This is the extreme case but I do know someone that keep chasing losses even though his loss is not high while he have a very good source of income from his job.

You mind will definitely be the biggest factor on which it would be that reflecting out on what are the potential actions or decisions that would be that making but as we do all know that emotions could also that make out such impact that makes you ending up on altering those earlier decisions you do made. Now if we do speak about gambling on which this is, that involves emotion because losing money is something that could disrupt out on what we do feel since we humans doesnt want to lose money and once it do happens then it would be that so hard to make up such control. this is a very natural psychological issue, when someone loses while gambling they automatically start thinking that if they play again they might recover the lost money, this thought does not come on purpose,it just happens in the mind. that is why many people cannot stop after losing, they believe that playing a little more will fix everything, but in reality most of the time the opposite happens, the more you gamble the more you lose, at that point people start losing control, this situation is strongly connected to mental weakness,that is why i think stopping immediately after a loss is very important,you have to convince your mind that not all lost money can be recovered, if you do not stop in time the damage only becomes bigger...

Folks that refuses to accept their loss, will eventually turn to gambling addicts that will constantly be chasing after their own losses... Winning seems very easy when you have not taken the bet, but once the bet is placed you know the real reason why gambling is risky and loses is closer than your expected winnings, that the reason that trying to make gambling a consistent winning race is not possible.
