Yeah I already leave that behind a long time ago but what's keep me on staying is the thing that I may hit big one time and that would eliminate that notion that I probably lost or I already cover that lost and I'm on the winning stage. Well, I think there are individuals who keeps track of their bets or have bankroll management but that would really make a difference if you know you're losing? I've my gambling plans set with good bank roll. I've only played with my weekly gambling budgets which comes from my spare funds and I keep disciplines. The days I looses it I don't give a damn. if you really want to try and make some profits after some analysis then maybe you should try trading but the truth is that in gambling it is difficult to beat the house it might even be impossible so just enjoy the games and try to minimize losses but don't try to win all the time because it will just back fire

Sometimes I lied to myself about that too, mostly because of ego. That was when I was still new and didn’t understand that professional sports bettors are already happy with even a small edge. A 5% profit on their bankroll is already a win for them. Back then, I wanted to make x10, which I thought was achievable, but honestly, without consistency, that’s unrealistic.

I wouldn't day that we are lying as gamblers, its' that we wanted to test and risk it again and again. Yes, you are right that it's not a guarantee to win but why we are still here is the question?

It's because as human, since the dawn we take risk, just like what our ancestors did in order to survived. Depends on how you consider the game vs alternatives such as drinking or worse.  Its much healthier then other ways people spend money, involve your brain instead of your liver and kidneys and people want to say thats bad I dont at all.

Everyone knows that the house wins more than the gambler, most times when the gambler wins huge they forget the loses they encountered and are carried away by their happiness or excitement, and it looks like they are not sad about their past loses. But what can they do? Keep on thinking about the past? No I guess. I agree, but I somewhat disagring with you... I think the problem of the most gamblers is that they play believing they are going to "break the system", so... when they start losing, they prefer to deceive themselves rather than face reality. I rarely see people commenting here about how much they've lost, I think most simply don not talk about it or they invent stories about doing well.

I've never lied to myself or to you, I've always made it clear that I see gambling as a fun expense, like to where buy tickets go a concert or football game... if there is profit, even better, but that never is been my goal.

I think one can lie to make themselves look good to others but you have to be honest to say the right words. Most of the time in gambling we have to lose but I still stick with the gambling industry there are underlying issues though many say they gamble for entertainment but the real issue is majority of them gamble for earning. I've been consistent in admitting that I'm losing rather than winning in gambling. That's regardless of whatever form it takes. I've gambled in online casinos, brick-and-mortar casinos, online sports betting, cash-to-cash personal sports betting, fairs, cockfighting, money matches, even various card games in wakes, actual heads or tails, and so on.

Once you enter gambling consider it a lost of your funds, but if you are good enough with a good control with your bankroll then you can do it.

Fairly true but for some reason I'd let go of that losses and just do gambling when I feel bored and needed some time to relax. Ofcourse my tendency to win still there but no to the point I am gonna count of all the losses incurred and always thinking how to recover that. Yes, even if we know that we are losing, maybe it's good to just let it go and don't feel about it. That's part of life as they say, you win some, you lost some. So maybe we are all in net negative, but the thing is that we will continue to gamble to have fun and be entertained.

Just like when we go out in brick and mortar casinos with friends. Maybe $100 is enough for you to gamble and lost. But playing with your friends around is priceless and no amount of money can fill that kind of joy and excitement.

Honestly until now I don't feel that I have that kind of thinking because losing is losing can't be changed and why try to deceive ourselves in gambling because in the end the situations that occur in gambling are all pretty much the same sooner or later we will only feel a loss and that is like a certainty.

We don't need to add or subtract anything because after all when we try to deceive ourselves other than that it is a wrong action, on the one hand this is also a condition that actually becomes a blunder because we think too much about ego than the reality that occurs.
