I think that it means different things to different people. While they may have similar meanings the level of feelings are different. And they are bound by their own subject meanings and interpretations which only the person using it can explain. I think all of these points are similar, but I'm more focused on the thrill and adrenaline. Previously, I gambled while in a gambling addiction phase, and I was looking for thrills and adrenaline, but with low stakes. Now, I understand how to gamble for entertainment, but now I don't hesitate to bet large amounts because if I'm lucky, the potential winnings can be substantial. Now, I feel like I gamble for the thrill, because behind that thrill, there's the pleasure to be had. The points that you noted are all related, if you're gambling for fun, thrill, excitement, adrenalin pump or to unwind stress they all point to the same fact that you want to be in an ecstatic mood. The observation seems very nice, and I must confess that you made a very clear point here. Of course, the mentioned points actually mean different things to gamblers, because every gamblers has different ways they gamble. What I understand is that people's pleasures are different, just like when you talk about someone liking vegetables, but in practice vegetables have many types and each type is different, and everyone who likes vegetables does not like all vegetables, the logic is like that to understand this.

It is the same thing fundamentally, IMO. There are different ways to say things that mean the same thing. The big difference is the reason BEHIND it, or specifically "Why" you are doing such a thing. As long as you know your why, it will be easy for you to identify how it is. Questions like "Why are you gambling?" can be different, like profit or anything, but it's still gambling.

Some people are crazy, their own style of playing for fun might be different from yours even if the pronunciation is the same, someone can keep wasting money on gambling every day and call it playing for fun, to them they have the money they want to waste away.
My own type of gambling for fun isn't because I have the money to waste away, I don't gamble every day and I don't waste money on gambling because I believe that gambling is like a weapon fashioned against gamblers, the chances of losing is pretty higher.

To me what I believe is that all gamblers gambles for same purposes and even though they are saying that they gambles for specific thing or the above things you mentioned you would still see them getting mad when they still lose their matches or wagered amount.
I think gambling is more of money making than anything anyone out there could term it to be, and even though they says they are having fun, taking away their sorrow or having to gamble to relief themselves from whatever pain they might be passing through, they all bounces back to making profits from gambling.

I know that the point you are given are all under the criteria of if the gambling session is positive because I think that same thing like for example playing to relief stress is the same thing that will affect you if the gambling session goes sideways as the affect effect would be you getting all stressed up and even frustrated 😂. I think for me it's probably the adrenaline rush sometimes because the moment am bored and not busy with chores the next thing that plays is to get busy with some gambling activities.
