I think that OP's got it wrong if the maxis telling bitcoin isn't a crypto. What most of the maxis are saying is that Bitcoin is not an altcoin then.

Bitcoin = crypto

Altcoins = crypto.

And if we'd say that bitcoin isn't a crypto by its definition or by anyone's standard. It's money, a medium of exchange and a store of value.

Both works and easier to understand for the majority of people that don't have an idea about it diving on the technical side.

It's just about definitions, where one can think of it as anything, it's just that if the wrong definition will mislead understanding, that's how it is.
Just write Bitcoin is crypto that is generally known, then how can someone not consider that bitcoin is crypto, this sounds strange, is it just because the pioneer of cryptographic currency? I think he failed to understand and heard too much misleading knowledge.

They think of it as expensive asset and no longer affordable. But it's not about the current price that they're looking at.

It's about for how long they are going to stay in the market holding bitcoin and the potential future price of it.

Think of it that the early holders of it didn't expected its growth from all of the years that has passed by.

Those who prolly thought they were late in investing on Bitcoin on 2017 and 2021, they're all in profit if they have held even if they've bought on the ATHs of those periods.

That's correct, and I hope more people/investors would see it this way.

The Original. I think that says it all. IMO, there would be no idea about cryptocurrencies if Bitcoin had not discovered. I think that is why some Bitcoin supporters are very sensitive when it is being compared with other coins. I don't blame them because it should not even go near the level of Bitcoin.
Not separated, but there's a should be a distance when we are doing comparisons. We can compare altcoin to another altcoin, but Bitcoin to altcoin is very difficult to debate.

LOL the "crypto" vs "Bitcoin" debate is a low-key shibboleth. Using "Bitcoin" directly often signals you're talking about the asset or protocol itself saying "crypto" can mean youre talking about the broader messier ecosystem. I switch depending on who I'm talking to, but yeah precision is better here.

I suspect that they mean that instead of saying "crypto will protect us from inflation, is pseudonymous etc" they mean that people should say bitcoin.  Most other cryptocurrencies are garbage and lumping them all together will only hurt the people who are trying to make a quick buck from something else and get screwed over.
