Eradicating inflation is equivocal because inflation has different types and not all those type can be permanently controlled, different rate of currency can even generate a business inflation because you must convert your currency to get the other currency of the country you are buying those products from so after everything you will insert the prices to cover the conversion rate and other expenses and the profit you are ought to get, this inflation is what has been destabilizing the purchasing power of some people from my country because prices are not vividly you cannot remember all the price changes because of how it does all the time.

Inflation usually depends on the supply of goods. Demand comes secondary, if there is adequate supply the prices will remain lower but with the rising technology and will to have a better lifestyle, the demand is drastically rising but the supply remains the same. This has made the commodities like fuel way more expensive than they should be. It is not the same in every country. Some countries have really cheap fuel because they have adequate supply but countries like Nigeria have to import fuel and depend on other countries who are producing fuel so the price here is heavily manipulated and controlled by the governments.

To be honest, there is nothing much we can do instead of voting for a deserving candidate thinking he might chance the perspective but still we should be prepared to spend even more in the future as inflation rises.

And to be honest people in many countries think exactly like this. When a country cannot produce its own necessary goods properly, then it relies on imports and relying on imports means being stuck in a strange situation where prices will decrease if the government wants them to or increase if it doesn't. I personally think that inflation cannot be blamed entirely on the government but the role of the government cannot be ignored. If supply cannot be increased then demand will not decrease and then prices will increase, Many times I see the government only talking but not addressing the main problem such as increasing production or reducing dependence.

The only way I can think of to combat inflation is to increase our income and meet the standards. Inflation will stay permanently but only those will be impacted whose income remains stagnant. You have to find ways to increase your earning because the same amount of money you used to earn a couple of years back will not be sufficient now because of the hikes in almost every prices.

If you have a growing income than inflation will not really affect you and this can easily be tackled. Mostly people with lower income or people from middle or lower class will have high impact because of inflation. I disagree on the above stated fact that inflation will hit more harder in decades, inflation is one of the major challenges affecting every society and its root cause corruption. Corruption is a very dangerous disease capable of destroying homes and nations, but if only corruption can be eliminated I think there won't be inflation because there will be a price control system regulating the price of all goods and services all over the .  country. Man, that just made me realize that if no one has come ever prepared on how to deal with the upcoming year's of inflation and adjustment, they'll for sure going to have more suffering or much better to say that WE.

Corruption is not the only cause of inflation. You will know why the government prints excessive amounts of paper money. If the infrastructure of the country you live in is not developed, the products produced in your country will not be distributed properly and some regions will remain underdeveloped. When the debt is relatively high compared to the total assets of your country and there is a reserve crisis, the government suffers from a crisis of adequate funds. To fill that gap it tries to temporarily deal with the crisis by printing paper money but its negative impact on the entire economy of the country later creates inflation.

I'm quite dizzy, sir. My monthly grocery needs at home are no longer enough like before. Previously, with $400, we were able to make ends meet living in the suburbs. Now I have to work extra to supplement and cover the insufficient costs after my main activities. My body is tired and the results are also just enough. It is not correct to blame a country's government entirely when inflation increases because many things are beyond their control. Such as rising energy prices, global economic instability and these factors will impact the global supply chain. From there, inflation will increase and is clearly beyond their control.

However, the government must bear much of the responsibility for the uncontrolled inflation in its country. Because they cannot completely prevent it, but they do not lack the means and solutions to control inflation and support the people. But they do not do so because of their selfishness and greed.

So inflation is appropriate. Since start of whatever like governments or kingdoms or currency, everything is inflating, you can check the history about the prices of a egg before and now and what it costs to build a house then and now. Comparisons like these shows this goes back to thousands of years like inflation is a part of our ecosystem I don't really know how it became one haha.

Like why are we not doing something about it as it feels like on purpose with calculated greed and high demand of funds by the government in the form of taxes etc. We can take extra measures against it by managing our funds wisely and not wasting money on useless things but invest them like in BTC.

As I said, the government has failed to control inflation and they are dumping it on us instead of sharing or finding solutions to fix it. I do not deny the bad things that inflation is causing today because I am suffering from those bad things too. But clearly if inflation is well controlled and maintained at 2% it will bring a lot of benefits to the economy and us, not entirely bad as you say.

If you study inflation and deflation, our economy during the gold standard period, you will see that deflation was much worse. A prolonged deflationary economy would be much worse and the consequences would be much more dire.

Inflation is everywhere in the world it is not only affecting africans as you claim but the other countries are not been affected much because they have a better economy and their government is making things look easy for them by providing well paying jobs and creating some opportunities that would better the life of their citizens. The politicians you talked about are also affected by inflation they may not feel it much because they have access to public funds and they are using it for themselves and not for the purpose the money is given to them. The only way to control inflation is to get a working economy, when the economy does not depend on the things they get from other countries then they will reduce the cost of things they provide in their own country.

From your Topic, yes Inflation has come to stay but from your content the price of things would go down or reduced again but the inflation is something of permanent. Because prices would not go back to the normal prices again. Example. Dollar was exchange in Nigeria currency was 0.00589 USD/N185 in 20214. Fuel was sold N97 which was 0.006304 USD. And today dollar exchange rate is 1$/N1454 and a liter of fuel is N900 which is 0.62 and from businessmen would not like to take it back to those lower prices again. But they can only reduce it a little bit and keep it at that stand. So inflation will not disappeared again.

There is no way to reduce the prices for these commodities because the demand is drastically rising and so is the cost of living. In future, we are only going to see these prices double down or maybe worst, hike by up-to 10%.

There is not actually way to stop inflation but to be prepared, we can always have a chance to increase our income so we can tackle the increasing prices. This is the only possible way to handle inflation. Inflation is going to be worst in coming years and in situations like covid thing will just be worst than usual. Being mentally prepared will not give any sudden surprises and might even make us increase the income so we can tackle the rising prices. That is the only thing we can do is at least what I think.
