My altseason expectations died long ago since when we entered September without an altseason I knew something is already wrong even bitcoin didn't have a good stamina against all that has been happening based on trump involvement with crypto.

It's really a change of pattern as some people predicted, because bitcoin hitting a new all time high was very strange in 2024 and altcoins did not follow up as usual so I concluded that it may not come as we already got all time high in birkcin so no altcoins.

Anyone that is still expecting an alt season in this particular point in time is either an ignorance investor or he is just making a fool of himself because since Bitcoin controls the movement of alt coin, Bitcoin cannot be down and alt coin are pumping as you have already said, it can never happen, so I believe that we are already in a bear market. So their is a higher probability that most alt coin are likely going to collapse in price than rise before the end of this year, so holding any of them seems very risky at this point.
But if you are hell bent on risking your hard earned money on any of them, I would advice that you risk only 2% of your discretionary income, since investment in alt and meme is more of gambling than investment.

If you notice, even though bitcoin price has been falling in the past few days, many altcoins have been falling very little and some have even grown against the general market trend. This is rare because usually when bitcoin goes down, altcoins go down even more. In addition, another notable point is that BTC.D is also showing signs of decline.

So in my experience, that means even when we are in a bear market. But this is just the beginning and like in a bull market, there will always be a correction, and conversely in a bear market, Bitcoin will have a temporary recovery period. That will be an opportunity for altcoins to increase in price.
In my opinion, if bitcoin can recover slowly to $100k and BTC.D falls, altcoin ss will come and last for a while before bitcoin falls again and drags the whole market down.

Obviously we are at a point in the market where majority of the assets are dipping and not like only Bitcoin that hard a major price dips most assets in the cryptocurrency market have faced a significant chop off in price and for some expert advice that this is the best time to buy your assets.

But if you already holding any of the potential altcoins that you know can perform well in the market, it best to keep holding at the moment and not to sell at the current price.

Current situation of Bitcoin affect the whole market since if they can see the whole stats in the market almost all of coins and tokens are dipping. So in that case the chances for altcoin season to come became more lesser.

So maybe its time for people to forget about those season to come, but rather think about doing more better action like buying those potential alts and keep it for awhile then see if they can able to earn with those if altcoins will start to pump again.

It did not just happen the way we expected it, like to see a massive pump on most of the altcoins, but as long as some of the altcoins were able to reach back to their previous ATH, it should be enough at least. BTC's inconsistent rise means such hopes will be temporarily dashed. A recurrence will occur if BTC rises again. What's apparent is that the level of funding inflows to replenish liquidity is showing signs of underperformance, which naturally makes altcoins less enthusiastic in such conditions. There are also too many rumors currently surrounding large institutions like MSTR.

Market participants consistently exert selling pressure when the market is slightly in the red, which also contributes to further corrections. We hope BTC can break through 90,000, and if that happens, the chance of seeing an alt season is likely this year... Who knows..

I wouldn't write altseason off, but I also wouldn't wait for it like it's a public holiday on the calendar. Every cycle people draw the same chart: BTC rips first, then large caps, then mid/small caps, then despair. In reality it's always messier. In 2017 I watched bags go 3x, stall, then some random sector (ICOs back then) did a 20x run while everything else just bled against BTC. If you were staring at total altcap you'd swear there was no altseason at all, but individual pockets were completely insane.

This time around you've got way more fragmentation, L2s, meme ghettos on every chain, RWA, AI, whatever's hot on TikTok this week. So you don't really get one clean "altseason", you get a bunch of little local manias that don't always sync up. If you only hold the wrong slice of the market, it feels like nothing ever happens. If you hold the hot slice, you'll swear this was the greatest altseason ever. Same data, different bags.

I did not know about any altcoin season that happened. First we need to be sure that we are done with the bull cycle before talking about moving out from the altcoin season. Do you think we will see another ATH before the bear market or are we already into the bear market. If Bitcoin is still struggling at this time, it will not be wise to expect anything serious to happen in altcoins.  We can wait for that in few years to come when Bitcoin would have fully recovered.

What I think is we already might have passed the altcoin season. When bitcoins were trending above $115,000, we saw all altcoins joining the marathon and we saw some alts hitting ATHs as well. So that for me was an altcoin season. Now what we will experience is further dump which is going to continue for a couple of months. I do not see bitcoins recovering as of now and we have to accept the fact that most altcoins does rely on bitcoins so bitcoins is what I am speculating as of now.

I think there is no possible chance for altcoin season this year but maybe next year we will see altcoins rallying again. We will have to be patient and keep on holding our positions for a longer time as of now.

Yes that's because of the BITCOIN bull run but there will be always another alt coin season, and those who trades altcoins in the past knows that. The altcoin season you're referring are the price surge of the prices due to BTC run since some of the liquidities are paired to BTC or influenced by BTC dominance. It's two different things that happens during the whole crypto market bull run, it happens when BTC dominance drop and altcoin pumps so being optimistic about the upcoming alt coin season is not a bad thing because it could really happen but then, market manipulation happens that's why we can't really predict what will happen next atm.

It already happened in the past years, that's why "ALT SEASON" was born because of it.

The AltCoins market is as complicating to figure it seasonal directives just as we're lost to determine if we're still in the bitcoin bull run season or not.
As said, potential AltCoins has tend to mimick the bitcoin and following it direction. And as such that bitcoin had acquired bullish events in the couple of times even though it never lasted or reached the peak we expected, so is also how those AltCoins had sustained quite interesting values and not until bitcoin market began to decline and so also the AltCoins faded out in their respective market performances.
Maybe we should expect something better in the Alt market when bitcoin market has also moved upwards.

Since the market has undergone a major correction in the past few days and has not yet reached a stable level, it would not be appropriate if we expect something good from the alt season during this period. Before the alt season starts, the market will definitely have a positive impact, which is missing at the moment.
