... there is not point in betting only 1% and becoming depressed when there are people who bet 5% and can handle losses well (emotionally and financially). Of course... I imagine it is important to have limits, but I dont believe there's a single safe reference... the "ideal" may be "unrealistic" for another player.

According to the chart, I am not allowed to gamble more than $17 a month. Bro, I don't make much, but I bet way more than $17 every month. I gamble more than $100 in a session. My gambling habit changed a lot. I used to gamble more when I didn't even make enough money. Believe me, most people in the world don't care about the chart you shared. They love to take risks and gamble, spending almost 20% of their monthly income.
Some people even gamble away their entire income, and they take out loans from others. You will also find such people in this forum. They do not want to share it with us. Gambling four times in a month? That could be me. But not gamblers who cannot pass a day without gambling.
