Why Crypto casinos not investing in real Mobile Apps?

In my opinion, casinos want to avoid further headaches. For example, creating an app would require the casino to pay a high price to the coder and would also require them to pay higher salaries to maintain both the app and the website. This would increase operational costs, and knowing that casinos, despite making money, operate a risky business, if a large number of lucky people win a lot of money while the casino has excessively high operational costs, it could go bankrupt. Therefore, they value risk management. People can use the website, so if they can use the website, then the casino won't spend money on an app.

Personally, I feel crypto casinos are missing a big opportunity here. A smooth app could attract a whole new wave of players and give them a real advantage over the competition, especially on App store IOS or Android…

I don't know for sure, and I myself have always wondered about this most of the time, especially times when I want to gamble and remember I have to visit a website, I begin to wish there was an app I could simply open on my phone to easily access the casino..

Some may want to say that the reason why casinos do not care about building their own app is due to Google play store and apple store restrictions but honestly, I do not see this an excuse, I personally have some apps on my android phone that are not listed on Google play, I have an app called vidmate which I downloaded YouTube videos from and the app is not listed on Google play, I have another app call Amazon Alexa, this app isn't available for Nigerians to download from Google play store, I had to find another way to download it since I need the app for my smart home gadgets.

So, interested casinos can build their app and it's not a must they list it on Google play, they can simply make the app downloadable directly from their website but I think most casinos aren't just interested in having an app.

Maybe this is one of the reasons, but it will all come back to the customers. If customers are more comfortable with a lighter and faster website interface, then there is no reason for the casino to invest in a mobile app. I’m sure developing an app certainly requires a significant amount of funds, even though it’s not an issue for a casino with high revenue. But maybe they are considering maintenance and their market. There would be a risk if the casino switches to a mobile app; if the customer response is not favorable, updates that are expected to improve customer satisfaction could actually be bad for the casino itself.

It is smart point and main reason why crypto casinos do not make smooth and fast mobile applications is strict rules and legal problems made by Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Such stores demand license in every country and do not allow crypto deposits since they go around payment systems of store, forcing casinos to use slower and web based apps to avoid these costly and complex rules. Legal problem is biggest block at this time and everything will likely remain browser based until gambling laws are changed or web technology gets fast enough to compete with native applications.

The main benefit is that its more convenient to have an app and the casino can also have notifications on your device to warn you about promotions or try to make you bet more. I think it would be worth to develop one since its not difficulty and the casinos make so much money that this expense wouldn't hurt them even if few people used the app in the beginning

Playing casino with the web interface is better for me. I'm not sure if the casino has any issues related to launching a mobile casino app, but it seems the Play Store doesn't allow apps related to gambling. 
Some other gamblers might prefer and may be used to the current casino interface. But maybe those who access the casino from their phones have some problems. For computer users, though, I'm sure there are no issues with the web interface.

Not all crypto casinos don't exist in mobile apps but they are not as common as the regular traditional casinos that operates on mobile app.For you to identify a well reputable crypto casinos in the form of mobile app it simply means that the casino has been for a very long time,you know longevity also play a crucial role in the establishment of a casino.And for a crypto casino to be on Google play store or apple store it is required of both parties to approve the content of the application before proceeding to the next step,but it seems like apple approval take longer time than google play store,so the approval aspect might be a major reason why most crypto casinos haven't invested in real mobile apps.

It seems like you’ve already answered your own doubts with that explanation.

From my perspective, maybe crypto casinos have considered many factors, and one of them is that users feel more comfortable and safer regarding their privacy when downloading the app through a browser. The reason is simple, not all gamblers come from countries where gambling is legal, and making the app available only through a browser becomes one of the solutions for crypto casinos to reach more users without worrying about restrictions from the Play Store or App Store.

Convenience is what it can give to the users.

There are gamblers that prefer to simply open and tap an app on their phones and they're good to go. They don't want to visit the website of a casino if it has got an app to play with.

But I agree that majority of the reputable casinos have that optimized theme for the mobile users and that's why they don't have to invest in it.

I think that it's within the casinos, if they want to do that, they can make it easy as they're all rich and have a huge reserve to spend for that.

I've seen few casinos operating on the app but most customers uses the web based platform for business, but it seems mobile app will work efficiently and notify users about every events taking place within the platform.

I guess what O.P meant was gambling apps by casinos hosted on any of the Play Stores, be it other Google Play Store for Android users or Apple Play Store for I.O.S users. Because I literally have also used some casinos that own it's app, and most of these apps are always downloaded directly from the casino website itself and not on any of the Play Stores (i.e Google or Apple Play Stores). However, on I think the restrictions from Google on gambling might have also affected the reason why we can't actually see gambling apps on Play Stores. But that doesn't mean such doesn't exist. Because there are some casinos whose service even works far better on its mobile app, since I'm a big fan of mobile apps.

The restrictions is part of it from the play store, because they don't support the gambling platforms or their corresponding apps, this makes it more convenient that we enter them through the website provided, aside this, i don't think there is any economic challenges that serves as a barrier from them being available on app store.

The Android and iPhone stores are very strict and they don't allow gambling platforms to have an app on their store because the government restrictions in some countries. Many popular casinos don't have a mobile app and I don't know why maybe they don't see it as important for them to invest in mobile app. Since not all players are betting from mobile phones, some casinos can decide to leave the aspect of the mobile app which is not about the finance but how to give users experience they will not complain about. Browsers are fine for gambling and the need for additional app might not really help in this case.

I don't think they need to tbh, just keep mobile devices in mind when designing the website that'll do. I personally don't like installing mobile apps as long as the website gets the job done.

As for play/app store restrictions (that's if there are any); I don't think it matters much as they can put the file on their website to download, this should also save casino from whatever cut these stores might be taking albeit this also comes with a compromise of visibility and trust that these stores bring.

If you talk about online casinos of course we have to talk about storage space and access, App Store platforms (iOS, Android) and Web browsers have their own background of advantages and disadvantages, As far as I know, the App Store (mobile application) is more complicated and costs more, there are many processes that must be approved, especially by the app store.
Meanwhile, if I'm not mistaken, the Web browser is easily accessible to various devices. Gamblers can access device features such as cellphones, computers, tablets and so on, completely different from the App Store which has to be developed separately and requires manual installation.
For the various reasons I mentioned and several others online casinos rarely deal with the App Store.

There are people who don’t use sophisticated devices, and using an app might not really give them the best of experience, the games may either be lagging or experiencing other issues, but any device that has an internet connection, even an old desktop computer can also access the casino via website and not experience much of a hassle. There could be other reasons to why crypto casinos prefer to use web rather than apps, but I think this could be a good reason why.

Restriction is the biggest issue.

Most people install apps through App Store or Google Play because they feel it's safe, if they install apps that they get from other way, there would be a warning message if it could be not safe. Many people would think the apps aren't safe due to the warning message.

Having them to install the apps also make them have to spend more effort, most people don't want to do any extra step if they can do with the fastest/easiest way.

Another reason, some people value their privacy and don't want someone to know them they're a gambler.

Whenever you create an application for your mobile devices, they undergo rigorous testing because they must comply with the requirements set out by their respective platforms.

As an example, both the appstore and the playstore require most of their apps to submit lots of requirements that must not be prohibited under their ToS. Given that gambling involves the game of chance, I do think that their ToS prohibits this kind of platform which can potentially be exposed to the younger generation.  Lastly, if you register your gambling application to these platforms, they will require the submission of KYC which is also under a form of regulation.

This is exactly the reason on why most online gambling platforms create their respective websites for you to play. Even if a gambling app would be convenient, it would be more damaging and harmful both for the company and to the users as well.

It is not just that because of low-resource devices of people casinos or forums do not make crypto casino mobile apps but avoiding the hassle of maintenance, security updates and some policies is also a big factor when making a mobile app. Especially when it comes to bringing crypto-related apps to the Google Play Store or App Store, there are many restrictions that are not convenient in some cases and sometimes crypto casino related apps cannot even be uploaded to the Play Store or App Store but in the case of websites there are no such restrictions and developers can also update or fix the website's features quickly. So, not only is it easy to access but also in terms of cost, regulations and maintenance, web platforms are often a more realistic solution for casinos or forums than mobile apps.
