Why Crypto casinos not investing in real Mobile Apps?

The question is, how many gamblers in here really see the need for a gambling application of their favorite gambling platform. I do not need it and i am very sure many people do not too. I am comfortable accessing the platform through its website. I believe if there is so much demand for something like that, then they would do it. I know of fiat casinos that have their mobile application, but i still used to access them through the web.

On a modern smartphone, the differences between the app and the web interface are minimal. There's no point in having an app, considering that the major players in the app market (Apple Store and Google Market) impose a ton of restrictions and try to take the lion's share of the profits from those who release apps. Any gambler will choose an option where the casino's margin is low, and the more intermediaries, the higher the margin (the casino will not operate at a loss). Therefore, even if a casino releases its own app, it is distributed through the casino's website and not through the monopoly marketplaces.

Now that I think about it, the crypto casinos I've seen who has an app relies on APK, and not available to play store. This makes me think you could be right about your theory. Plus generally, app store is stricter than google play.

In addition, there's also the fact that most crypto casinos work just fine on mobile browser, thus making an app much less a priority to casino team. It would also need a separate budget to make and to maintain as well.

Majorly, restrictions is becoming more relevant than implementation.It's because most crypto casinos operate without full licensing,so they can’t legally appear in mainstream app stores.Crypto casinos don’t build native apps primarily because regulations would expose,limit them and possibly shut them down.But I strongly believe that there's a sustainable system to expand without all these constant shut down results.

The app could certainly provide better service to its users, but when it creates a situation that creates problems for their business operations, it is better to avoid it. Restrictions reduce the growth of a business. And since gamblers are resorting to gambling on gambling sites, the gambling industry is also growing day by day. So I think the app is not having much of an impact on the gambling industry.

Even though the android is open source, the playstore got restrictions which is where 99% of the apps are downloaded, so even if casino build their app then they can't list on the app market so players can only download from the website so what is the point if the users already entered into the site then we can't expect them to go to app.

Gambling with smartphone is not the most fun we will be having very limited experience even if the results and games are just the same. It's always the bigger screen for better user experience.

Do you mean having a casino app will show up in your phone's launcher? If so, you can hide it, most launchers have this function.

I agree that apps require their own separate maintenance, and that'll add to the costs of casino. But, I disagree that app's appearance would be unattractive, or the features will be omitted.

Long time ago when I started wondering why almost all crypto casinos avoid building real mobile Apps for iOS or Android, and to this day, I didn’t see any good Mobile App or I am missing something? Most of them only offer apps that are basically website based to install from the browser, I mean just the same site put inside an app. And honestly, it becomes slow and nowhere close to the experience we get with platforms like 365bet or other traditional betting Apps.

I really don’t get it, Crypto casinos have huge budgets for marketing, partnerships, good prize pools… but when it comes for buildin an actual special mobile app, it’s like no one wants to step up.

So why aren’t they doing it? Is it because of App Store and Google Play restrictions,
Or it is legal situation?

Personally, I feel crypto casinos are missing a big opportunity here. A smooth app could attract a whole new wave of players and give them a real advantage over the competition, especially on App store IOS or Android…

i think one of the reasons why most of them avoid building a real mobile app is due to the fact that reputable companies like Google & App have very strict rules outlined against gambling most especially when it comes to the angle of crypto gambling, i think it makes getting approval to host the app a bit more difficult and when it comes to Native app option, i feel the legal risks also comes to mind and beside it requires more cost for maintenance and also has higher development cost as well.. so i think they just prefer to go with the browser based apps all becuase it is way cheaper to maintain, more easier to run across several countries and above all it rules out all this strict app stores restrictions

The app has maintenance costs, and gambling companies certainly think about that. Gambling companies would be willing to spend those maintenance costs if the app played an effective role in their business growth. Since gamblers gamble on gambling sites, there is no competition among gambling companies in creating apps. If gambling sites start bringing apps to the gambling market, we will see gambling sites competing to bring better apps than each other, and only then will we be able to see who is offering the best features.
