Gambling has a greater spirits their are people who are into gambling from young age till they become very old yet they continue gambling,I think restricting them is the best , because many of them don't longer know what they can predict to win but due to their constant gambling they became addicted to gambling,check in your locality you will see them most of them don't take their bath all they concentrate is pool gambling and I think they should place restrictions on the old people because they use the money they are supposed to feed themselves on gambling which is not good.

If you take a look at the stat of age groups that are addicted to gambling, old people will be far less than young adults. Young adults are more likely to have problem gambling than old people. Most people that are addicted to gambling will likely be within the age of 18 to 30.

Senior citizens should not be restricted from gambling, once they are willing to play, we all know how they can be bored a times with doing nothing, they needed some other things to make their days, get them engaged, most of their children would have gone to work and they may be left alone at home bored and tired, which is not perfect enough, they should not be sideline from gambling opportunity once they are willing to do so, time will still tell when they will willingly on their own stop it when they see the need.

I do think that age restriction should be adjusted, or there should be different criteria that will chose who is allowed to gamble and who is not. Today in most countries gambling is allowed from 18. That is explained that before that age, teens are not mentally prepared. However there is not much difference in mental preparation between 16 or 18 years old. Until teens starts to live separated from parents, get their first job, they are all the same imho. All have same problems, needs, vision of the world. Moreover, with time, not everyone get smart. Some 25+ adults are more stupid and silly than teens.

Lower level of age should be adjusted (because kids now have access to a much more knowledge that kids 30-50 years ago. they have more options to learn to be an adult, more ways to test something), upper level shouldnt (because a person is already adult, smart and experienced, and knows what is responsibility).

I don't necessarily see the need to ban the elderlies from betting because I believe they have more experiences and exposure when it comes to what they've being doing for ages. Like I always say, the mindset is what really matters, not the age.

We have underage who thinks more like an adult and have good decision making and we also have adults who lack this attributes too so age I not really a determinant to betting but the maturity that comes with it.

Most old people see gambling as a way of relieving stress as at the end of the day, they come down to a nearby betting shop to ease off the stress of the day. Everyday cannot be a lucky day, there are good days and there are bad days as well so the mindset is what ruins most people.

I saw more of this in the past when online gambling wasn't popular. How is it possible for an old man of 70 years to be gambling with his feeding money, don't you think that he will die of starvation and a time will come that he will have no strength to walk to the pool house.

Those aged gamblers are only gambling with what they can afford to lose because they are experienced gamblers. They must have learned a hard lesson when they were younger. There are no restrictions for further age but most gambling rules, under the age of 18 or 21.

Older people aged 70+ are more likely to be prone to walking but what if they have money? Of course they must be hired people to walk there and want to play because they are bored at home, there are so many reasons that happen.

Nobody should be restricted from gambling with their money whether they are old or young, anybody that cannot gamble responsibly despite their age should discipline themselves or stop gambling. It also depends on the reason why an old person is gambling, if it is to make money at that age then it's very unfortunate because they can cause themselves emotional stress if they keep losing. Why do you need to deprived senior citizens their source of entertainment? They will not go to casino if they are having a hard time going in there physically.

The majority of these old people doesn’t have family or anyone to talk that’s why they go to casino for entertainment purposes.

If they can prove their mental health is intact, they should be allowed to play imo. This has nothing to do with age. Would you welcome a crazy person in your own establishment? I certainly wouldn’t. Crazy people shouldn’t be allowed to walk freely. They need professional treatment. Their place is not the streets where healthy people walk. They should be in a mental clinic or something. No matter how old the player is, she/he is still an adult. As long as his/her brain functions are present, they should be allowed to play. The same thing applies to any other stuff as well. I don't think that's a good idea, gambling is like drinking alcohol and cigarette, you have a free will to do it and if the government tries to control it, you'll lose your freedom. That's why many cigarette packages shows what would likely you'll have if you continue smoking in order to prevent people from using it but they can't totally ban it if the people wanted to use it and what they can only do is to give information that may discourage them to use it or if you know the phrase "gambling responsibly" or "drink responsibly" were being used in most gambling sites and alcohol stores since they can only give you advice.

Also why would gambling sites limits old people, most of them are the target niche since they are more likely successful and have source of income.

I think you are forgetting that they have more experience than us. They know more, they are knowledgeable, and if it is about sports, I think they are better than us.

Why restrict them? They are the ones who need more entertainment in their remaining life because they are done with all the chores and hard work when they are young. Don't restrict the old ones form gambling all because they cant bet to win, they are gambling mainly for the purpose of being entertained, they are not mostly positioned to what they can earn from gambling, instead they mostly gamble for entertainment purpose, which will also keep them being busy to an extent, you cant expect an old man to gamble to earn money, while children are the ones that should be restricted in such manner.

Any age is vulnerable its just what common thing we see in our society is young people got addicted because they can easily access those places. But now in age of digitalization on where everything is can be found online senior age are also vulnerable on addiction especially if they discover that they could able to have fun on online casinos while staying at home.

There are those senior citizens that go and gamble on a land base casinos for one reason, that is to enjoy the rest of their natural and remaining lives. So why would you restrict them and not allow that? They could have been working very hard throughout their lives that they have accumulated enough money to just enjoy it. Maybe they he or she already make his last will and testament and the remaining money they got are now put into playing from time to time to entertain themselves. At least for those seniors who still have their senses. However, I still witnessed some that can barely touch the slot machine or press it. But they have their maids or security to do that for them.

Banning for minors is absolutely right, but in the case of people of a certain age I see it as unfair and it harms the freedom of the individual.
