This is basically never possible. Because Bitcoin is never under anyone's control. Bitcoin's blockchain system is completely decentralized. If a person makes a Bitcoin transaction once or if someone steals Bitcoin from someone, then 99% of that amount of Bitcoin cannot be recovered. If a fraudster does this, if a person steals Bitcoin, then they may immediately trade the stolen Bitcoin in many wallets. If they do this transaction, then it is never possible to get it back.
The news you are talking about may be false or they themselves are fraudsters. Because no person or government, no company has any control over Bitcoin. If someone had, then it would have been possible to recover the deceived Bitcoin or the lost Bitcoin.

I would love to know if it is possible to recover scammed funds sent through bitcoin and confirmed on the blockchain?
Short answer: No… I couldn’t see the post itself to get the full gist behind the story but such stories are usually crafted by a scammer to scam anyone who’s dumb enough to believe it… Well, out of desperation to recover stolen funds, people can actually do some irrational stuffs, I bet that’s what they are capitalizing on… You only have a few chances of recovery if you send some SATS to an existing address due to a copy mistake(typo is far from causing this), then you could make use of an OP_RETURN, and other possible channels like social media to reach the owner, hoping something happens… If your funds get stolen then it’s gone, no one can recover unless maybe it was moved to an exchange by a dumb scammer, with report it can be frozen, will you get them back? That I have no answers to.

Can anyone confirm if the link to the article on the OP is still available, as I checked here, and it shows that the article is no longer available. Going by what hazink has said, there is every possibility the story is a cooked one to lure people mailing her to find out how she recovered her bitcoin, and then she uses the opportunity to scam them because she would have mentioned who helped her recover the bitcoin and how they recovered it.

once a Bitcoin transaction is confirmed it is impossible to reverse There is no customer support no one to call no "chargeback". Like @Hazink and @SatoPrincess said this is a classic scam tactic 1 Scammer posts a fake story: "I was scammed out of $50,000 but I got it all back!" 2 Victim contacts them: "How did you do it I was scammed too!" 3 Scammer refers them to a fake "recovery agent": "Contact this crypto wizard he helped me" 4 The "recovery agent" (also the scammer) asks for an upfront fee: "I can get your money back but I need 01 BTC first to trace the funds" 5 The victim pays the fee and gets scammed a second time Don't ever believe these stories Once your Bitcoin is gone it is gone The only way to get it back is if the scammer is dumb enough to send it to a CEX and you get law enforcement involved immediately which almost never happens

This could be the trick they use to lure people and scam them the more. Be weary of bitcoin recovery services because you may not know if the coin is recovered or not. People should just try and make their bitcoin not to lose because recovery isn't guaranteed at all. I have tried reading the article but I also did not find it. Maybe it has been removed

I was on Quora site reading some news and I came across these story https://globalassetrecoveryalliancesspace3.quora.com/I-was-scammed-30-4-BTC-from-Discord-How-do-I-recover-my-funds of a woman who claimed she was scammed of over $55,000 in bitcoin and at the end of the story, she said it was later recovered which I do not totally believe it because from the little I have read about bitcoin, when a transaction is marked and confirmed by a block as successful it is almost impossible to recover and I would love to know if it is possible to recover scammed funds sent through bitcoin and confirmed on the blockchain? If you believe any crypto recovery service, then you are going to lose more money, they just want to increase your loss, because you going to be asked to pay some amount of money, if you can pay them, then they have already scammed you already, because both the amount which you were scammed, and the amount which you paid to crypto recovery service will be gone. If you are scammed, just accept your loss, and try to improve yourself so that similar things won’t end up happening again, but you trying to recover your stolen bitcoin is another mistake.

I mean, for sure, it is impossible to get back your Bitcoin when you already sent it to another wallet, or maybe you get drained or hacked, or there was just no way you could get it back by yourself, using some kind of method. There are a lot of news about this where there are Bitcoin or crypto getting recovered online especially on government cases. If you get drained and its kinda your fault it is impossible for sure to get it manually, and I wouldnt really trust any recovering services to recover it, its just impossible.
Probably what happened is you could file a criminal case here if your crypto get stolen, I mean you could trace the transactions anyway if the criminal is a notorious one that get caught, by the government in person, for some reason, it is possible to recovered your Crypto then. I mean Ive watch a lot of cases online how a crypto scammer get caught by the police, most of the time they get caught because they do something that a rich man do.

I have gone through the link again and the post in question has been deleted. I don't know why maybe people might have noticed it's a scam and started reporting it which the moderators decided to take action, or the scammers decided to delete it by itself. One mistake I made was forgetting to take screenshot of the post which could have been tender as evidence now that the link is broken.

Scammed Bitcoin is usually very hard to recover because crypto transactions are irreversible. However, you can still report the case to the exchange, local cybercrime authorities, and blockchain-analysis services—sometimes funds can be traced if the scammer tries to cash out. Recovery companies promising guaranteed refunds are often scams themselves. VMProtect Ultimate “free full version” usually refers to pirated or modified copies of the original software, which are illegal and often contain malware.
~snip link~~
It can be traced, but it won't be easy to recover. If this scammer knows how to use some services to cut the trace, then they already exit for being watched by authorities or any blockchain analysis services. Scammers nowadays are smart; they can launder them by using 3rd party services like CoinJoin or mixers, so the chances to trace the real culprit or scammer are low. However, you still need to report this to make others aware of these scammers and what address they use to prevent other people from dealing with scammers like this.

The Quora question appears to be removed when I click on it, but I was able to comprehend the person, which is completely unfeasible given that Bitcoin is a decentralized cryptocurrency. The person who responded to the question by claiming to be able to do it is merely preparing to con the questioner because he is aware of his inexperience. But it's the person who posted the question who claimed that the Bitcoin had been recovered for him, so it's likely that he did so in order to entice BTC beginners, so he can scam them if they fall for his madeup tale, which helps me comprehend the rationale behind the post's removal.

If the stolen Bitcoins were sent to a centralized exchange, it might be possible to recover them legally, but from a technical standpoint, once the sent Bitcoins are confirmed on the network, they cannot be reversed. If that were the case, we would call it Ethereum. (If you're unfamiliar, look up the Ethereum fork and born of Ethereum Classic) One of the features that makes Bitcoin secure is that these transactions are irreversible. If this weren't the case, some government could come and steal your coins without giving any reason. No centralized system is secure.

What if she did it through centralized services? I mean, she got said coins from it and got it back from it.. But I doubt it truly happened.
I doubt the exchange will give her back what she lost unless it was through the exchange's fault that she lost those money. If not, it is not the exchange's responsibility to give her the money. the post is already deleted so there is not much information to go by. Anyway, a bitcoin transaction is irreversible unless the scammers sends it back to you but come on that would never happen haha.

You are right about your statement, most of this website are just a bait to lure people into getting scammed, you see some information on your emails where you are asked to click something if you give authorization concerning your password and passkey. Anything YouTube channels like were people are talking about crypto and how to make crypto investments, are places investors who have bitcoin should stay away, because you can be asked to do some little investment and you will earn more money, eventually when you do that by clicking some link you eventually get scammed when they have access to your bitcoin wallets.

Someone who experiences a Bitcoin scam has no hope of getting their money back, as Bitcoin transactions don't require an intermediary, especially since we don't know each other when we make the transaction. I'm not sure if the woman managed to get her money back after being scammed. If that were true, perhaps we haven't seen frustrated people complaining on this forum after experiencing Bitcoin scams because they managed to get their money back.

Don't be deceived by a large amount. Maybe if you follow up legally, the government might help you trace the scammer, but the chances of recovery are always very small.
But in this story shared by the lady, I'm more convinced that there was never a recovery rather, it's a scam attempted post looking at her profile and how the email is very visible it's obvious she's expecting people to start hitting up her mailbox asking how was she able to recover her money etc and that's where she will (that's if it's female behind that profile) make her scam offer.
I do thought as much and I also hope hope will be very much careful when they come across incidence like this one on the internet because it might also lead to a possible scam if care is not taken. I always treat every financial information I get from the internet with extreme caution because I already know that, the internet is a very wild place where anything can happens at anytime. I already knew the woman was also a scammer because even by just reading her post, you’ll understand how casually you wrote these things because no one scammed of such amount would write that casual about the people or person that helped them recover such amount.

Don't ever fall for this trick bud, this is nothing but another scam strategy which I believe many of you out there don't even know about... Go to sites like etherscan, go to the comment section in most transaction information page, you will find dozens of people commenting their testimonies of how someone (they will always include contact details of the person) helped them recover some certain amount of bitcoin or ethereum they lost to scammers, believing that if you have fallen victim before, you might as well be interest in contacting the person they mentioned to help you recover your scammed money, dude, you will end up getting scammed again if you believe any of this shit.. Be extra vigilant with your bitcoin because scammers are devising new scam strategies every day that passes..
