When the intention shifts from entertainment to a mission to win, you’re already taking yourself to the danger zone. At this point pressure increases drastically, and expectations becomes higher, thereby turning what’s meant to be leisure activity into some kind of an endless financial chase.

As far as gambling is concerned, the default outcome remains losses, according to the house edge and every gambler needs to come to this realization before delving into gambling, as this helps gamblers set realistic expectations and reasonable limits. Basically Gambling is an entertainment. It's being used for fun purpose. However, things totally changed when people treated it as a way to double their money or become the next millionaire. So they gambling seriously with the hope to turn their hundreds USD to be tens thousands of USD or even million.

okay suppose i take it just as fun. but when it is played with money and i keep losing again and again will it feel fun to me or will i become serious about it. not everything can be done as fun. a person who has a lot of wealth that will never run out can take gambling as fun. but people like us will not take it as fun. the fun will last only as long as you keep winning. gambling needs your skill intelligence and patience. otherwise you cannot win by gambling. so i think if you want to play gambling just for fun you have to remove the thought of winning from your head. if it is in your luck the win will come anyway.

There are still people gambling for fun but they might not be much. Majority will gamble for anything and gradually addiction can start building without notice. Sometimes our addiction to gambling increase because we are not ready to take decisions that will limit our gambling rate. The point is that not everyone will take gambling less serious because of the way gambling has been designed gambling is not desin for fun,If gambling had been designed in a way where you just pay and play some games without winning, I would say people might not take it seriously.
