Many people want to know about Bitcoin and want to invest in it and make themselves an investor. For this, they should first go to a competent and honest teacher, which is not available these days. Therefore, by telling me that I have a team and I know a lot, you should create your own separate thread so that anyone who wants to get information from you can assess your ability and give you confidence in your belief. By telling me that if I am right, no one will believe me and even more so, you are talking about Bitcoin, which is a lot of fraud these days and is ruining the reputation of Bitcoin.

As people say, theory is useless without real practice, and so it is with Bitcoin, you just won't get any results if you just keep reading various theories without any real practice, not saying that theory is not important, it is also important, but practice is also equally important that you need to take real steps by starting to invest, even with a small amount first, and then from that you can learn directly how the market moves, how to secure your own assets, and many other things, and then from that you can gain valuable experience in bitcoin.

BitcoinTalk is already a good place to start learning Bitcoin together with other people. In fact, the older users need the insights of newer users because the newer users might have a newer/different perspective about Bitcoin that could bring everyone towards a better understanding of the network.

Although, you should be careful with some people in this forum. Some of them either spread disinformation, or actually have the wrong perspective.

There is no theory that can be compare to a real practical when you invest in Bitcoin. Investing in Bitcoin will give him understanding on how to hold and what it takes to own Bitcoin. Reading books will only add to knowledge but much simple knowledge without any experience which is not good enough for people that want to own a Bitcoin without any move to buy and hold. I have read a lot of books too about Bitcoin and how to practically invest in Bitcoin but all this will be like a story if he does not buy now and see how the price of Bitcoin is going and ways of making profits.

Learning it only for the sake of having knowledge that can help you participate in discussions is another thing, but in general, it's true that a newbie doesn't need to know anything about Bitcoin's technical aspects for them to be able to use it; however, it's important for them to understand how it's used like its wallets, because most people get confused when using wallets like Electrum because the interface is not that modern, and there are terms that a newbie might not understand, so it's important to learn these things, but apart from that, technicalities are just optional.

So many people say that learning to use Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies is difficult, but I don't agree with that. As long as someone has the basic knowledge about the internet and know how to use an electronic device such as a mobile or a laptop, they can easily learn how they can use Bitcoin, or use exchanges to buy and sell cryptocurrencies, because the processes are pretty straightforward, and we have user-friendly platforms to get everything done nowadays, so it shouldn't be a problem for anyone.

Hey OP thats a solid book choice Ive gone through the third edition on Github and it really breaks down the tech without overwhelming you at first like how blocks work and why mining isnt just gambling
One thing Id add is after reading dont stop there grab a free wallet like Electrum and play around with testnet coins to see transactions in action it makes the concepts stick way better than just theory
Also check out The Bitcoin Standard by Saifedean Ammous if you want the economic side it ties in nicely with Andreas stuff

I found a book called Mastering Bitcoin by Andreas M. Antonopolous released in 2014. It seems to have all the complete information a beginner one must need in order to really understand bitcoin.

I’m planning on making this thread kind of a reaction thread to the 240 something page of this book. If anyone has more recommendations or better suggestions for books one can read regarding bitcoin, I am open to it. I invite some beginners to also join me in this journey.

I hope you study the book to learn what will boost your understanding toward BTC, because you need some books like this to read every night and day to have something meaningful to display in this forum. I believe many beginners will go into research concerning this book that contain BTC, to learn some important things from the book, and if the book is not in the internet it will be hard for majority of beginners to use their physical money to buy this book.

As much as reading is needed, practically you need to learn some things. I have always use Bitcoin and it's easy but I learn to understand about Bitcoin transactions after I was able to do it in practice, you can be learning Bitcoin and be practicing it, like learning to test Segwit and legacy transactions, how to enable an RBF transaction to be able to bump fee. This things are the little things because you will not understand how some of them works until you try it.

If you practice them, it's helps the forum reduce the number of questions that we will have to go through, we will have questions on the board but it's not going to be about the basic, it's going to be about what is complex and with the learning its going to make everyone learn better instead of contradicting the tread with off discussions or even spamming threads.

One of the things that matters in bitcoin is practicality because when you practice it is even more effective than theory and that is why some people go ahead to get a mentor so that everything will go well, the theory learnt is for practical use so it will be better to just learn the practical than even the theory  and when you continue to practice you will even gain more experience that way.

And for anyone to master bitcoin the person have to be ready to be committed because there is just so much to learn and from consistency you continue to master everything, so everything depends on how serious the person is, because there is a lot of people that will talk and at the end of the day nothing changes. And there is always a different means for people to learn and everywhere is full of information so which ever means they want to use to aquire knowledge and resources on how to begin there journey and also survive throughout the process. I do not know in which platform you intend for this to happen, however, it is unnecessary. You can learn all that you need to learn on your own and then there is bitcointalk forum. In here you can ask questions, engage in constructive dialogue and get all the information you desire to get about BTC. It does not have to happen off the forum.

And on that, you should be careful when you ask people to contact you privately. Scammers usually see it as an opportunity to gain trust and eventually scam the person, so that is another thing you should look out for.

I haven’t tried reading mastering  bitcoin before. but I’ve been trying to wrap my head around understanding bitcoin, cryptography and all the encryption done on it for years. I’d read the on the internet , watched lectures, and scrolled through countless explanations, but nothing ever clicked until I came across this website learnmeabitcoin.com its is a book written  by Greg walker.

This book is the rare kind of nonfiction that feels like someone sat down next to you and said, “Okay, let me explain this properly.” Greg did not  just summarize the research; they walk you through the historical context, the key  basic explanation , the mistakes people usually make when trying to understand it, and most importantly the intuitive leaps that make everything suddenly fall into place.

The beginner section actually made me put the book down for few minutes because my brain needed to reboot from the “aha!” moment. I’ve literally never had that happen with an academic topic before.
The writing is clear without being condescending, rigorous without being dry, and generous with analogies that actually work. There are diagrams exactly where you need them, and the author anticipates your questions before you can even formulate them.

If you’ve ever felt stupid trying to understand bitcoin or if you think you already understand it but suspect you might be missing something important read this book. It’s the difference between memorizing the rules of chess and finally seeing the beauty of the game.

It's the basic understanding of the technical fundamentals of Bitcoin is what caused that belief among those early Bitcoin HODLers, and it's the same basic understanding from new users that's continuing the growth of the amount of HODLers.

There are many good books shared on this thread, which can help many people like me in improving there knowledge and understanding about Bitcoin. Apart from books and resources shared on this thread, this forum itself is an excellent place to learn Bitcoin and other core concepts of cryptocurrencies. Sections like 'Development & Technical Discussion' and 'Bitcoin Technical Support' have plenty of useful materiel already available for us to grasp. In case something is unclear or not already addresses here, we have the liberty to ask that here.

Even though his intentions might not be bad because he sounds like he wants a group chat where people can learn and guide each other, but you are right that it's unnecessary, because if it's only about knowledge, then people can get knowledge from forums and other places where resources are available, such as this forum, or any other platform where people can't easily access each other's DMs or private messages are not easily possible, because that increases the possibility of people trying to scam each other, and that's not good.

Platforms like Telegram are full of scams and scammers, and this is only because of this reason, it's because newbies often don't have any privacy options enabled, so scammers can easily get into their DMs, and then they start pitching their schemes to them, and out of a few hundred, they manage to get some response and eventually manage to scam them.
