I get your point buddy but I believe you skipped the fact that, there are some children that can be a torn on the flesh and there're children that, no matter how well and how much of good parenting you offer, they still end up wayward and will it still be advisable to hand out your passphrase to such children ? That seems to be a good idea but writing yiur security codes in a book has it's own risks, remember that anything can happen and the book can be tempered with or damaged. Its a better to imprint the codes on a metal object and place it somewhere that people can't gain access to easily, this might be a good idea but books are not fire and water proof they can get damaged easily so it's better to be safe
