IMO, it is necessary to learn from the mistakes. Because if it's not for our mistakes, no one is going to learn. But because we've seen how it impacted ourselves when we commit mistakes, we see how the bad result will affect us and so it's necessary to learn from it. From my experience, why do I chase losses or chase wins? Because I want to win, even though defeat happens more often than not, it doesn't make me stop immediately.

I think its partly not accepting the loss, its alot harder to be emotionally resilient over ignoring or denying the loss as it will shortly be reversed if I just keep going no matter what it'll work out.

Have you heard about the phrase the rich also cry? It happens alot in gambling. Just because a person is gambling and he is rich doest mean the person can't have the characteristics of poor gamblers.
