The main purpose of every investment is to make profit and once you’re able to make enough profit, you don’t lose taking out profit, you don’t lose leaving the market too early and not waiting for when everyone is waiting to take profit. The market is very volatile and until now no one can confidently tell you where the direction of the market will be headed.

Some may say you’re greedy after making this much and not take profit, some may also say that you didn’t deserve it because you saw a once in a lifetime opportunity and still messed it up. Oh, I'm done with all of those calculations. I've sold a lot in the past at a cheap rate and I should have that life changing money as well just like you. But life goes on and we have to admit the mistakes that we did. Losers are quitters but winners never quit. That's why we'll bounce back and we've learned from those bad timings that we did and we don't want to repeat the same mistakes again. We're on this, we're on a great community and we're pushing each other upwards so that all of those bad decisions we've made will be corrected in the near future.

A lot in here can relate from this mistake, but what else can we do than to learn from it and be wiser the next time. Altcoins can be somehow profitable but only on selected altcoins, so if you want to gain maximum profits and gain high assurance on it, you can chose to focus on bitcoin instead.

Bitcoin has fallen in the year preceding COVID-19 but the good about bitcoin is that with patients, it will grow back and that is the problem with altcoins. An altcoin that drops is likely not to be resurrected. We have had so many of them that have gone down and have found it impossible to come back near their Ath. You are right that bitcoin investment is the best in the crypto space. This has been proven undisputed.

I have been in this kind of situation too with shitcoins but how would you really know they are shitcoins until they die and never resurrects   Except you begin to make the decision that bitcoin is the only crypto to invest on.

Experience is always the best teacher mate, you will hardly repeat this same mistake again in your trading or investment journey especially on altcoin because you have seen how greed kept you out of joy and took you back to struggling zone again after you are able to see your investment did 10X from your investment.

This is also a lesson learned, you should have invested in Bitcoin at $16K and I think you will still not have that big lost you have right now because Bitcoin in price is still up; but the way Altoncoins do dump, you will know that they don’t have control, and investing in them especially the meme coins or shitcoins is very risky because they can even go back to zero. The best altcoins to invest in should be the likes of BNB, ETH, or probably Solana because they are promising and they also follow the suit once Bitcoin take the lead.

Seconded, there are quite a lot of things i learnt very early on when i joined this community, and i am grateful this was one of them. Altcoins are short term projects, the longer you hodl them, the higher the chances of you ending up as a bagholder. When it comes to crypto, i just continue accumulating bitcoin. And if i want to diversify, i don't look towards altcoins, i turn my attention to other assets like stocks, precious metals, real estate, etc. That is what i understand diversification to be.

What shitcoin are you posting about, ser. And although MANY shitcoins didn't perform as well as Bitcoin this cycle, turning $3,000 to $30,000 is very VERY good.

Plus how did you end with an amount that $3,000 invested in Bitcoin at $15,000 would be worth $87,000 today, let's assume you traded held it from $15,000, then sold it at $125,000 - ATH.

If you believe that 3k is small maybe you should send me 1.5k I will appreciate it, when I said it took me four years I really mean it, things can be easier in your country but never in mine, it really took me that long to safe up that amount of money, I am not from a country where minimum wage is very high.

I understand that it would take someone four years to save $3K because I'm from a poor country and it took me four years too to save a similar amount of money and start preparing for 2020's bull run. In 2020-2021, my Bitcoin investment grew a lot, then I invested in BNB, which significantly grew it, then I also tried Qtum, Matic and many other altcoins. I saw a huge growth and was making lots of money every day. I was trading every day but sometimes I had to miss sleep and trade at night. Once, I hadn't slept for 3 days because my trading wasn't going well and I wanted to still profit instead of closing a position at a loss but after 3 days of no sleep, I passed out and woke up with messages from Binance telling me that my money got liquidated. I started everything from scratch again in 2022 but today I'm doing fine, I learnt from my past mistakes.

That 10% TP definitely works. The problem that holding me from taking profit early is the fact that I invested into an altcoin with high risk so I expected high return but the return is nowhere to be seen.

With altcoins, you can wait for 6 months very patiently to find a good time and entries as the cryptocurrency market usually has a big movement trend every six months. If you succeed with your entry and take profit, don't too quicky find other opportunities, as I recommend waiting for about 6 months to enter a new wave of the market.

Losing 30% of your savings must have been really tough but it’s good that you managed to hold on and even took the opportunity to buy the dip later that decision alone shows that you didn’t let emotions take full control. For people who lose everything though the road to recovery is definitely harder especially if they used money meant for important things like family needs or daily expenses this is why risk management matters more than any other trading skill because once the capital is gone the mental pressure alone can crush motivation completely.

If the same pattern continues where most newbies who enter the market are greedy and aim to get rich quick, fraudulence will not be stopped as they will be the constant target of these fraudsters due to their being aggressive and lack of knowledge on the nature of their investment.
